32. Flashbacks

The next morning Alfaro, Jefrie, Keyla and Crystal were having breakfast as usual, after which Jefrie and Keyla left for school. While Alfaro, the man was moaning because his eyes were not healed yet when it was not too painful.

“It's okay, some days will definitely heal and will not imprint if brother gives the medicine, ” Crystal said.

“Are you not in school? Stay home until when? ” Tanya Alfaro diverts the conversation.

“Sure I'll go to school. I'll start after this week is over. ” Speak Crystal while staring at the clean plate he just washed.

“Then are you not going home? ” Ask again Alfaro makes Crystal pause from his activities.

“Why? Brother want to stay here quietly without me? ” Tanya Crystal with her wry smile. Alfaro was not offended by Crystal's words because he knew the girl had switched the conversation because she was so unwilling to talk about it.

“You know that's not what I meant. Even if you go back to your home, we who are here will also return to where we came from. ” Obviously Alfaro while helping Crystal after approaching him.

“Why? ” Ask Crystal.

“Because I don't want to take what belongs to someone else. ” Alfaro looked at Crystal meaningfully, but Crystal did not notice it.

“Then stay here if I'm gone, brother. Help me to take care of this house. ” Crystal looked at Alfaro as well meaningfully.

“I've already considered you my family. Since being with you guys, the lonely feeling I used to feel, I can just forget about it. ”Take Crystal.

“I won't make things difficult for you, and will leave before that person finds me. So help me to take care of this house. ” Crystal smile after finished washing dishes and head to the TV room to watch television.

“I have to be paid to do that. You know, whatever I do is not free. ” Alfaro said as he followed Crystal. The man does not work and chooses to stay home and help Crystal.

Not much work is done. But he still chose to stay because it felt bad to continue to trouble the girl.

Flashbacks.

Meeting Jefrie at the convenience store is a bit of a surprise for Crystal who is on the run from a blind date meeting that she considers crazy..

“What are you doing and what are you wearing? ” Ask Jefrie after seeing Crystal's slightly different clothing style.

“What do you mean, please check the price?! ” Flick Crystal rush.

Jefrie did what Crystal said because it was her job.

“It's expired! ” Jefrie said after scanning one of Crystal's overdue meals.

“Because of that, why do you keep displaying it on the food shelf when it expires? ” Ask Crystal with a tinge.

“It's not my job. ” Reply Jefrie with ketus. “Then.. Who's in charge? ” Ask Crystal again nervously.

“There's a warehouse, can I call you? Excuse me, that's in the gud... ” Jefrie's mouth is held captive by Crystal's hand so that he cannot continue his call.

“What are you doing? ” Ask Jefrie after removing Crystal's hand from her mouth

“That's..as a schoolmate, will you help me. I will buy this food at half price, ”Ucap Crystal with sparkling eyes.

And it made Jefrie smile as it was thought to be a very funny attitude change that arrived from Crystal.

“Please wait here. ” Jefrie said and left Crystal in front of the cashier himself.

Jefrie took some food and went back to the cashier and paid for it.

“Sorry but this is all I can give you, I already paid for it so you don't have to spend the money. ” Said Jefrie while giving the food he took earlier.

“Not this I mean, I can pay for it. How much? ” Ask Crystal who feels a little offended.

“Hah.” Jefrie chuckled. “ Then, just think of it as a gift from your schoolmate. ” Said Jefrie smiling.

“Gift? Thank you then. ” Crystal said and then opened and ate the food given by Jefrie without a fight again. The girl seemed to like the thing called a gift.

After a while, Jefrie's phone on the cashier's desk rang.

Jefrie received the call. “Do me a favor, quick! ” The panic sound from the phone speakers made Jefrie a little worried. The caller told me his address and Jefrie came straight out of the store.

Stopping some vehicles but nothing stops making Jefrie even more worried.

However, Crystal's helping hand made one of the taxis stop. “I'll come along. ” Crystal said but ignored by Jefrie.

When Jefrie enters, Crystal also enters the taxi he stopped. In haste Jefrie said the address she was aiming at.

“What's up? Is there an urgent problem? ” Tanya Crystal was curious and ignored again by Jefrie who was busy calling back the caller.

After arriving, the address addressed by Jefrie is the Police Station. Jefrie hurriedly went inside and saw her sister being scolded by some parents.

“What happened? ”Ask Jefrie with her cold tone but her warm gaze directed towards her sister.

“Kak! ” Keyla quickly hugged Jefrie while sobbing.

“I'm the Start here, So what happened? Why is my brother in a police station like this? ” Ask Jefrie with her voice that is made to sound polite.

“Your sister has beaten my daughter, how did your parents teach your sister? How could he be such a creepy kid?” Roughly the middle-aged woman insulted Keyla.

Jefrie looked around the room and saw some girls who were grimacing in pain.

“Do you do it? ” Jefrie asked with her serious gaze facing Keyla.

“Not Brother, I didn't do it. ” Keyla denies Jefrie's question.

“Look, this girl doesn't even want to admit it. Hey, kiddo. You know, when my daughter opened her eyes all she saw was you! Don't dodge and tell the truth. ” Said the same middle-aged woman, who had insulted him earlier.

“I didn't do it. Please trust me aunt, ” said Keyla with her slightly elevated tone.

“Hah, you impolite girl. Do you raise your voice to me! ” Touch the Woman. “Enough! ” Jefrie who was fed up with the middle-aged woman's chattering, started jerking in the room and kept everyone quiet.

“Then what do you want? ” Ask Jefrie politely. “Repair! You'll have to pay my daughter's hospital fees until her skin comes back clean. ” Say the Woman.

From her clothes, the middle-aged woman looked rich and well-established. But from his attitude, Crystal who had been watching the debate let out a small laugh at the attitude of the middle-aged woman.

“If not. Then your brother will be thrown behind juvenile bars. ” Imbuh Middle-aged women.

“ Steam.... ” Alfaro questions cut off due to the sudden appearance of someone.

“Aibi, follow me for a moment huh. ” Invite Crystal who suddenly appears and attract the middle-aged woman.

“What-what-you... ”

“Follow me for a moment.... ” Say Crystal with an indescribable smile.

It was as if hypnotized the woman obediently followed Crystal.

Jefrie, who saw Crystal's behavior, knitted her eyebrows in confusion.

“You what is he?” Jefrie wondered in her mind.

After a while, something strange happened. The middle-aged woman returned with a smile and then withdrew her reports and demands, not forgetting to apologize to Jefrie and Keyla.

After leaving the police station, Keyla recounted the incident. The Junior High girl also had no idea what was going on. He only saw a few girls crying in the garbage dump at his school.

Suddenly, some of the girls accuse Keyla of being the culprit. And it all ended up at the police station.

“Lal how did you convince that aunt, Crystal ? ” Ask Jefrie who turned on Crystal.

Well, it doesn't make sense that if Crystal did give the woman money, it wouldn't be that easy either the middle-aged woman would apologize and then just walk away, that's what Jefrie thought..

“There was one other kid approaching me. Looks like Keyla's friend. He gave me a video of proof that it wasn't your sister's behavior. It seems like that guy does bully the girls often and make Keyla as his scapegoat,” Crystal explained. “I showed the video to the aunt, and I didn't forget I was a little inciting her to let go of Keyla.” Her impression makes Jefrie hesitant to believe her.

“You sure? ” Ask Jefrie Doubt. “ Yes. Why do I lie, ” Crystal said.

“Thanks if that's true. Keyla, let's go home.” Jefrie dragged her sister away. However, it was held down by Crystal.

“What else? ” Ask Jefrie.

“Can I stay at your place? I have no destination. ” Say Crystal with eyes full of application.

“ May be, and this is my gratitude. But, is that okay? My house looks like it's going to disgust you a little. ”

Arriving at Jefrie's house. Crystal doesn't mind sleeping on the floor. However, just got off his eye taxi in a treat with some insults from the owner of the house that lead to Alfaro.

“If this month you do not pay for it then tomorrow pack your goods and get out of here. ” Speak to the landlord rudely and leave just like that.

Alfaro looked confused at that moment and ruffled his hair as a form of his regret.

“Are you Alfaro's brother? ” Ask Crystal after being inside Alfaro's house and sitting opposite each other.

“Ya,” Reply Alfaro briefly.

“If you don't mind, I'd like to ask for a tire... ”

“I don't want to help anyone, and for what I have to do, my life is already hard” Sela Alfaro before Crystal finishes speaking.

“No! I think my brother should do it! ” Speak Crystal with her serious tone and make Alfaro link his eyebrows

“Because only brother, the only adult here. Brother has to find a home for the four of us to live in. ”

And that's how they ended up living together. Alfaro felt, Crystal had helped him a lot and certainly felt a big debt to Crystal.
