Then Abraham did not do the commandment of his Lord because it concerned his son. He first invited his khalim son to have a discussion first. He said, "My son, I saw in my dream that I was slaughtering you. Then try to express what you think!"

"O my father do what you have been commanded. God willing, you will find me among the patient ones" Ishmael answered.

The Prophet Ishmael then asked the Prophet Abraham to cover him with a cloth so that his blood would not splash on the father's shirt. She was worried that if the mother washed the father's clothes and saw his blood, the mother would cry because she remembered it.

So his Father the Prophets took his son to Mina. Then the prophet Ishmael lay down with a white cloth. Abraham and Ishmael both closed their eyes. They commit themselves sincerely to the Creator by fulfilling His commandments. Although with a heavy heart but both sincerely carry out the command of the Lord of the universe"

When the two struck the eye of the angel Gabriel came to exchange Ishmael for a lamb from heaven.

This is explained in the Qur'an letter of Assoffat verses 104-108

"Then We called him, ‘O Ibrahim! Truly, you have justified the dream.’ Verily, thus do We recompense those who do good. This is truly a test . We ransacked the boy with a big blow. We capture for Ibrahim (praise) among the people who came later, Beautiful” tells a long story explaining what he had learned as much as possible.
