Don't Take My Son...!!!

Don't Take My Son...!!!
Chapter - 21 Abel is Not My Son.

Now Sabrina and Dara are in the Rooftop Company building, sitting on a long bench with their own thoughts.

"I can talk to you, Na." Dara breathes fresh air even though it is not as fresh as the air in the countryside because of too much pollution.

"I'm listening but don't stay 10 minutes away from work."

Dara stood up from the long chair walking towards the guardrail leaning her front body towards the fence and gazing at her other tall building across the building.

"Abel is not my son" he said, but was heard by Sabrina.

"What do you mean, Ra?" Sabrina still doesn't understand.

"Well my older sister's daughter who died giving birth to Abel, I took care of Abel since the baby. Alan and Dimas are always there for me. They're like my family, there's nothing between me and Alan."

Sabrina was flabbergasted in disbelief, she stood up and walked up to the friend pulling Dara's arm to face him. "Why are you new to this story, we already know from our lecture Ra and became friends because it was reunited at work. Although not during your friendship with Alan, but I'm still your best friend."

"I'm sorry, I just don't want Abel's real identity revealed. Abel's biological father's family is an influential figure in the city, Na. I don't want to lose Abel, because over time I realize that a person who has no influence like me can't win against a powerful person. Are you disappointed in me because I wasn't honest with you?"

"Oh my goodness, Ra. I know your struggles in college with Abel as a baby, that's what makes me want to be friends with you. At that time I thought, crazy yes in this era there are women who bring baby children to campus and not be embarrassed in the slightest. Your mentality is very strong, I'm more curious when Alan and Dimas love Abel so much and always take turns parenting Abel on campus. It was that caring that made Alan fall in love, he was the perfect man in my eyes. A man who is loyal to friendship and loving. I remember when you reprimanded Lecturer because Abel was crying in the room, Alan and Dimas came forward to defend you by asking for HAM. By then all the students in the room were finally supporting you. I was moved and cried like I was the one babysitting while studying. I was a spoiled child of a well-rounded family but felt always lacking in affection because my parents were always busy working. Seeing you who is not spoiled and always strong I am motivated by you to become an independent woman. Now hearing the truth, I'm even more proud of you. Here hug," Sabrina hugged her best friend's body with wet eyes. "No, I cry when I remember your life story."

Sabrina let go of her embrace, "I'm still angry, you should have included me in any matter. So, tell me why you said Alan was your ex-husband, and Mr. Deris can figure it out."

"Deris was my ex-boyfriend before my brother died..."

"So?"

"Deris is the younger brother of Abel's biological father, he's from that family. So I said I was married to Alan but divorced so Deris wouldn't know Abel wasn't my son."

"What?! OMG...!!" Sabrina patted her own head, it turned out that the problem was not as simple as it seemed. "Geez!"

Dara smiled bitterly, "Andai Deris is not from that family and the younger brother of the man who hurt my brother. Maybe I won't be too hard to deal with it. I'm just afraid Abel was forcibly taken, because I couldn't adopt Abel. I am not married and have not been able to apply for adoption, my position is very weak in the eyes of the law. That was my fear all along. Dimas once suggested to marry me only to legally adopt Abel, I rejected raw - raw that crazy idea. Even though we were just pretending to get married to get adoption rights, I didn't want to frame Dimas. However Dimas was the son of a family who might have hoped for him a lot."

Sabrina stroked Dara's hair, what a pity for the fate of her best friend.

Not far from there, someone leaned against the wall of the building to avoid being seen while eavesdropping on every conversation from the two.
