PROLOGUES

Okanabe Village, is a remote region away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. It is difficult to find a modern civilization here. This place is completely untouched by modern health infrastructure. For example, when sick, Okanabe Village residents generally prefer to go to the village Physician/Shaman rather than trusting doctors or hospitals as a medium of healing.

The nearest hospital is at least 200 kilometers from the village, Even when the pain suffered by the residents is too severe, then most of the villagers prefer to lie in their beds until their death comes.

Gradually, Okanabe Village began to be abandoned by its residents. Only the old men decided to stay in the village because of their love of the land of birth.

"Hikasa, truth or dare?"

Koharu asked a question to a boy with blackish-gray hair who had been lying among a pile of fallen tree leaves.

"Dare.. What do you want me to do?”reply the boy in a lazy tone.

Hikasa turned his face to Koharu, presumably he did not really understand what game they were playing at that time. Although the game T or D is very popular, Hikasa honestly never played this game.

Akira Hikasa, in Okanabe Village Hikasa lives with his grandparents. His parents have been separated since the age of 4 years.

Before Koharu's arrival, Hikasa was the only child left in Okanabe Village. He did not have friends who were the same age as him, because the majority of the villagers were elderly and no longer productive.

In Okanabe Village, Hikasa did not receive any special education. This is because Okanabe Village does not have school buildings and educational support facilities. However, Hikasa was not blind to primary education. He learned many things from his grandparents who took care of him, such as how to read, write, and count.

That time...

Hikasa is about 6 years old. He has not been very understanding about the terms used by adults, especially about something they call 'Love'.

Someone a little older than him once said.

"Love is like a piece of gum stuck to a shoe, because no matter how far your foot goes, it will follow you."

Hikasa considered love to be chewing gum and other sweet foods.

"I choose Dare." replied Hikasa.

"What do you want me to do?"

Hikasa repeated the same question to Koharu again, but Koharu responded with a slow smile.

"Married." Koharu said spontaneously.

"In the future when you grow up, make Koharu his bride Hikasa.”

Koharu's eyes twinkled, as if to illustrate how serious her request was.

Hikasa became awkward when he saw the expressiveness of his face like that. He had no idea what marriage and bride meant, so he agreed to Koharu's request without any hesitation.

After all, the rules of the game T or D require that the player undertakes any desire from the requestor.

“What is marriage by the way? “tanya Hikasa with plain tone.

“Entahlah..” replied Koharu who is no less innocent.

Hikasa and Koharu have promised to get married when they grow up through a game of T or D, though they don't know the meaning of the promise they made.

3 months passed...

The persistence of Doctor Tsukiyama in fighting for health improvement for the residents of Okanabe Village invites sympathy from the world of health.

The hard work of Koharu's father is sweet, the Government turns serious attention to the high death rate in Okanabe Village due to the lack of health infrastructure in that place.

Later it is known, Koharu's father not only settled temporarily in Okanabe Village as a volunteer Doctor. He also conducted health research based on rural health residents, the result of which he used as a proposal aimed at the Government to meet the need for proper health infrastructure in Okanabe Village.

Doctor Tsukiyama is a very remarkable figure…

His presence in Okanabe Village has had such a huge impact for this lagging and almost forgotten village. Thanks to him, Okanabe Village now has its own hospital. Villagers can now enjoy decent health facilities without having to travel long distances.

After completing his duties in Okanabe Village, the Koharu family decided to return to his residence in the city. Koharu even left without saying goodbye to Hikasa, leaving with a promise he might forget one day.

Adults say the world of children is fun. Because they just play and play without the need to think of troublesome things like adults do.

It's just…

If a situation creates a sudden meeting, in the end there will be a sudden separation too, right?

If it is…

Perhaps only the game of T or D will always open up Hikasa's memory to Koharu, Because ever since Koharu decided to return to the city, Hikasa has really lost the only child who has always accompanied him to play.

Not much fun to remember,

There weren't many memories they could create together in such a short amount of time,

It all went by so fast and it just happened...

A few years later . . .
