After recovering from illness, Hastungkara wanted to return to the city immediately to tell Zain's good intentions to his parents. But before returning to the city, he wanted to see Deranaโsof his friend.
To keep Farel and Ratri out of the way, Derana asks Hastungkara to meet her in the rice fields - places they used to relax and chat.
Hastungkara also agreed to the request of his best friend. He rushed to swing his legs towards the rice field which was not far from the grandfather's house.
"Rana-" Hastungkara shouted and ran over to his best friend.
Derana's attention was immediately diverted when he heard Hastungkara's voice. Then he rotates the body and welcomes the arrival of his friend by stretching out his hands.
"Rara--" Derana also shouted.
"Ran, I miss," he said.
The pair of friends then hugged each other while shedding longing because it had been more than two weeks not met.
"I miss Ra too" whispered Derana, hugging.
After shedding longing, the two slowly broke down the embrace and threw smiles at each other.
The look on Hastungkara's face turned sad when his net look was fixed on Derana's very pale face and her body was very thin.
"Ran, why is your body getting thinner and your face so pale? Is he acting again?" without taking a blind look.
Derana replied with a nod without making a sound because her tongue seemed reluctant to say a word especially if you have to mention the name Farel-husband who had the heart to make his world destroyed.
Two days ago, Farel arrived at the village of Widows. Instead of apologizing to Derana and her parents, she spread slander.
The human form of the devil told all the villagers of Widow that Derana stopped or fled because she did not want to settle in the residence of Atmajaya without revealing the real reason. He also said that during the household, Derana was never willing to serve so until now they have not been given offspring.
Almost all villagers believed Farel's words, especially Ratri. So that they are increasingly convinced, that Derana is a very disobedient wife.
Derana was very sad and sad because the neighbors blamed her and did not want to hear the words she said to defend herself.
โRan, let's have a chat while sitting on that hut!โ said Hastungkara broke the silence while pointing at the gubug that was not far from where they stood.
โHeem, Ra.โ Derana nodded and commented a smile. Then the two Eve took their steps towards the object in question.
After landing the weight of the body and scooping the air deeply, Hastungkara again opened his voice while joking to paint a smile on his best friend's face. "Ran, if you miss me, call my name three times and stomp your feet! Then, I will appear before you.โ
Hastungkara successfully tickled the sense of hearing, so that Derana pulled both corners of her lips and changed to throw jokes. "Sir, I will not call your name and stomp my feet. But, I will burn the candle while sitting cross-legged. I'm sure you'll be in front of me with some red banknotes."
"Ran โโ
โYa - -"
โSave this bagbih! Expand the recitation of dhikr and sholawat! Don't forget, practice the obligatory worship that is five times plus the sunah prayer in one third of the night! Insha Allah, you will soon be released from the snares of the demons," said Hastungkara while handing a bagbih made of typical Borneo stone.
Derana received the prayer beads with a smile painted on her face. "Thank you Ra," he said softly as he held back the feeling of being present and tightened his chest.
"Yes Ran. Don't be sad! God willing, after marrying ustadz Zain, I will go home and settle down in this village."
Derana nodded then hugged her best friend's body.
Hastungkara's hand that was originally dangling, extended upwards to return Derana's embrace.
The pair of friends hugged each other accompanied by sobs that could not be muffled.
Even though distance will separate us. But we never feel far away. Friendship is not measured by distance, but by heart.
Before dusk greeted, Derana and Hastungkara parted ways. Derana went home to her parents. Hastungkara returned to his grandfather's house.
Upon arrival in the courtyard of the house, Derana is greeted by Farel. The mature brown-skinned man folded his hands in front of his chest and cast a sharp gaze towards Derana.
"A man's wife will never obey her husband's orders. He bounced without saying goodbye and acted as he pleased." Farel blurted out a sarcasm sentence and pulled the corner of his lips.
Derana is indifferent. She walked past Farel without caring about her husband.
Feeling unconcerned, Farel grabbed and pulled Derana's arm until the two were now facing each other.
"How dare you ignore your husband!" fill it with emphasis.
Derana smiled smirk and flicked her arm so that it slipped out of Farel's grip. Without fear, Derana looked at Farel's bead and replied to her husband. "Suami said? The man who deserves to be called a husband is a man who always gives his shoulders to lean and treat the woman married like a wife is not a slave."
"You-"
"Excuse me dear Mr. Farel, I am not in the mood to argue. I'm weary. I want to rest" he said, bringing his body past Farel.
Farel looked angry. But the next minute, the demon-hearted man published a smile and monologued, "this time, I let you win. But just look at tomorrow. I'll take you to a faraway place and throw you away. You're gonna be a vagabond and you're not gonna be able to come back to this house again."
