BABY SECRET
Chapter 16: Stay the Same

A pair of Yani beads widened, her mouth gaping, she unblinkingly looked at Sofia from head to toe. Once remembered with the inspirational woman of the year, but Yani brushed it away. He believes it's all just a coincidence.

“Sorry, Mom. I just came here to pick up my son. Excuse me,” Sofia said politely, calling like a stranger. A strand of smile was forced to form at the corner of his lips.

Sofia's soft voice attracted Yani's consciousness who was still dumbfounded by the circumstances. He turned his head quickly as Sofia began to slowly step up while grasping Nino's arm.

“Sofia, wait!” sergeant Reza ran and stopped Sofia's steps.

“Please give me a chance Sofia. I beg you to forgive me.” Reza knelt down on Nino's shoulders and looked at her. His feeling from the beginning was not wrong. His glazed net, now faced with Nino. “Nino, this is papa,” muttered Reza with a wavy sound.

There's no answer whatsoever. Nino's chest seemed to expand and deflate roughly. His gaze shone with rage. Even now his teeth were grinding strongly.

“Eh! Papa's? Where's the kid, Reza? Are you sure it's your son?” serobot Yani throws her lips. Both arms folded across his chest. A condescending look was cast on his daughter-in-law.

“You can't be fooled by Reza. Don't look down there's a man waiting for Sofia. Maybe it was his father. Keep coming here to make a living, huh? Halaah, guess what your good sense is!” Yani's mouth is the same. A hobby is throwing out a sentence that is spicily equivalent to bon cabe.

The middle-aged woman stepped up with a stupor. “Desche basics. Still dare to set foot here after so many years of leaving here. Bring your affair too!” Yani's arm was already swinging, but Nino's small arm swiftly brushed him off.

“Never call my mama like that, old grandma! My mom is the best woman in the world!" nino shouted with her eyes reddened. He didn't want to be more rude to the old man. But their treatment infuriates Nino uphill.

“Eh! What did you say? Not polite to you!” yani exclamation ruffled his waist while glaring sharply at Nino.

“Enough, Ma!” pekik Reza stood up. “Jaga Mama's speech! Sofia is not that kind of woman!” Reza turned to the woman who had been following Yani. “Ngapain you are still here too? Go!” reza's orders pointed out the house. Tired of being constantly urged to be close to the woman. Although he repeatedly refused.

“What the hell, Za? Your brain is always full of Sofia. Here's what it's gonna be. Everything looks right in your eyes!” cebik Yani squinted her eyes.

Sofia gave a smile, she was not at all offended or hurt at the words of her mother-in-law. His heart had been wrapped neatly until it was not easily destroyed. “Mother, just relax. Divorce filing is already in court acc. Just waiting for a call-up letter,” responded Sofia grabbed Nino's shoulder.

“Ah yes, one more. Without even making a living, I could still live on my own feet. I can still afford my son's life. Even if Nino is Mas Reza's flesh and blood. To bring him here alone, I strongly object. Excuse me, Assalamu’alaikum,” continued Sofia still smiling even though her chest rumbled violently.

Tama did not want to interfere, she just stared from a distance. Afraid that it would make Sofia worse in their eyes. He was just getting ready in the car while opening the passenger door wide.

“Sofia! Sofia, wait! We can talk about it, Sof. Please, don't mind your mother's words. He's just an emotion. Please withdraw the divorce lawsuit. I'll talk to mama. I beg you, Sofia. Nino, Nino want ‘kan stay with Papa?” cecar Reza panicked after Sofia. He held onto Nino's small arm that was about to get into the car.

“Sorry, Om. Nino did not want to make mama sad and cry,” refused Nini to take off Reza's hands slowly and soon followed her mother who had been sitting in the passenger seat.

The woman who had been with Yani, was approaching. “Tante, isn't that kid who is famous for playing the violin?”

“Iya, Aunt. And the woman ‘kan who often wara wiri in women's magazines. Ever entered TV too,” continued the young woman who immediately closed her mouth. ‘Damn it! Why did I tell you! Could fail to marry Reza!’ he swore in his heart.

“Reza! Looks like you have to test your DNA to make sure!” cetus Yani who only responded to his sharp gaze.

The car that Sofia was riding in, slowly left her residence. It frustrates Reza.

“Arrrgh! Without a DNA test I knew it was my son, Ma! Mama ruined everything!” reza shouted and slammed the door of his house.

...\=\=\=\=ooo\=\=\=\=...

“Mafin Nino Yes, Ma. Try not to go to Om Reza's house. Surely the old grandma will not snap at Mama. If it's not the old man, I've slammed him!” nino hugged her mother.

Sofia had a laughing reflex, she was relieved that Nino did not corner her after knowing all the facts.

“Nino not angry with Mama?”

“Hust?” tanya Nino turned back while looking up. Sofia bit her lower lip. He was ready if Nino was angry for separating him from his father.

“Where can Nino be angry with Mama? Nino knew, Mama definitely didn't want me to grow up in a toxic environment. Mama used to say that, right? Nino knows, Mama must always do the best for Nino,” said the boy made Sofia really moved.

“Nino, how about Om Tama who is your father?” serobot Tama who had eavesdropped on their conversation.
