BATTLE OR ALIVE
Chapter 02: Farewell

Bright light filled the entire room. Jell is in a state of confusion looking for what is the meaning of everything that is happening. The figure of the character floated up and approached him, floating in the air looking cute with his chibi* body shape.

(T/N: Chibi is a small person or dwarf.)

Glued with the figure, Jell put on an alert position. Instantly in that quiet place finally came a voice.

Small soft voice heard, “Voice of a small child.” the figure of the character was staring and said something to Jell.

“Welcome to my world. I welcome you with joy and friendliness, No.1!”

Confused because the situation was too sudden. “What the fuck? Who her? where am I, Why am I here?.” a thousand words appeared in his head, and no one can explain them all. Only the figure in front of him could explain.

“I'm pleased with your participation here. Since you've agreed to all the terms, then let's just start the game!.”

The figure seemed to be talking about something that made no sense to Jell, he calmly ventured to ask.

“Who are you? where is this?!”

The figure seemed unable to react to the question, it was in because right this puppet character was expressionless and without a mouth? The figure only explained a few things to Jell with a graceful look he floated up and surrounded her.

“What did you say No.1? it's not like you agreed to our game this morning. Did you forget it?.”

Cold air blew through Jell's spine. He looked pale with what the character was talking about, and more importantly, this puppet character was indeed very similar to the profile of the person this morning.

“You approved our game in chat this morning. So I came to pick you up. More importantly I will explain what you should do No.1.”

“What are you talking about?!.”

Jell seemed unable to understand what was going on. The character's figure paid no heed to Jell's question and continued his words.

“From now on you will I send to another world No.1. You will live a new life in that world. A fantasy world that no one thought of. Beauty Of Another World!.”

The figure seemed to explain with a sparkle and looked stunning. But it can be felt, if the character figure is not a cute chibi doll floating around.

“D-Another world?.”

Jell began to follow the flow of this conversation, and forgot all the questions and began to enter new questions that were more difficult to understand. The character seemed excited by his question. Although it cannot be seen but it can be felt that he is like that.

“Really!, Another Beautiful World, you will start the game from there. From zero to one hundred! … You will live in a fantasy world with many races and kingdoms that complement that world. There are so many things you can do and make that world the best life beyond this boring real life

“Actually what are you planning? forcing me into another world? what the fuck!.”

Jell seemed to object to the words of this floating chibi character. The character did not take a headache and seemed to have a reason that could surpass Jell's thought.

“Tax you? No, I never forced you No.1! You're the one who accepted my challenge.”

Jell was shocked by what the character said. He seemed to have consciously involved himself to this kind of complicated state. The memory of this morning's E-mail surfaced in his mind, he recalled that he had confirmed the challenge without him noticing.

“Good. But what kind of game am I playing?!.” *Prologist

He seemed to bite his lips a little. “Error!”, that's what Jell is thinking at the moment. Jell, who felt unable to do anything at this time, was forced to do what the floating chibi character said. It seems that this floating character is starting to continue the story.

“Jadi–, what should I do?.”

“Easy!. You just need to live in this world, easy right?.”

“Ha!–, you just told me to stay. Then why don't you just call someone else?.”

“Cannot. Only you and that person deserve this. That's because you guys are the best BOA players in the World ... … No.1 best player, Jell Kiyomizu. You're the highest-ranked player in BOA, and you're known for your unbeatable game!. Nicknamed as “KING” as the No.1 position on the leaderboard of Game Battle Or Alive.”

Dumbfounded that the reason he was involved was because of his No.1 position as the world's best player, making him feel a little regret about his achievements. Jell immediately recalled the words of this character, he said “You and that person—...”, it means there are others who are called besides him.

“You, you said that someone else was chosen with me, didn't you? who is he?.”

“Just relax No.1 You are not alone, what will be called with you is “No.2”.”

Jell asked that and was shocked by the answer she received. Number No.2 isn't he. With anger already reaching the crown, Jell shouted in anger.

“Fuck!, what are you doing?!, you involve Mai in this condition!.”

The character looked puzzled by Jell's angry shout, he seemed to feel like something was missing here that he had yet to explain.

“Blessed No.1, that No.2 will come with you. You don't seem to be told by her, that she also got the same request as you this morning.”

Dumbfounded by facts. Mai apparently also got an E-mail from this guy, and he wasn't told about it. Jell and Mai got the same email this morning from this guy.

This floating chibi character sees Jell's confused look, and continues his unfinished story, because it is always cut by Jell.

He explained the rules of the world that the two of them would live in. Rules/Taboo that must be remembered if in this world. Unlike rules such as Laws, this Character explains that the rules he conveys are like sacred rules from God. So every taboo pledge that has been determined means absolute in the work, and if not, then there will be a reward given.

Jell who hears and understands everything that is said. The silent character looked at Jell, and seeing that Jell had understood the rules he began to cry out again.

“Good. It's time we start the game.”

The bright white room instantly turned as dark as before. Instantly above them is seen a circle logo with pictures around it. The Magic Gate. The magic gate was enlarged in their heads, and once again the entire room began to light up and a strong shiny light dazzled Jell's eyes. He uses both of his hands as a protector.

The bright light illuminated still made Jell's eyes twitch. Instantly his body felt a different sensation from where it was.

Jell felt cold all over her body. In his eyes and what he saw made people speechless.

What they saw was not a delusion and not an illusion. A gentle breeze smashed into his face then all over his body. What he experienced during his life could not match what Jell was feeling right now.

Green meadows can be seen all over the place where Jell is, with the fresh breeze without pollution adding to this beauty to perfection.

that was what Jell had in mind as he looked, the beautiful scenery in the adorned Beautiful flowers that Jell had never seen before.

As far as the eye could see there were meadows and huge mountains. While his eyes were hypnotized with the sight in front of him Jell did not see his current state and state, for him anything that bothered him at this moment would he beat up. A voice instantly came out from Jell's mouth as her comment.

““Beautiful once..””

Simultaneously two voices came out just like that with the same tone and comment. Raised his body and consciousness while shouting he saw whose voice it was.

It was an unknown female figure, with long orange brown hair in the ponytail, her face covered in long bangs, which made Jell unable to see the woman's face. Once again Jell commented the same as the first sight.

“Beauty..”.

Jell flushed thinly on her face. Actually Jell would blush completely even clumsily if he was in that position, but he was acting shy like that would only he show for the first woman for him.

For Jell, Mai was all to him. If compared to any beautiful woman Mai still will not be replaced. “But for now it is not wrong to react is not?”, currently Jell is thinking about it.

Instantly a voice came out from the woman, a soft and beautiful voice, but it seemed like a familiar voice.

“What the fuck is with your reaction?.”

“Eh!”

Surprised by reality, the unknown woman raised her bangs and straightened her hair. That's Mai. He was right next to Jell, and he seemed to be the origin of the first voice Jell heard. Looking at Mai, Jell realized one very important thing and immediately wanted to say it.

“Mai! You–”

When asking about important things, Jell who immediately got up, and when he started talking, his shoulder was held and his mouth was placed on his index finger. As if telling Jell to shut up, that's Mai's movement against Jell's reaction.

Mai shook her head while “Tck tck tck” and started to lose Jell. Arranging the sitting position Mai started talking to degrade the atmosphere.

“Already...., let's see first the scenery in front ok?. On earth there is nothing like this, so let's enjoy it first .... After that I will listen.”

Silent but moving, the two sat down while leaning against each other. Like a pair of lovers, Mai put her head on Jell's shoulder. Grasping her fingers, Mai tries to lower Jell's anger, as she knows she is in danger. The faces of the two were so calm with a small smile on the face.

“You were fascinated, right?…”

Mai's whispering voice came out shattering the awkwardness. Jell replied with the same reaction as her.

“No, You're wrong view.”

“Mouh.., Tsundere base*(1).”

“I'm not Tsundere, you're the one who exaggerates.”

“Tuh right, still so.”

The two tease each other to remove awkwardness. But if people saw them, their image would be different to that. They will assume a couple of lovers who tease each other in a field of beautiful flowers.

“So, why didn't you say?.”

“Hmm? what are you talking about?.”

Patience reached the crown, Jell stood up because of Mai's reaction who thought it was normal, with veins on her head.

“”What” your bidat Boke!*(2), you got that e-mail and didn't tell me. You think how I react when I find out that!”

Jell scolded Mai in a high tone. Angered by Mai's abnormal actions, she was completely inexhaustible. The anger had not gone away and continued his words to Mai, but this time in a quieter voice.

“You know, that fool also has his limits. You think if anything happened I could've gone crazy on that!”

Mai was speechless, her face covered in bangs and did not respond to anything. Jell seemed really angry at Mai's selfish attitude, when getting something dangerous like that E-mail, and did not tell her. For Jell he was also wrong for not telling her either, but he was more afraid of what would happen to Mai than what would happen to her. “I'm too overrated. I should have been wrong too, why I did it.” in Jell's heart regretted it.

The room was immediately silent with both. Jell did not continue, and Mai did not respond. And venturing out, Jell apologized to Mai because it wasn't her fault. But those moments were cut by Mai. Mai voicing.

“Sorry.... I'm sorry. I'm also surprised by the reality .... if you also get it ..... I'm sorry.”

Mai apologized, but under different circumstances, Mai cried. Jell couldn't believe what she saw. He broke a promise he made 10 years ago. “Backed!. I'm a real asshole!.” Jell cursed at him who so easily broke the promise he made.

With Jell standing and Mai sitting in a squatting position, Jell approached her from behind and whispered.

“Sorry.”

Whisper such a sincere apology from him. Jell hugged Mai from behind. Hugged her tightly because she was afraid that Mai would leave her. With everything he said. Jell was so sorry for the delay.

“I'm sorry yes.., I'm overreacting…. I'm sorry also because I didn't tell you yes.., I don't want you in danger because that person I don't recognize. I don't want you to come with me in the hell I made because of my mistake.”

In her arms Mai was even tighter.

“I'm sorry! Don't leave me!.”

Jell's shout was so loud, it mixed with the wind and carried her away. And silence approached them.
