Invitation of King Sergio
Lucas is heading to his inn. From the Adventurers Guild to the Lucas Inn it only took about 10 minutes to arrive.
Not yet reached the inn from a distance Lucas had already seen dozens of soldiers outside the inn.
'Are they looking for me?'
Lucas who saw dozens of soldiers in front of the inn speeding up his pace, he wanted to see what other game the Nobles of this kingdom were willing to play after he killed 100 soldiers.
The soldiers who were outside the inn saw Lucas coming directly around him by brandishing their swords.
Lucas who saw himself was surrounded only put on an indifferent face.
"Are the lessons I gave in front of the city gate still not enough?" asked Lucas indifferently.
The soldier who surrounded Lucas certainly knew about the news of the 100 soldiers who died in front of the city gates. Before one of the soldiers wanted to answer Lucas's question, a man's voice came from inside the inn.
"I hope this friend can cooperate with us to come to the Royal Palace"
A middle-aged man walked out of the inn wearing white armor with a sword at his waist. Lucas could feel this man in front of him was quite strong.
The middle-aged man walked to Lucas' front and said to the soldiers surrounding Lucas.
"Let down your swords" the beak man ordered sternly and then he introduced himself to Lucas.
"Include my name is Hendrik, the general of this kingdom" said General Hendrik politely without any arrogant tone. General Hendrik initially thought Lucas could kill 100 soldiers with the help of an Artifact. However, when he stood in front of Lucas his fighting instincts instantly sounded the alarm of danger.
Hendrik did not doubt his fighting instincts because his instincts had been honed on the battlefield and thanks to those instincts he had managed to avoid death.
"Would this friend come with us to the Royal Palace?" hendrik.
"Show me the way" Lucas said because he was curious what game to play after he arrived at the Palace.
Pedestrians who saw Lucas in the escort of dozens of soldiers led by General Hendrik felt sorry for his fate because they actually knew that Lucas had been slandered, but what is their power is only ordinary people without power.
30 Minutes Later.
Lucas had arrived at the Royal Palace and he had followed General Hendrik to the Palace Hall Room. In the distance Lucas could already see a large door with luxurious ornaments.
Then the door opened General Hendrik slowly. Inside the room Lucas could see the Nobles discussing something. When Lucas had just stepped in he suddenly felt a killing intent and then Lucas sought the source of the killing intent, until his gaze was fixed towards the middle-aged man wearing blue clothes was staring at him full of hatred.
Without asking Lucas already knew that the middle-aged man was Duke Chester, the father of Ernest whose hands he had cut off because he wanted to make him his bodyguard.
Lucas was only indifferent as he sensed the killing intent of Duke Chester and followed General Hendrik to King Sergio.
"Hamba is back, Your Majesty" said General Hendrik kneeling upon arrival in front of King Sergio.
As for Lucas he just stood up while nodding towards King Sergio.It made some Nobles angry.
"Please! Quickly kneel before His Majesty" shouted one of the Nobles when he saw Lucas not kneeling.
"Didn't I have nodded which means I respect him" pointed Lucas towards King Sergio.
King Sergio frowned when he saw Lucas disrespecting him. This made King Sergio unhappy about Lucas' actions, but as King he could not show his expression of dislike towards Lucas.
One of the generals who had a sturdy body in the Palace Hall Room advanced before King Sergio.
"Your Majesty let me teach this boy a lesson about what Ethics means?" said the General.
King Sergio did not answer. However, it was enough to say that King Sergio allowed the General to teach Lucas a lesson.
Lucas frowned when he saw King Sergio allowing the General to teach him a lesson. Lucas initially thought King Sergio was a King who was good enough to see from his performance.
"I'm sorry, Your Honor, it's not a presumptuous servant, but it's not a good thing" General Hendrik felt it could be forgiven even if Lucas was wrong.
General Hendrik who was snapped by King Sergio can only be silent down. He as a subordinate could not challenge the King's decision.
Lucas who saw their drama couldn't help but shake his head.
Then King Sergio glanced at the General who had been a sign that he could continue. The general who understood the gesture advanced in front of Lucas.
"Son, it looks like I should teach you a lesson for disrespecting the King" the general said.
Lucas stared at the General Males in front of him.
"Why child? Afraid? it's too late unless you kneel before the King maybe I can forgive you" said the General laughed cynically at the follow all the Nobles in the room is no exception for King Sergio who displays his smile.
In that room no one cared about Lucas' fate they just wanted to watch the show that the General was going to do.
"What do you really want?" ask Lucas who is getting bored.
"Give the Artifacts you have and bow down apologetically to Duke Chester and then cut off your hand" King Sergio said.
Lucas frowned at King Sergio's request.
'Is this not a robbery?'
"If I refuse?" ask Lucas.
"Don't expect you to get out alive from this Palace Hall" King Sergio said coldly.
Initially Sergio wanted to help Duke Chester catch Lucas. However, when he heard Lucas had the Artifacts he changed his mind and he made a pact with Duke Chester that he would help capture Lucas, but the artifact in Lucas' hands must belong to the Kingdom.
Of course it was immediately agreed by Duke Chester although a little reluctant in his heart to hand over a valuable Artifact.
For a Kingdom like the Merty Kingdom they only had one Rank A Artifact. King Sergio considered Lucas to have a Rank A Artifact because it could kill 100 soldiers without knowing and only Rank A Artifacts and above have this ability.
"Well...." Lucas sighed softly then his gaze turned cold as he said.
"I warned you by killing 100 soldiers, but you ignored the warning and instead you wanted to retrieve my Artifacts" Lucas said.
"If we want to take an Artifact by force, what can you do?" duke Chester's Daughter. For Duke Chester to deal with Lucas was just a piece of cake.
"Aren't you afraid of what you people know?" ask Lucas.
"What to fear? I am the ruler of this kingdom and I can turn white into black or vice versa" King Sergio said arrogantly.
"Hurry up and get this boy the Artifacts on his body" King Sergio ordered the general who wanted to teach Lucas a lesson.
"Okay, Your Majesty" the General replied.
Then the general came forward Lucas with a cynical smile and thought Lucas was nothing in front of him.
"Son, in the next life do not be too arrogant in the face of absolute strength" the general said as he swung his sword towards Lucas' neck.
It's not that Lucas was just staying in place. Of course the General was rejoicing in his heart at Lucas' stupid behavior, he felt Lucas was afraid that's why he didn't avoid.
When the general's sword was 5 cm from Lucas' neck, it suddenly stopped.
And the subsequent turn of events left the person in the room shocked. Because the hand used by the General to slash Lucas' neck was suddenly cut off.
"You.." said the general surprised then he immediately jumped back while drinking Potions.
Slowly but surely his hand was cut off just now began to regenerate.
