When she enters, Winter discovers that Red is sitting in bed reading a book.

Winter's heart was pounding with fear, as her adrenaline drained away as she watched Red sitting casually on the bed, leaning back and reading a book.
Winter gulps down his saliva violently and tries to walk very carefully so as not to cause any disturbing sounds.
Winter to the point of disgusting his feet was about to sit towards the sofa that was near Red's bed.
"What are you doing walking like a thief?"
Red exclaims when he sees Winter grossly footing when stepping, like a thief indeed.
