After slightly looking at the sleeping faces of the two of them, I turned my gaze in the opposite direction. From behind my body, I then turned around and saw a group of soldiers coming here. The ground trembled slightly due to their clattering.

"I didn't think they'd come this fast... Eh? Wait for... Not that..."

I then looked back carefully. "Royal emblem?" It was a question that came to my mind. The soldiers wore armor complete with the royal symbol in the left chest armor.

"Eh!? Don't-don't.... City troops...."

I held back my words and kept looking at the soldier. A glimpse of my place. A Demon creature? which appear on the right and left sides near the forest.

"Devil creatures?"

I said asking myself. I don't know what they're planning. For sure I don't want my life to get involved in the troublesome thing that caused Zena and Meli to either come along or have to escape.

The soldier had seen from a distance the Tabernacle of the citizens, but they did not realize that these citizens were used as traps by demonic creatures.

"Oh!?"

The soldiers were pleased with what they saw in front of them. While the woman shed tears of pride for saving people's lives.

They did not know that demonic creatures would attack if they got close to the citizens. But it was unthinkable, they happily continued to step until they finally arrived.

They seemed happy because their journey was not in vain. But, on the other hand, the attacks have been waiting. They had arrived near the local camp and then had a little chat with some residents and provided food assistance from the government. The people were happy and accepted all the help.

"Thank you!!"

Said one of the residents. He became happy and then shared it with his entire family. Happiness hit to make the whole city happy.

"In this way, we will move to a more distant area. All of them! After this lunch you will come with us!"

Shouted the captain. They all nodded happily then immediately cooked up the help provided. But it was only a temporary pleasure. Everything had been planned by the army of demonic creatures.

Said one of the commanders of A's forces. As planned, they had split into 2 armies. A troops are in charge of scouting and ambushing, while B troops will prepare to help A troops.

Everything was ready in position and then the commander held out his hand with his palm facing forward.

The demonic beings watched him with focus then, his palm again lowered as a gesture to attack. The demonic creatures then nodded at each other and immediately ran from hiding.

"Yes!!!"

They ran by pointing their swords forward so that they could break through easily.

The captain of the kingdom immediately turned his head in panic at the sound of a very loud scream accompanied by the roar of steps that followed.

"Ap-o!? Everybody!! Prepare for assault!"

The captain shouted and raised his sword. But it was too late. The entire army on duty had been killed quickly and the invading army of demonic beasts had managed to break through.

The captain who saw the situation immediately headed for the battlefield but earlier he said to the female city warrior he healed.

"Take them all to far away places."

"But! How about–"

Before he could continue, the captain closed his eyes and shook his head.

"This is a direct order from the royal commander and my sheer selfishness. If I don't come back then, report to the king and include all of us who are suppressing these demonic creatures."

After saying all that he turned around fearlessly stepping forward then pulled his sword valiantly.

"At least let this be the end of my useless life."

The captain continued and smiled boldly. He threw away his fear and prepared to die. The woman wept, then sat down while lamenting the departure of the captain who then fought and defeated several demonic creatures with the soldiers.

"Everything!! The commander gave the order! Follow me wherever I go!!"

After straining his heart and wiping his eyes from the tears, he said. He did not want them to die in vain because of it.

I said from afar looking at their movements from the tree where Zena and Meli were asleep. I witnessed all these events, and the woman's words. Looks like he is a city warrior who survived huh...? I thought in my heart. But I quickly moved on from that.

"Curtain!! Shit!"

I immediately turned around and approached the sleeping Zena.

"Zena, Oi, get up. The demon army is back to attack."

I said while shaking his body.

"Hm...? Luke? What's up...?"

"Not the time, quickly prepare your sword, we'll be on our way."

"Eh? What's up?"

Zena was still in a semi-conscious state but she was trying to stand up.

"There's no time, I'll use my original magic."

"Eh?"

While already standing but still confused, I uttered [Storage]. Then the item disappeared and entered into the dimensional space.

"Okay, I'll hold Meli."

I immediately tied my two swords around my waist, then carried Meli on my back.

"!? i?!Luke, they're attacking from behind!"

Shaking my shoulder that just turned around.

"!? i?!Shit!"

I immediately carried Meli quickly and ran while holding Zena's hand in a hurry.

"Where are we going?"

While looking at me.

"We'll go into the company and ask for their help."

I said while running.

"Damn!! They're getting closer."

I continued after looking towards the army of demonic creatures.

"Hmj.. Papa's... Why is the wind blowing so hard? And again why so much foot noise?"

"Oh, don't look back okay?"

I said a little breathless. I didn't change my breathing mode at all...

"Why indeed..?"

"Ah, that..."

"We're being chased by an evil army, they're very creepy so don't look around, ok?"

Zena whose hand I was holding said it while running.

"Hm? Alright."

The obedient girl... I'm glad he didn't look... A lot of blood flowed from their faces and bodies.. What did they do before? did they not clean themselves first?

We then immediately approached towards the soldier.

"Excuse me! I have a new report! The army of demonic creatures has come from the opposite direction."

I said without thinking about my condition.

Said Meli in her childish tone.

The residents immediately panicked and whispered "What should we do?" "How's this...?" They became afraid of all that.

"Dam... They attack too quickly... No chance to run, huh...?"

The soldier bit his hand in frustration.

What decision? I thought frantically and looked at the confused Zena. What do we do if we have to fight? Can I protect my family? Or do I have to sacrifice my life? A few questions came out of my mind. A few questions scared me of it and made my hands tremble.
