Don'T Call Me Pigy

Don'T Call Me Pigy
Chapter 5

Shopia was blown away in her large room. Unlike before when they had to live in a small, narrow contract. Roll over on a large bed, staring at the ceiling of the room in a soothing pastel nuance.

He sighed, recalling the incident yesterday where he challenged Alisa in the beauty competition this year. An event that Shopia greatly avoided because he realized he did not deserve to be on the stage.

"Do I have to tell Grandma, huh? Asking his advice to change my ugly self" Shopia murmured, biting on his fidgety lips.

Only Grandma is the only hope that can help her change herself. Mammy? He wouldn't like it if Shopia ate just a little.

He said, "We people don't have it if you look skinny then people will make fun of you even more because I can't feed you."

Again Shopia's breath was blown away, remembering his old life. By eating, he can vent all the emotions inside him. Expose anger that cannot be spilled because of helplessness.

"Shopia!"

The sound of the call along with the knocking of the door distracts Shopia from the competition she is thinking about.

"Yes, Mom!" Shopia got up and sat down on the edge of the bed. It feels lazy to go out let alone have to go to campus where he will only get bulian.

"Breakfast, baby. It's noon, don't you go to college?"

The door opened, an unpretentious female figure entered with a smile. Approaching Shopia who looked lethargic that morning. The scenery is often seen, Shopia is still the same as before.

"Why, baby? Any more problems?" Mother rubbed the head of Shopia, her lips still smiling sweetly as a channeler of spirit for the child.

Shopia shook her head, looking at the mother with sadness. He never told this woman the problem.

"Then, why did you look so moody this morning? Tell Mom, we'll find a solution together," Mother asked to hold Shopia's hand warmly.

The lush-bodied girl sighed, looking down for a while. Think of the right reason to answer the mother's question. Eli?

"Eli, Mum. Shopia's only friend she hasn't been to class in days. Shopia is feeling anxious" Shopia says. Of course, to be honest, he was worried about his friend.

"Have you contacted him? Or maybe come to his house?" ask the mother.

"Shopi had contacted him, but he didn't answer anything. Her house? Shopia doesn't know, Mom. He said he'd moved out."

Mother nodded, understanding the problems the child was facing. He gently patted the surface of Shopia's hand while thinking what could comfort her.

"Yes, now you're ready. I don't know why I'm sure Eli will come to school today. Grandma was waiting in the dining room" said the mother, smiling as Shopia turned her head.

The girl's heart always believed in what her mother felt. He smiled and nodded. Get up to the closet to choose the clothes to wear.

Shopia walked gontai in the hallway of the campus with her head bowed staring at the two legs which alternated forward and backward. His breathing sounded heavy, as if there was no passion for going to study.

Just as he raised his face, the figure he was waiting for stepped gontai down the stairs. Shopia sparkled, her smile grew perfectly. Eli walked down, not paying attention around.

"Eli!" shopia shouted while running. His body was slow-moving although he felt he had run quite fast.

Eli raised his face, forcing his lips to smile. He was relieved that Shopia was fine without him these few days. The two friends hugged each other, sharing a sense of longing.

Eli confirmed Shopia's hair, looking at her friend's other-looking face. His forehead frowned, looking for what was different from the figure of the fertile girl.

"You look different, but what's different?" eli muttered with a narrowed look still looking around for something different.

It felt like telling Eli who and how he was right now. However, Shopia chose to keep it a secret. It wasn't time for him to talk about meeting his grandmother.

"Nothing is different. Come on, tell me why didn't you come to college for a few days?" Shopia pulls Eli's hand to sit on a bench.

Waiting for the friend to tell me about the reason for not coming to campus. Eli sighed, staring at the students around the place.

"It looks like I'll never be able to come back to campus again, Shopia." He looked up, smiling bitterly because of his bad condition.

"Don't joke! You can't leave campus. You know you're the only one who wants to be friends with me, Eli. If you don't exist, I'll be alone here" Shopia said, surprised to hear Eli's statement.

He could have imagined what life would be like on campus if Eli wasn't around. Alisa and her friends will increasingly harass Shopia because there is no one to defend.

"I got kicked out, Shopi. I can't afford to pay the arrears. So, I'm gonna quit college and find a job just helping my parents. You can't be a weak girl" Eli said, increasingly making Shopia's heart shake.

He was not willing to be the only friend in the school to leave him. Shopia clasped Eli's hand, thinking inwardly of asking the grandmother for help.

"Don't stop. I'll help you pay the arrears, you take it easy. Please, don't leave me, Eli. Tomorrow I'll pay off your arrears, I promise!" shopia really meant it.

Eli laughed bitterly, he knew very well what Shopia's life was like. Just like her, to eat just so was difficult.

"Don't bother yourself, Shopia, let alone your mother. I'm fine, you have to stay here for your sake. Don't think about me!" Eli was filled with Shopia's earnestness. He just doesn't know what Shopia's life is like right now.

"No! We have the same goal. I'm not gonna let you go. You have to stay here, we pursue our ideals. I promise you, tomorrow you can go back to college. Don't think about the cost, I'll help you."

Shopia smiled reassuringly to Eli, but even though he looked earnest still Eli could not bear to see him having to bother looking for money.

"But-"

Prok-prok-prok!

An echoing clap of hands stopped their conversation. The figure of Alisa appeared with her two friends while smilingly sneering. They heard the conversation between the two friends about sharing their hardships.

"Great! Your friendship deserves a thumbs up. One was a pest, one was a hammers. Don't dream too high, Shopia. I'm afraid when you fall for a fact, it's gonna hurt a lot."

Alisa smiled, sneering at Shopia blatantly.

"In addition to being poor, you also seem to like fantasizing. Let alone pay the arrears, to eat only your mother must squeeze sweat desperately."

They laughed out loud, satisfied to see Shopia unable to refute their every utterance.

"They're right, Shopia. Don't trouble yourself just because of me." Eli was downcast, well aware of the situation they were facing.

"No, Eli. I'll prove if I can help you. I'm not lying, trust me!" Shopia clasped Eli's hand, convincing him to trust her.

"That's it. No one's gonna believe you, Pigy!" Their laughter again bubbled, filling the deserted passageway. Shopia was down, she realized that even if she told them about herself, no one would believe her.
