CONSEQUENCES
I Can't Be Happy for You

Fina, is an 8-year-old little girl who lives with her mother, a 5-year-old little brother and a 9-year-old sister. Since the birth of his sister Zhani, the four of them have lived in a house without a room. Neither Mona (his sister), who he is, nor knowing who their father, Jhana, their mother said that their father had died since she conceived Zhani.

In the neighborhood they live in, it is not Jhana's hometown or the father of her children. Jhana does not close herself off from her neighbors, she simply does not have time to get along, and is often considered arrogant by her neighborhood. Not a single person in his residence knew about his past.

With her job as a waitress in a restaurant, Jhana is able to school Fina, this year, her youngest child is supposed to start school, but she does not yet have enough money to enroll Zhani to school.

Jhana goes to work in the morning and comes home in the evening, giving Mona a big responsibility to look after Fina and Zhani.

Today as usual, Jhana and 3 of her fellow servants work to deliver the food ordered by their customers to the table occupied by the customer. But, today the buyers are not as crowded as usual, so the workers in the restaurant also chat with each other. Jhana was close friends with Dina, who was the cashier at the restaurant, so she always chatted with Dina when they were both out of work.

Dina is a new worker, not even 2 weeks, but the girl gets the confidence to be a cashier, because she has a good work record.

"Sister Jhana," call Dina. "Hm?" jhana Sahut.

"Wednesday is our schedule for both holidays, well my fiancee's family invited me to dinner with them. They said that I asked my friend is okay, but not much, yes count just to replace my family in Pontianak."

"So?" ask Jhana.

"I'd like to take my sister, Mona, Fina and Zhani."

"Eh? No! No!" reject Jhana.

"Why? Want dong, yeah!"

"No, just invite the others, your college friends will be a lot, just take one of them, or invite one of the workers here."

"Yes my college friends are many, what else everyone knows my fiancee and they are all good friends with my fiance, but all my friends are college hours are many nights, many are, I'm the only one in college, so they can't" Dina explained.

"But I don't know your fiancee's family, and, after all, they tell you to come with your friends, not me and my children."

"Sister, that brother is my friend, one of my best friends, even though we only knew him two weeks ago, but, I feel that Jhana's sister is like my own sister, like my brother who protects me in Jogja, no problem with my sister's children, they are also my friends" said Dina.

"But Dina..."

"What else?"

"We don't have good clothes for such an event."

"Wear huh? Later let me buy it, besides I've met the children's brother, so I can estimate the size of the clothes of the children's sister."

"Dina, if you end up buying clothes for us, you'll just be troubled to take care of us, it's better not to."

"Sister Jhana, I never feel troubled when it comes to shopping."

Hearing Dina's reply, Jhana could only smile with a slightly surprised feeling of having been 'skakmat' by the girl who was 12 years younger than her. He gave up and accepted Dina's invitation. "Alright" he answered.

While it was like the usual days, when the peak of daylight arrived, Mona picked Fina up from school after she finished cleaning up the house while looking after Zhani. As usual day-hasi (again) he picked up his sister as if she was a mother, imitating the makeup of mothers by wearing lipstick, woof, mascara and powder. This time he styled his hair by imitating the Harry Styles hairstyle, which is to insert his right hair behind the ear and slightly pull out the left hair to the front of his shoulder. Mona wears nice clothes that were rated good for 2 years ago.

Mona was always the laughingstock of 1 school because of her makeup when picking up Fina. The school itself has repeatedly rebuked Jhana, but Mona is a cruel child, when Jhana warns her, she chooses to cheat, so that sometimes it makes Jhana cry without being able to yell at Mona loudly.

Fina is Jhana's only child in school. Jhana always praised him as a smart child, but Mona considered another, Mona said Fina's intelligence was obtained because of school.

Fina is usually escorted by Jhana when Jhana is going to work, and picked up by Mona who is accompanied by Zhani. Fina sometimes felt embarrassed by her brother who dressed up like a parent when he picked her up, because he also received the impact, Fina sometimes became a victim of bullying by her friends, they mocked her as a 'magic grandmother' child'.

"Fine!! Let's go home, baby!" mona held Zhani's hand.

Hearing that distinctive cry, all the remaining students were excited. They knew where the call came from and by whom, Mona was the center of attention as usual.

Fina did not reply, the little girl just ran towards her brother and sister. He immediately grabbed Mona's hand, the three of them went home hand in hand, and they have been doing it for the past 2-3 years.

"Fina, Mona, Zhani, wait a minute!" call a middle-aged man in glasses.

"Mr principal?" Fina knew what the omen were when her headmaster came to her.

"Let's go with the father to the father's room," the headmaster asked.

"Ehm, father, sorry yes, not that we do not want to, but you have too often called us to the father's room with the same end," said Mona with her distinctive style that ceplas-ceplos, just talk without thinking, but honestly.

While customer orders were crowded, Jhana got a call from Fina school, during Dina's work at the Popular restaurant, this was the third time Jhana got a call from the school.

"Yes, maybe it's still a problem, but I wonder why it's becoming more and more frequent, when in the last four months she's never been wearing my make-up, again," answer Jhana who then picked up the phone. "Hello?"

"Madam Jhana, this is the principal, I look forward to your current attendance at the school. Your son is still in the same trouble, madam."

"Okay, sir, I'll be right there."

"All right, thank you." The principal then turned off the connection.

"Dina, I'm so sorry to say it, but, I'm a moment's permission," Jhana said.

"It's okay, brother, no need to worry, they can handle your task for a moment."

"I'm going, yes" said Jhana as she opened her apron.

"Look at him, just go away, but this is not his time to rest, act as if this is his restaurant" said Wanda, one of the servants.

"It's not worth thinking about, Jhana is fair, at the time he breaks he will reduce the duration" said Yahya, who is also one of the servants.

"But he should have asked us for permission, not to Dina, because he did our duty" said Andra, Wanda's lover who also worked as a servant.

Dina immediately glanced at Andra, and Wanda approached him. "I'm clear again, yes. We all have our own hours of rest. We work here for fourteen hours, from seven in the morning to nine in the evening, with a two-hour break that has been arranged when. Your break time is two and a half hours to four in the afternoon, where you take the opportunity to go to college, as well as us, making the best use of time during each break. Jhana's been working here for four years, and she's the most senior here, but that doesn't mean she can act as she pleases and ask permission just from you. Next time you're self-aware, instead of you doing her job while she's gone, think to whom she should ask permission, ask her for permission from a fellow servant, don't you think because you're a rich man, you have the right to allow him, you rich man. Understand no?"

"Yes I understand," replied Dina who only lowered her head as Wanda continued to stare at him sharply.

Arriving at his son's school, Jhana immediately came to the headmaster's room. Seen his three children who were sitting in a relationship with the principal Fina. Jhana then knocked on the door before entering, then occupied one of the chairs.

"Madam Jhana, I no longer know what to say so that the Madam can forbid the Madam's child not to dress like this. Twenty times more I have warned the Madam. I understand that Mrs Jhana is a single parent, but something like this should work for you." The principal went straight to the point.

"I'm really sorry, sir. But, I think for the past four months Mona has stopped dressing like this, but I don't know why she's back on the hook."

"If this continues, the one affected by it is also Fina, she will be the victim of bullying even though I have already called the parents of the students who did the bullying to Fina."

"Okay sir, maybe starting tomorrow I should have picked Fina up."

"I think that's what the Madam should do to protect the Madam's children, moreover, this kind of make-up is not suitable for a child's skin."

"Okay sir, please excuse me and the kids." Soon Jhana brought her children home, and when she was at home, she came back to babble.

"You have ears, don't you?!" it's on Mona. "Why can't you say it?! Why do you always make me angry?! Why are you constantly wearing mom's make-up?! Answer!"

Mona was silent.

"Let's answer!" jhana's voice began to rise 1 octave, this right suddenly made all her children surprised because Jhana was never this angry.

"Mother is a bone slammer for your love to eat, trying to do what is best for you, mother educates you well, mother never taught the daughters of mothers to dress up as adults before their time," he continued, this time Jhana has begun to control her emotions.

Mona crying.

"So please tell mom, who taught you to make-up like this?"

Mona chooses not to answer, just as she usually does, she immediately covers herself with a blanket.

"Mona, I don't like it if you're always like this when you're scolding you. It's rude of you to ignore me like this."

"Mona!"

"Mona!!!" Jhana pulls the blanket worn by Mona, Jhana looks at her eldest daughter. "Mom's answer!"

Mona was crying, she couldn't bear to say everything. "I don't need anyone else's mercy, ma'am, I don't want people to look at me just out of pity, I don't want people to think 'the boy's love, I don't want people to think 'the boy's love, still a child has to do all the housework, look after and pick up his sister'.I don't want our economic difficulties to make other people demean us even more. So I dressed up like a grown woman, so that no one would think that I was a child bearing a great burden, so that no one would feel sorry for me anymore. Mother, I prefer people to laugh with my makeup, rather than people to feel sorry for a rundown child who bears a huge burden on his shoulders. So I was harsh on Fina and Zhani, I acted as if I were their mother, so that people would not look at me with pity, I tried to be like an adult for all that, and no one understood it, including my mother. If I still had a father, maybe things like now would never happen. Mother, I never envied the education Fina received, I never felt mother discriminate us, I never felt, I never felt that mother loved Fina more than me and Zhani. That's it, my reason."

"Never talk about your father again" said Jhana.

"I want to meet you, because maybe only you can understand how I feel! I know, you always think of us, somewhere I don't know, in the world or the hereafter." Mona went straight to the bathroom with tears.

"Mother." Fina hugged Jhana, followed by Zhani, and Jhana returned the warm embrace, not expecting that her eldest daughter was not convinced that her father had died.

'I think he remembered the times when Rashid came to us and brought him chocolate. Mona forgive mom, baby, until now, I haven't been able to make you happy, ' Inner Jhana. He immediately said goodbye to Fina and Zhani to return to work, because if he went too long, Wanda would definitely lecture him.
