CHAPTER 8: The First Mission

They finally came to their senses, and opened their eyes slowly.

"Ughs. Why so dizzy" said elvin.

"Yes you're right vin, my head is spinning" said sebastian.

"Yet." Shouted gabriela who was surprised by the presence of alice, lupin, davion, riki, greg and grog.

"Hey calm down, it's me alice. You're conscious" asked alice.

Lupin immediately moved closer to Henderson, after lupin examined henderson's forehead. He remembered one thing, the emblem on Henderson's forehead belonged to the god of fortitude.

Davion came down from the second floor to meet sebastian, elvin, gabriela, and henderson.

The person also explained the irregularities that occurred. Sebastian, henderson, elvin, and gabriela were also confused. And they agreed to split up, elvin and gabriela went to look after the remaining cattle, while henderson and sebastian went to explore the area around.

"Alright we will start the search, elvin be careful in taking care of the animals" said sebastian.

Henderson and Sebastian left, he began tracing the crowded place first to find information, then to a less crowded place to conduct surveillance. But unfortunately they found nothing. Day by day they did not develop, but one night.

"Hey Sebastian did you hear that" whispered elvin.

"Yes I heard it" whispered sebastian.

"Let's take a look, and check it out" said Elvin.

And sure enough, look six people who are trying to steal livestock. Sebastian and Elvin capture the thief.

"hahaha, get to you" said Elvin who managed to catch the six people.

Hearing the commotion, gabriel and henderson went to the source of the commotion. And they're surprised that Elvin managed to find the culprit.

"Hahaha, I am indeed great" elvin said proudly.

"Finally we find the culprit, sebastian can you tell the city guards, and Henderson can you wake up the owner of the cattle" the gabriela orders.

"Well" said henderson and sebastian together.

The cattle owners got up and rushed, as well as the city guards, they rushed towards the location. And finally the thief was secured by the city guards.

"Alright your mission is complete, I will give a report to the guild and give your wages to the guild. Thank you for your help" said the cattle owner.

"Same sir, it has become our responsibility" said sebastian.

"Oh yes we still have things to do, we have to see Anne" said elvin.

"Yes you're right elvin." Henderson.

They rushed to the gatekeeper who was carrying the thief, and handed the recommendation letter given by davion, they went with the guard to the anne headquarters. Once there Anne also met elvin, sebastian, gabriela, and henderson.

"You are the messenger of the gods?" Anne said curiously.

"We were not sure either, but after we met the god and got this mark, lupin and davion immediately assumed that we were the messenger of the god" henderson explained to Anne by showing the mark on her forehead.

Anne was surprised, she was very familiar with the emblem painted on the forehead henderson, it is a symbol of ares which is a god of determination.

"All right, you guys come with me to the temple. You will prove there whether you are true messengers of the gods or not." Anne said.

"Alright, we'll follow you" said gabriela.

They also rushed to the temple ares, it was seen that there was a priest who was old enough to approach anne and henderson with his friends. Anne also explained what made them to the temple, the priest was surprised.

"You're the right henderson? The alleged messenger is ares. Can I see the authenticity of the sign?" Said the priest.

"Please don't mind" henderson said meekly.

"Alright, let me apply this water and cast a spell. Holy water the power of truth" said the priest who said the mantra of honesty and apply holy water.

As the temple trembled, the mark on Henderson's forehead shone, and the statue of ares in the temple hall gave off a light, as if resonating with henderson. Seeing this, the pastor prostrated himself before Henderson and said.

"Oh the saint of ares, forgive me for the sin I have committed by doubting you" said the priest.

Henderson also exchanged with ares, because of the resonance that occurred.

"I will leave this child to you, guide, train, for there is danger to come. He is the one I have bequeathed to protect the earth" said ares who possessed henderson.

"Well my god, I'll carry out your orders".

Henderson fainted.
