Date a Live: The Inverse Spirit of Paradox
Chapter 4: The Side [1]

Ratatoskr was an organization created with the aim to eliminate [Spirit], the cause of the Dimensional Rift, by peaceful means without killing [Spirit].

Fraxinus, one of the five airships used by Ratatoskr. The Ratatoskr command center is located on the ship, making it a very important base for members of the organization. Normally, Fraxinus floated about 15 kilometers above the city of Tengu.

The Fraxinus team has a purpose. That is, saving the [Spirit] using a way that no normal person would think of.

That is through "sealing" [Spirit] with "dating" by restraining [Spirit] emotions. Let us add that this way, or rather Ratatoskr himself, was specifically made for one person who should have the ability to seal [Spirit].

Everything was going steady until the recent events that took place almost a month ago in the city of Tengu.

“Commander, our sensor captures [Spirit] waves again, it looks like this time the speed and intensity of the activity is stronger than the one recorded before!”

“Commander, some [Spirit] wave fluctuations have been detected from the suburbs! Our sensors found that these oscillations were generated from the same source at the same time!”

"Are there signs of a dimensional crack forming?"

"Not at this time"

“We have shown exactly the sign [Spirit]. He was again identified as Spirit [X]"

The voice of the report echoed within Fraxinus as the report was delivered orally at the command post.

"Kannazuki!"

The voice of the person called "commander" sounded beautiful, but at the same time heavy. The figure of a young girl in a crimson military uniform on her shoulder sat cross-legged, one of her fingers constantly tapping on the armrest.

Her hair was tied with two large black ribbons. She had a small body, beautiful looking eyes, and while eating lollipops.

His name was Kotori Itsuka, commander of the airship Fraxinus. She was 13 years old, but the expression on the girl's face was now an adult expression, experiencing stress and some difficulties in life.

"Yes, Commander Itsuka, it looks like the target has caused some kind of chaos again in the suburbs."

The tall man next to the captain's seat bowed slightly like a butler. She has wavy hair and a nose that doesn't look like a Japanese. This was a young man with an appearance that could appear in a BL novel.

His name was Kannazuki Kyohei, the second commander on the airship Fraxinus.

Kotori Itsuka, the commander of the plane, only silently listened to Kannazuki as she began to recall how everything went wrong at some point.

“It has been a week since the target started doing this..create chaos,” Kannazuki added with a tired expression.

“What's the problem! Didn't he know that if he continued like this, he would pull AST again?! And how do we seal it..” Kotori grumbled as she began to think of the anomaly that appeared a month ago.

[The Spirit of Man] for the first time in the history of mankind appeared recently, which is rather strange, because in the 30 years that have passed since the first dimensional crack, the, not a single [Male spirit] was listed.

[Spirit] had shown abilities like [Space Manipulation] that had been used many times, [Fly] which was an innate ability of [Spirit], [Barrier] is often shown by other [Spirit] in recent years as a means of protection, [Psychokinesis] also known as telekinesis, whose ability is to manipulate or move objects with the will of the mind, [Flame], who, as his name suggests, gave him the ability to manipulate fire, and the [Arsenal of Weapons], which consisted of his amethyst sword, spewed fire, and a flying blaster whose shot destroyed everything that came into contact with them.

Just by looking at this ability, this [Spirit] could be seen as a great threat to mankind, to the point that it would be forced to eliminate it. Until now, [The Spirit] has not shown any aggression or hostility towards people, unless they start to disturb it, such as AST.

[Spirit] this does not leave this area, this “region”, to be exact, is the city of Tengu. His behavior is strange, because [Spirit] usually travels from one place to another, if you follow what is shown in the record. In short, this [Spirit] has a special purpose in this city.

“... It seems impossible to seal this Spirit. Shido is not for men, maybe [Spirit] as well.” Kotori said confusedly.

"Commander, the AST members are quickly approaching [Spirit], should we watch it like last time?"

“Nn while we watch again. Reine is reviewing the data we collected during our observation of this [Spirit] and is now evaluating and analyzing its threat level and parameters, we will soon be able to get a clear picture of it.”

"Yes." Yeah." Kannazuki nodded with a stern expression, pondering whether this [Spirit] would become an enemy or not.

Then one of the doors opened in the command room. A woman then approached Kotori with the documents folded between her hands.

He was wearing what looked like a military uniform, and he was also about 20 years old. Her disheveled hair, her eyes adorned with thick dark circles, and her snout-looking scarred teddy bear somehow peeking out of the pocket of her military uniform are her trademark.

He's an analyst here at Fraxinus, Murasama Reine.

"Kotori," Reine said with obvious fatigue in her voice.

"Eh Reine, how are you? Finished analysis? Have you managed to find out about the origin of this [Spirit]? ”

“Nn. Here are the results based on the information I currently have, ” Reine said as she handed the document to Kotori.

Kotori then read the document with a stern expression. For some reason, he could not understand, or rather did not want to understand, whether what was written here was reality or not.

Looking directly at Reine, Kotori inevitably asked, “...Are you sure about this, Reine? Looks too weird, isn't that a problem with the Analyzer and AI system?”

Kotori did not doubt Reine, who she could refer to as her closest friend, she just wanted confirmation. Of course, Reine understood what he wanted to convey to Kotori and answered him calmly.

“That's what I first thought about, and I've tried to check if System has any problems in operation, but there seems to be no problem.” Reine replied as she yawned, which Kotori did not mind.

“This is ridiculous... Will we get again?”

"I don't know. But based on his observations, the probability of this happening is not too high to be considered possible, nor is it too low to be considered impossible.”

Reine then gives Kotori a flash drive. Kotori looked at Reine and asked, "Is this information different from the one in the document?"

"Yes. At the very least, it shows some data that is not included in the document, because the information provided here has some conjectures that, at the moment, do not have a final confirmation to be considered correct.”

"Yes".

Kotori then connects the USB to one of the cables in her chair. A second later, the information inside was displayed entirely on the monitor for any crew members in the room to see.

When the data inside was displayed, some members of Fraxinus gasped, while others widened their eyes in shock.

"What?.."

Kannazuki, who was standing beside Kotori, could only mutter and ask.

"How is it possible….!" Even Kotori, who was trying to stay calm the entire time, inevitably frowned when she saw this.
