Chapter 13
"Pa, I want to talk to you about something."
Arletta and Delon were alone in their room after putting Crystal to sleep. It had been two days since their wedding reception.
"What mi?" Delon asked while stroking Arletta's hair in her arms.
"If I make a terrible mistake, will you abandon me?" Arletta looked at Delon.
Delon was silent for a moment, then he smiled.
"Tell me, I'm not leaving you. My terrible mistake with you does not make you hate me." Delon answered, holding Arletta's hand.
"Did papa know?" Arletta asked suspiciously, when she saw her husband's response.
"On Bella?"
"Hm."
"Yes I already know. From the beginning I was suspicious because you are the director of CMC hospital which is an extension of Chemical Medical Center. But I didn't want to talk to you at the time, because I didn't care about Bella and I wanted to keep my job and try to improve our relationship."
"And who told you?" Ask Arletta.
Delon.
"Novi. He felt unfair to Andi because you preferred me over Andi who sacrificed so much for you."
Arletta was surprised to hear that.
"Novi know?" Tanya Arletta was shocked. He never thought that his secretary knew what Andi and himself had done to Bella.
"He knew that Andi had put Bella in a coma, but he knew that Andi was doing that to Bella for you." Delon. "I've confirmed the truth to Andi. Andi told me everything. It seems he has also explained what really happened to Novi, how his uncle and papa could have an accident to death." Delon.
"I'm sorry, I've asked Delon to take off Bella's ventilator." Arletta said solemnly. "At first I was afraid you'd hate me and Andi for what we've done to Bella, if you ever find out."
"Why are you telling me this now?" Delon Goda.
"What Andi and you did that put Bella in a coma like that is evil." Said Delon firmly while releasing his embrace to Arletta.
He wanted to kill his wife.
Arletta who was frightened by Delon's reaction her eyes began to tear up.
Delon laughed looking at Arletta's teary expression like that.
"Why? Mi, Bella after all will not be able to return to normal life." Andi cheered his wife. "Papa's kidding. Papa doesn't blame mom for mom's request to pull out Bella's ventilator. What was wrong was actually Andi's initial decision that my mother supported, but yes I don't want to care about it."
"Papa angry at Andi?"
"Son, papa understands why you're doing that." Delon again smiled in response to his wife's question.
"What matters now is that we all learn from our past mistakes and don't repeat them again.
"Thank you pa." Arletta hugged Delon.
"It's my turn to ask. Is Mom angry with Novi?" Tanya Delon was curious.
"Let's not. Mami even thanked him for representing my mother first to be honest to papa." Arletta answered seriously.
"But there's actually something troubling my mother's mind, where does Novi know?"
"meaning?" Ask Delon.
"Andi's been making Bella like that long before Novi worked with me. That's why I'm confused as to why he knows." Arletta.
"Hm.. I don't know, we better just forget about it! Now we just need to focus on caring for and making Crystal happy."
Arletta nodded with a smile, but in her heart she could not calm down.
It seems like there's something he and Andi don't know about Novi.
