Campus Whiz
Chapter.15(Murmings of sadness)

"Mother!"

Amidst the silence of the silent night, Tito lay alone in his room, blown away by the inevitable wave of pain. His heart was filled with a deep longing for the long-lost figure of his mother. In that silence, murmurs of sadness were uttered from his lips involuntarily.

"Which girl might understand my loneliness?" muttered Tito with a hoarse voice. "Every time I win, there's no one I want to share that happiness with. Mom, how could I feel alone in a crowd but feel lonely?"

The murmurs of Tito's grief depict the emptiness in him that is unfilled. He longs for his warm touch and his mother's embrace which dispels all anxiety and pain. Mother is a figure who is always there for her, providing unlimited support and love. But that was then, now that figure was no longer there for him.

"That miss has shackled me even more" Tito said sadly. "I need someone who understands how hard it is to be me. Someone who can look beyond the public spotlight and see the real me. Mom, why do I feel like I can't find a person like that?"

In the murmurs, Tito pondered how meaningful the mother figure in his life was. Mothers are people who always listen to curses, give thoughtful advice, and provide unconditional support. Her passing has left an irreplaceable void in Tito's heart, and worsened his relationship with his father, even though his father is now married again.

"When I am in trouble, or win, I often wish that my mother was here" Tito muttered in a trembling voice. "I want to see a proud smile on his face and hear words of praise from him. Advice from him and now I'm in his absence is hollow, mother."

In the longing murmurs, Tito mumbled a promise to his mother who had passed away. "I'll keep living like this, mom. I want to live my life the way I want and I will achieve the greatest success, but will never forget a more cruel life without you mother. I'll find someone who can fill the void in my heart, like your love never fades."

In the silence of the late night, the murmurs of grief slowed down slowly. Tito took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. Although the grief was still there, he knew that he had to continue his life journey with renewed hope and determination.

Tito decided to make the murmurs of grief a drive to continue fighting to achieve his goals, not only in meaningless wild races and the heavy process of his life, the problems he was facing as well as other problems. But also in his longing to seek true happiness and the presence of someone who is able to make him change.

The next day, Adit, Reksa, and Tito wake up feeling uneasy. They felt the effects of a night filled with drink and excitement. When they saw the clock on the wall, they realized that they were too late to enter the campus.

With their heads still dizzy and bodies limp, they attempted to gather up their spirits and immediately get ready. Busy washing their face, brushing their teeth, and wearing clothes in a hurry, they try to cover up their delays.

They got out of the house quickly, jumped into their motorbikes. And drove at high speed towards the campus. The normally smooth road is now full of slow-moving vehicles, adding to their already late frustrations.

In the car, they looked at each other with dizzy and tired expressions. Fatigue and the effects of an excessive night are increasingly felt. They hope to arrive on campus quickly and avoid further problems.

However, the more they approached the campus, the more it felt that time was running faster. They felt like they were in a race against unstoppable time. Every second felt precious, and they tried their best not to be late.

"Damn ... We're really late!" yell Adit.

"Yes ... It's all because of Lo!"

Only Tito looks ordinary, he is seen riding his motorcycle casually.

With gasping breath and sweat pouring down his forehead, Reksa and Adit stepped into the classroom with mixed feelings of relief and regret.

They met the lecturer who had started the lesson and tried to explain the reason for their delay with a face that was still pale and lethargic. Although the lecturer gave a reprimand and a sharp look, they were grateful to still be allowed into the classroom. While Tito sauntered without saying anything when his two friends spoke to their lecturer.

The lecturer only sighed to see Tito who had sat down without asking for permission like his two best friends.

"Sit down! And fix your clothes." he exclaimed at the two students who appeared to be dressed in a mess.

While sitting on the bench, their heads were still dizzy and their gazes were twitching. They realize that their actions last night had real consequences. But they do not care about it let alone try to be more responsible and avoid activities that can disrupt the balance of their lives and academics.

Their mistakes are not a bitter reminder of the importance of maintaining health and discipline in living daily life. In the silence of the class, especially Tito, he just put his head on the table and went back to sleep.

Although their heads are still dizzy and their bodies are tired, Reksa and Adit try to stay focused on the lessons and follow the lectures well. They do not expect to be able to cope with the side effects they feel and learn from their mistakes.

They do not regret that it is too late to act silly. They choose to see the funny side of their delay and try to make the atmosphere lighter.

"My head is still heavy! I want to sleep all day or mabook it again?"

"Damn ... You look at Ijul. He's a doang who doesn't care what's in class but won't get into trouble. Different from us, hunted catet!" said Adit who continues to try to write even though he feels the same as Mutual.

Until the session ended and the lecturer went out with a single glance towards Tito who did not care about him. The boisterous voice again sounded like a lecturer. Reksa and Adit really let out a sigh of relief and continued to act silly. The two of them were unable to hide their hilarious-looking state. Adit flicked his hands in the air in a dramatic style, as if he were in action in an action movie. Mutual casually threw spontaneous jokes, trying to make his friends smile.

"Lost my permit ... Lost hope!" yelled Adit singing music of the 80s.

"Lo crazy ... What's that singing!?"

Adit, though still feeling dizzy, waved his hands excitedly and sang a song in a strange voice. They try to dilute the tension and make the atmosphere in the classroom more cheerful.

Their classmate friend who was initially annoyed by their delay, could not help but smile at the sight of their ridiculous attitude.

"The crazy people are both of them!"

"Yes ... Really crazy!"
