The Life Stone Guard made the two of them go to the Future to enter into their true bodies in order to have no rejection of their souls.

However, The guardian of the Stone of Life made the two part ways and if they could meet let alone forge love it meant that Emperor Franz and Empress Shiena were truly matchmakers and destined to be together be it past Life or present Life.
