Alana does not give up when she gets a rejection from Kenzo. He flinched back into his position while thinking about something.
"Why are you still here?" ask Kenzo.
Alana doesn't seem to care about Kenzo. He tried to persuade Kenzo back. "Once again I beg you. Please return the funds you have withdrawn from Papa's company." Alana clasped her hands together on her chest. He knows that Kenzo can see it.
"Do you think with your status as my wife, then I'll listen to you?"
Alana smiled bitterly. She knew that Kenzo only considered her a contract wife. "I mean nothing to you, sir. But I know one secret Master!"
Kenzo tickled. He was curious about Alana's intentions. "What do you know?"
"I know that Master is not blind!" alana exclaimed with a serious look at Kenzo's stiff face and waited for Kenzo's next reaction.
"Well, what if you knew I wasn't blind?"
Alana pricks to reduce nervousness. "I will spread the word, until the name of the Master is bad and every business associate of the Master will judge the Master as a fraud. Then you can imagine what will happen" said Alana ventured.
Kenzo was silent for a moment. Then he looked at Alana with a faint smile. "Do you think Kenzo Thompson is afraid of what a woman like you says?"
Alana felt intimidated hearing Kenzo's words. His tongue was a mute, and his mouth seemed incapable of bribing. "Sa-I'm sorry sir. Then I say retreat first", he said nervously, then rushed out of Kenzo's room.
"Wait a minute!" kenzo Kala Alana holds the door handle. "Something I want to ask you."
Alana turned her body and looked at Kenzo with a serious face. "Sir asked what?"
"Sit down first."
Alana followed Kenzo's request. He sat right in front of Kenzo.
"Do you remember what happened 12 years ago?"
What did Mr Kenzo mean? Does he know about the accident that happened to Mama? Alana kept asking inside.
Kenzo realized, if the question is less clear. He also cleared his throat as he got up from the chair. "Have you ever given anything to a man who was still wearing white-gray clothes in a park 12 years ago?"
Alana frowned confused and tried to remember. "I don't remember Mister", he replied, shaking his head.
Kenzo breathed into the air. Then he began to tell me. "12 years ago, when I was sitting alone on a park bench near my Papaku's office, a little girl came to give me a lollipop. He said he was also sad because of his mother." Kenzo paused his speech. He approached Alana, until they were only one step away.
"The little girl thought I was sad because my test scores were good, so she said to me. If you're bad, it's not because you're stupid, it's because you don't know how to do things right. Then the little girl smiled and continued her words, Brother do the easiest thing first, after that do what you think is difficult. If all the problems are difficult, then choose between the hardest which is the easiest."
Alana seemed to remember that remark. The exact same words that his late mother had told him.
"Are you starting to remember something?" ask Kenzo to Alana.
"Yes, I remember what my late mother said." Alana smiled, then puffed her chuby cheeks.
Kenzo smiled looking at Alana's cute expression. The expression he had seen before. "At that time I was only 17 years old, my father had a heart attack, because of company problems and finally could not be helped. While my mom couldn't accept that fact and ended up catching up with Papa."
Kenzo took a long breath. "I was young at the time, but I had to deal with a corporate problem that adults were not necessarily able to solve. But the words of a little girl have changed my outlook. He gave me the courage and strength to solve a problem I was slowly able to solve."
Alana stared at the handsome face of Kenzo who was also looking at her. "But I can't remember Sir, probably because I was 8 years old."
Kenzo understands the situation of Alana who is still a child, of course he does not really remember it.
"Why is Mister so sure that the little girl is me?"
"The necklace you have and the hairpin, exactly the same as the little girl's."
"Which necklace? Or maybe..."
"Yes" said Kenzo when he found out what Alana was going to say. "I've seen your necklace in the silver box."
"The necklace was a gift from my late mother." Alana looked at Kenzo sharply, she did not like her personal items being touched without permission.
"I just wanted to make sure that the necklace was worn by the little girl I met 12 years ago."
"Whatever your reason, sir, I still don't like anyone touching my personal belongings without permission!"
"Then I apologize, and want to thank you for the simple words that can arouse my spirit."
"Together, sir", said Alana. But in his mind something. "But I have one request" he continued.
Kenzo, who was smiling, suddenly changed his expression. "Do you still want me to return your Papa's company funds?"
Alana nodded. "If you consider me to be that little girl, then in return please grant my request, Sir", the Alana Tree boldly. Alana's humble attitude changed instantly just for the sake of following her Papa's love.
Kenzo's feelings are slightly disappointed, as Alana does not remember the incident but Alana asks for a return. She begins to doubt that Alana is the little girl she's been looking for all this time.
"Then I will return your Papa's funds but on one condition" Kenzo said.
"Why are there conditions? Don't you want to return the favor?"
"If you don't want to, then I don't have to give it back either."
Alana clucked resentfully, because to return the favor must use the conditions. "Well, what's the condition, sir?"
"Guide me on a 1-week service trip out of town."
"Are we going to be in one room?"
"For that matter, you calm down. Because the hotel we're staying at is mine, so our room looks one, but it's 2 rooms inside."
"Alright, I agree", Alana replied without hesitation. He smiled at how happy his father was when he heard the news that he would say later.
"The refund process may take several days. Tell your father about it" Kenzo said when he saw Alana's happy face. "And one more thing. No one knows my situation" he continued, which made Alana gasp.
"Well, sir", replied Alana hesitantly. He didn't dare tell Kenzo the truth.
