CHAPTER 57: The Truth about Dira

Arga and his mother are waiting in front of the ICU. Arga kept pacing back and forth in front of the door of the room where Dira was being examined anxiously waiting for the doctor to finish examining his wife.

Mama Rika did not say anything, she also felt worried about her daughter-in-law, not forgetting that she had also contacted her husband and her besi to come to the hospital.

Clamps!

The doctor came out of the ICU room, making Arga immediately closer to the doctor who handles Dira. "How's my wife doing Doc?" ask Arga directly.

"Yes my daughter-in-law is fine, right? Can I go in to see it?" ask Mama Rika who is also no less worried about Arga.

"Please Madam, you can already see your daughter-in-law, but you must remain calm not to disturb the patient" replied the doctor.

"Sorry, can you come with me to my room? I will explain there about the state of your wife," said the doctor invited Arga to his room to tell about the condition of Dira.

Arga nodded his head in agreement. "Ma I go with the doctor first, Mama can go in first and I tipped Dira," said Arga then he moved to follow the steps of the doctor to his room.

Just as Mama Rika was about to enter, Papa Arga arrived just arrived along with both of Dira's parents who had also arrived at the hospital.

Mama Dira immediately approached Rika's mother and asked her daughter's condition. "Mb what exactly happened? Why did Dira get into the hospital?" mama Dira asked with tears flowing down her cheeks. The shadow of her daughter's childhood illness kept spinning in her brain, adding to her fear and worry.

"I also do not know for sure about the condition of Dira at this time, because Arga is still talking to the doctor about the condition of our daughter, it's just that when I went to their house Dira was already in a state of fainting in Arga's sling," answered Mama Rika.

"Pa, how is this Mama scared .." cried mama Dira.

"Ma, calm down .. We just pray that Dira is okay," said papa Dira while holding his wife's shoulder to calm him.

"How can Mama calm down Pa? Our daughter is in there in a state of unconsciousness, what if the events of a few years ago recur? My mother couldn't afford pa ... Mama will never be able to lose Dira .." said Mama Dira in a soft voice.

"Mama should not think like that, maybe our daughter is just tired" said papa Dira while hugging his wife's body.

"We should pray that Dira is okay" said Mama Rika while stroking her iron shoulder.

"Let's go inside" said papa Arga.

They finally entered the room where Dira lay weakly with an impus hose in his hand and a monitor to monitor the activity of Dira's heart.

Ayu got closer to her daughter's bed, she stroked Dira's hair, and kissed her forehead. She hopes her daughter will be okay.

At the same time Arga entered with a face that looked chaotic while holding a paper containing Dira's examination report. Mama Rika who saw it approached her son.

"What's up, son? Why do you look like that? Your wife's okay, right?" ask mama Rika worried.

"Ma, Pa can we go out for a while," Arga told both her parents and her two in-laws.

"You why Ga? Don't make mama worry?" mama Rika asked as soon as she was outside Dira's treatment room.

"Why did Ga?" ask mama Rika back. " You must not make us more anxious Ga.." said Mama Rika while rubbing the shoulder of Arga who was crying in her arms.

"Dira's okay, isn't Ga?" asked her mother-in-law to come closer to Arga who was hugging her mother.

Arga still did not answer her in-laws' questions and gave the paper she had been holding to Dira's mother.

Ayu hesitantly picked up and opened the paper. "This is impossible–" said Mama Dira while reading the results of her daughter's examination. He closed his mouth, holding back the sound of crying so as not to come out.

"Arga replies, mama's daughter is fine right?! He's just exhausted right Ga?! This must not be true, right?" asked Mama Dira while pulling the back of Arga who was still hugging her mother. He wished that everything written there was just a mistake.

Papa Dira took the paper from his wife's hand and was shocked to read every word written on the sheet, as well as Arga's parents, they did not expect that his son-in-law had a heart disease that was quite alarming.

Arga hugged his mother's body tightly, while continuing to sob, he felt devastated when he found out the results of his wife's examination. He cursed himself how he could not know about Dira's disease, even the doctor said that Dira's condition was getting worse. He felt like a useless husband, all this time Dira had endured her own pain. He should have been more sensitive to Dira's condition since his wife began to behave strangely and often fainted.

"I should have found out about this earlier," Arga felt guilty.

"We must be ordinary in front of Dira, do not show your sadness to him too much, he will certainly be sad and feel guilty to us which will make him more depressed, he said, and it was not good for his recovery" papa Arga let out his voice.

"Right what Papa said you Ga, let's not show our sorrow to Dira, and we must be sure that Dira will be cured," said Dira as he rubbed his wife's shoulder.

"You have to be strong Ga, because the person Dira needs most right now is you" said papa Dira as he patted Arga on the back. There was a clear look of anxiety on her in-laws' faces, but she tried to stay strong.

After listening to the words of the two men who were highly respected, now that Arga already felt better than before, he should be stronger than Dira, he said, he must not give up his wife is a strong woman he can definitely get through all this.

"I don't think I'm that weak, he can definitely get through all this, and stay beside me to achieve happiness with our little family," Arga's inner self tried to convince her that Dira would be able to heal.

******

Arga sat beside Dira's bed, holding his wife's hand. Now Dira was in a bigger room, and luxurious so that his wife felt more comfortable while doing treatment in the hospital.

Arga continued to stare at the monitor screen, alternating with staring at the beautiful face of Dira who looked so comfortable closing her eyes.

Every time he looked at the screen that showed Dira's heartbeat, Arga felt his heart breaking, his chest felt like it was squeezed, wanted to feel like he was screaming and saying he wasn't okay, he could not bear to face all this, but he remembered all his papa's words, that he should be stronger than anyone.

"I will not give up, whatever I will do for your recovery, I will never let you leave my dear .." muttered Arga while kissing Dira's hand.
