Chapter 56: The Aspendia Gemstone

Chris took off Richard's earlobe and the 20-year-old man rubbed his ear that had been fouled by his senior.

"It hurts!!" richard was upset with Chris.

"Why are you hanging around, Richard? Don't get used to it even though we've been here a lot."

Richard immediately pouted and the two of them finally decided to return to headquarters.

"Chris.." when they returned, Chris and Richard turned to Bella and Gladys.

"You're called by the chairman now" Bella told the man.

Chris took a long breath. There must be something he's talking to her. Whether it's casual or serious talk.

"alright... I'll go" said Chris walking away leaving the three of them.

Richard began to wonder why the chairman wanted to speak to Chris face-to-face and asked the two women.

"I don't know. The chairman just told me to call him when you guys got back."

"What about a visit to the Aspendia Palace?" now Gladys asked changing the topic.

"The queen is gone. The butler said he'd be home much longer, so we decided to go back to the palace tomorrow."

Meanwhile, Chris had already entered the chairman's study and waited for the chairman to speak.

"Chris... There's something I'm talking about with you both."

Chris was silent waiting for the continuation of the chairman. The first time he spoke with the chairman.

Usually he would talk to himself while having dinner together with the other members.

"About the Hulta Kingdom in the western part of the island of Aldatia. Can you handle that?"

"I mean chief... I'm gonna go and expand there like that?"

"Tomorrow you and Richard will go see Queen Bianca, won't you? Please give this to the queen," the chairman handed him a small box.

Chris was curious about the contents of the box, but the intention was undone because it was disrespectful. Only the queen and the head know the box.

"alright... You can leave now," Chris lowered his head slightly and rushed out of the room.

The man slightly glanced towards the chairman who was sighing long. Although from a distance, Chris could see the expression of the sad chairman.

"So... This the place?" aaron asked as he looked at the magnificent temple in astonishment.

"It should be called the Northern White Temple, the whole building is painted white."

"Let's go in," Bianca asked the two men. As the three of them went inside, they met a 70-year-old man standing looking at the huge statue.

"You have come, apparently" said the man at last.

"Where do you know we're here?" ask Oscar confused.

"Of course I know that, young man. Come here..."

The three of them followed the old man and finally they stopped in front of a large snow-white door with a large snowflake engraving.

"Please go inside and may you return safely."

The old man walked away leaving the three of them in a daze.

"What is that old man? He said we should be safe back?"

"Maybe there's a trap inside" Oscar replied to Aaron.

"Well!! What traps?" aaron replied to dismiss this.

Bianca just smiled wryly at Aaron's words. Watch out you complain later?

Upon entering the temple, they are greeted by mysterious spirits who try to attack them.

Soon, Aaron and Oscar attack the spirits until they disappear due to the attack of the two men.

Suddenly Bianca is reminded of an RPG game, where warriors, tankers, and magic gather in one unit and search for a treasure through a labyrinth called dugeon.

"Newly entering was already greeted by obscure spirits.." murmured Aaron.

"They are the protective spirits of this temple. Duty yes... Protecting from those who tried to enter the temple," explained Aaron in the middle of the journey looking for a box called by Jacob.

"Just give the old man a word like that."

The three of them stopped and found a 2-door in front of him.

"There are 2 doors.... Where do we go?" oscar said confused while thinking.

"Through here," Bianca casually walked towards the left.

"H-hey... Why decide for yourself, if there is another trap how?" aaron responded a little protest.

"That's it... Just trust me, "they finally entered the left door and sure enough, there were no traps at all.

The next few meters, there were the temple's protective spirits again and they easily defeated the spirit.

The three of them decided to rest by forming a triangle.

"Yabg noble... What noble isn't tired?" ask Oscar to be worried. He knew the queen was sick.

The young man actually protested to his father who asked Bianca to take the box she wanted.

Even though the queen is sickly, especially her disease can take a person's life.

"It's okay, Oscar. I'm still strong. Looky... I'm still strong, aren't I?" Aaron who was just silent while glancing only let out a long sigh.

"alright... Let's continue our journey."

They stood up and continued their journey. It did not feel like they finally arrived at a special storage room where the box made of beautiful jewels was there.

However, a huge monster gets in their way and inevitably, Bianca, Aaron, and Oscar must fight the monster.

Just a few rounds, they finally managed to defeat the monster and immediately took the box requested by Jacob.

Bianca took the box and a light lit up around the city.

The box opens on its own and displays a beautiful blue Saphire gem.

"That rock, right.." Oscar was surprised not to play looking at the gemstone in the box.

"What's Oscar?" asked Aaron confused, as well as the queen.

"That's... The Aspendia Gemstone!! Stone pair with Aspendia's Ktistal Stone!!"

"What?!" bianca and Aaron were confused again.

The Aspendia Crystal Stone slowly shone as the chairman was finished with his task. He glanced towards the crystal stone that was mysteriously lit up.
