Cinderella and the Mafia Chairman

Cinderella and the Mafia Chairman
Section 39

Kai fell silent as if he did not care when Darrel asked about Nay's attitude. What's the difference between raising a son and daughter-in-law? That's the question that's lodged in Darrel's brain. Really, he wants to immediately get blessing even though the matter of marriage is still in Ella's decision.

"Why shut up Pa?" Kai smiled wryly, glanced for a while then returned to pay attention to the firearm in his hand.

"You don't know your mother very well." Darrel breathed a heavy sigh. He understood the saying because Nay's plan could not be challenged. Kai, the ruler, is bowing to his word.

"Ella is not as weak as it seems. She's tough enough to be my best friend."

"Tell that to your Mama." Kai kept his gun behind a suit and sat leaning back.

"Stop acting like a statue. Papa should be firm in making decisions. Papa is the head.... Agh!!! It hurts!!!" Darrel turned to look at the owner of the hand that was carrying his ear.

"You're spreading poison." Darrel pulled his body back. She grinned while looking at Nay.

"Come on Ma."

"Stop whining Darrel. You're not a kid anymore. Be an adult especially now that you have a sister." Ella was speechless, looking at Kai, Nay and Darrel alternately. Some of the aides seemed to be lined up like skin-clad robots.

"If my mom thinks I'm an adult. Please give me your blessing."

"Naffsu. Ella doesn't even want you. You will be brothers and that decision cannot be easily shifted. Come on baby, we'll eat. Mama's been cooking a lot." Nay gently led Ella into the dining room. Kai moved and clung to Darrel's head. Aaaaaaaakkkkkk!!! Sontak Darrel looked quickly.

"The girl's your responsibility. You've brought him into our family and that means his life is in your hands. Never whine like a baby. Malulah with age!" Gerrutu Kai looked at Darrel sharply then started to step up.

"When I act like a baby!!" Shouted Darrel growled. He's been feeling in stepchildren since Ella stayed home a few hours ago. It didn't matter to him as long as Ella remained nearby.

"Now." Answer Kai without turning around. Darrel ruffled his hair while walking after Kai.

"I'm just venting my frustration Pa. What wrong?" Darrel said.

"No, for a boy while your age deserves to be called a man." Kai embraces both shoulders of Darrel who has the same height posture. I don't know since when Darrel's face turned much more handsome as if all the best physical both his parents managed to get.

"Yes." Yeah."

When he reached the dinner table, Nay deliberately ignored Ella who had difficulty eating a steak-shaped dish. His manic stared at the plate while occasionally looking up at Nay.

Where's nasi? There are only vegetable pieces. Keep this meat...

Ella looked towards Nay who still had not touched the food. Ella's lips were turned upside down as Nay greeted Kai sweetly. The attitude that Mother always shows when she is alive. Never to be missed, the mother prepared a delicious dish for her family. Warm and beautiful, now the memories are repeated in front of him as if to be a flashback of the past.

"It's called steak." Without saying much, Darrel took over Ella's plate and cut the steak into small pieces.

Kai stared at the activity for a little while. Quite amazed to see Darrel's sweet attitude that was first shown. Usually his son likes to be served. All dating activities are monitored secretly. Not a single girl is able to make Darrel behave so sweet even though dozens of girls managed to date.

"Jeez Mama's jealous. Your whole life never did that to Mama." Darrel smiled, shifted Ella's plate and then intended to take Nay's plate." No dear. Mama's joking." Pinta Nay holds the plate so Darrel doesn't take it.

"He's jealous?" Ella smiled awkwardly. Still unfamiliar being around a new family for him.

"Where might Mama be jealous of her own child."

"What's the difference between a Princess and a Son-in-law." Nay smiled as he cut the steak and then devoured it. He understands Darrel's heartwarming now.

"The princess will not produce a seed while a daughter-in-law.." Glancing towards Ella." Do you need Mama to explain? Being your companion should not be chosen. Our enemy is getting stronger and it could endanger your family if later your wife is too weak." Ella felt shunned. The movement of his hand stopped when he had wanted to feel the steak before him.

"I can take care of him."

"No Darrel it'll be difficult. Mama doesn't want anything to happen to you."

"Mama used to be an ordinary person, just like Ella."

"But.."

"Bring your promise Darrel! Can your father eat quietly!!" Ella's getting uncomfortable. Kai's bad voice sounded like a broken speaker. Buzzing and echoing in the room.

"Hm." Darrel started cutting the steak and then devouring it with the vegetable. Every now and then she glanced at Ella who had not touched her food." After this we order rice if you're not full." During the few days of living together, Ella's appetite increases and she often feels hungry. Darrel understood this so well that the refrigerator in his apartment contained many foods from bread to light snacks.

"Oh, eat rice. Oh, baby, just a second." Nay's tone turned soft along with the look of a shady face. Even though a few minutes ago the face was still showing indecision. Ella doesn't move until Nay returns with one plate of rice." Get used to Ella. Debate happens a lot but we love each other and take care of each other." Ella nodded then started eating the steak in front of her.

"Did steak not use rice?" Ella tried to melt the atmosphere by asking even though awkwardness was still perched in her heart.

"The rice has been replaced with a piece of potato." Show me a piece of potato and then devour it.

"Sorry Ma. I don't know."

"Hm yeah, no problem. Em ... What's your favorite food?" Ask Nay kindly.

"Maybe all food is a cause..."

"I mean Mama when your late mother was alive." Nay fast. Doesn't want Ella to remember what Lena did to her.

"Burning mom is delicious. I haven't eaten it for a long time." That woman always gave me junk, stale food and...

Ella was aware of something. He used to remember when he often complained about the Mother's dishes that sometimes did not suit his taste. Ella often threw away food and said bad just because the dish was not appropriate.

It's like karma. The treatment Lena showed taught her something. She should have appreciated whatever the mother's cooking was. Instead of throwing away is not better given to someone in need like he used to be.

"Mama will make it tomorrow." Answer Nay without further ado.

"My taste is different. I love all food because cooking is so tired." Right said Father. Whatever befalls our lives there must be a silver lining. I'm sorry I was angry just because of the food.

"Calm down, honey. Mama likes to cook and does not feel tired if she lives with sincerity."

"This cheese is good too." Praise Ella while looking at Nay.

"Thank you. Can you cook?" Ella nodded slowly.

"Some menu only. Maybe too old."

"Oh my goodness, that's good. How about tomorrow night you cook for us." Replied Nay enthusiastically as well as Darrel and Kai who wanted to feel how Ella cooked.

"There's not much of Ma's menu. I can't cook modern food either."

"Ancient dishes are no less delicious. Full of seasoning and delicious flavor."

Now the conversation is warm. Nay is able to protect the conversation to the point of making Ella drown in it. Cheers slowly showed as when Ella with Darrel.

Miss Naysila was very nice. I must respect his decision and bury deeply my feelings for Darrel. She does not deserve me who is just a girl from the lower classes. Brother Darrel must get an equal girl also strong so that his descendants are qualified. It doesn't matter Darrel belongs to someone else. As long as we can stay close.

That's how Ella's thinking is trying to fight her interest in Darrel. He considers it only a momentary sense because Darrel is present when he needs the figure of a mature man. Moreover, Darrel's good looks exceed reasonable so that Ella responds to attraction only to the physical. Is Ella capable of fighting the powerful munitions that Nay will feed her?

Oh still haughty. Justjust look. Soon your feelings will be seen. Where may you refuse the crown prince. I'm sure you're Ella's strong girl, too. Not a spoiled girl who would complain just because of a kitchen knife incision.

Without Ella realizing Nay noticed some of the scars that had dried up all over the hands and feet. He deliberately gave a simple dress so that he could see how cruel Ella's life was.
