The Wife Carrying Festival

Bo Li sat in the restaurant room while enjoying his breakfast with Ivander Liam.

He did not pay attention to his food and still daydreamed and continued to chew his breakfast slowly.

"Is the food bad?", asked Ivander Liam.

"Sorry, I'm not focusing on my food, and it looks like I'm full, Ivander Liam" Bo Li said.

"Is the breakfast not good or maybe you want something else, Bo Li?", asked Ivander Liam.

"Oh, no, I don't want anything and may I go back to my room, Ivander Liam?", Bo Li said.

"You still feel tired or you want to walk around this city" Ivander Liam said.

"Mmm, I don't want anything, I feel uncomfortable now" Bo Li said.

Ivander Liam then grabbed the dinner plate and fork and knife in Bo Li's hand and he fed Bo Li the breakfast on the plate.

"Eat, if you don't eat much during the summer it will make you sick, Bo Li" Ivander Liam said.

"Yes.", replied Bo Li slowly.

Bo Li was obedient when Ivander Liam started bribing him for a bite for a bite of food and there were not many words he said from Bo Li's mouth.

When the hotel room door opened, Ivander Liam immediately stepped into the room of Bo Li's hotel room.

"Why did you enter this room ? I want to change clothes" Bo Li said.

"Go and I'll wait for you to finish" Ivander Liam said.

"Come Ivander Liam, I don't want to ruin the holiday atmosphere this summer with you" Bo Li pleaded.

"Calm down ! And immediately change!", said Ivander Liam with a pressing tone.

Bo Li did not refute Ivander Liam's remarks and began to change his clothes quickly, today he wants to look casual and look relaxed.

The handsome-looking man then gently rubbed Bo Li's cheeks that met red when he heard Ivander Liam's words.

"Come, we get out of here and enjoy our real summer vacation" Ivander Liam said smilingly.

Ivander Liam and Bo Li are seen walking out of the GLO Kluuvi Helsinki Hotel towards a car that Ivander Liam had rented during their time in Finland.

The car takes them away from the hotel to the streets in the city of Helsinki in a relaxed manner.

"Take us to the summer festival venue in Helsinki located in Esplanadi park" Ivander Liam told the driver.

Bo Li then turned his head towards Ivander Liam while saying to his fiancee.

"Festival ? Is there a festival celebration event during the summer in Helsinki?", Bo Li asked the blond man.

"True, there will be a summer festival in Helsinki and usually people in the city celebrate it in Esplanadi park", Ivander Liam said.

"It's very exciting and I'd love to see the festival" Bo Li said enthusiastically.

"There's a race at the summer festival there and now it's time we can sign up and join the race. Are you interested?", asked Ivanderi Liam.

"Yes, I want to, and I want to try it out for the race, who knows we'll win it" Bo Li replied.

"All right, and I will not force him or forbid him" Ivander Liam said.

"Isn't it also your idea to enjoy our summer vacation in Helsinki and I don't want to waste our vacation here" Bo Li said.

"Really.", said Ivander Liam while raising his eyebrows.

About twenty-five minutes the car arrived at the Esplanadi park area, the driver parked the car right near the area where the summer festival was held.

"How about we go down now, Bo Li ? Because we have to quickly register for the race now" said Ivander Liam.

"Yes, and let's get to Esplanadi park as soon as possible, Ivander Liam ! I don't want to miss that race event" Bo Li said.

Bo Li opened the door of Ivander Liam's rented car and quickly got down from the car.

They register their names to participate in the race and the race to be held today is a festival carrying couples or often known as the wife carrying festival.

There were a number of male and female couples preparing to march in the race area, a race organizer approaching Bo Li and Ivander Liam.

"Why should we change our clothes?", asked Bo Li.

"I'm sorry, because the race field will make your clothes dirty and somewhat troublesome when dressed neatly" replied the woman who is the race committee.

"Alright, we will change our clothes with others and soon" Bo Li said.

"Okay, please excuse me first and hope your summer vacation will be fun" the woman said with a friendly smile.

Bo Li and Ivander Liam are seen walking towards the line of contestants at the summer festival. And stand at the race number.

A race committee began to organize the race participants and each participant must line up neatly by holding his partner during the race.

"A-what.... What did the race organiser say ? Carrying ?", Bo Li asked dumbstruck.

"Dad, you have to be carried during the race and for those who make it to the finish line first then he is the winner" replied Ivander Liam.

"Huh !? What?" said Bo Li.

"That's the condition of this race, my dear and trust me" Ivander Liam said.

"Oh no... I made a mistake again" said Bo Li.

"How ? Can I carry you?", asked Ivander Liam.

"Yes.., please, and for the sake of this race and to win it then I allow it you carry me", said Bo Li.

"up ! You are quite heavy too, Bo Li", Ivander Liam said as he lifted Bo Li's body.

Bo Li blushed in embarrassment when he heard Ivander Liam saying that his weight started to rise.

"Sorry about it and I will promise to keep my weight" Bo Li said.

Ivander Liam holds Bo Li and prepares to march on the life-carrying race. He had stood at the very front line excitedly.

"Let's get ready for the race, Bo Li!", said Ivander Liam. "And hold on tight to me, !", he continued.

"Yes, I understand" Bo Li said.

When the sound of gunfire erupted in the air three times and when the flag was raised to the top then the race immediately began.

"One ! Two ! Three!", exclaimed the race committee gave a warning to all participants of the race.

Race participants began to run fast while holding their respective partners.

"Let's get some spirit ! Come on spirit!", there were cries from the race audience at the summer festival in the Esplanadi park area.

Ivander Liam ran while holding Bo Li vigorously, he moved quickly among the other race participants.

The blond man continued to run fast and was at the front while Bo Li continued to hold on tightly while embracing the neck of Ivander Liam, his fiancee. And his face that met red was extinguished with shame.

The summer holidays of Bo Li and Ivander Liam were so much fun for both of them even though the beautiful woman never realized the race she entered was very unique.
