Arin is a woman who was born in a small village located on the outskirts of a dense forest. She grew up with her loving parents, Elinor and Roderick, and her brother, Aiden, in peace and happiness. Their village lives in a rare peace, away from the wars and battles that often haunt the surrounding kingdoms.
Since childhood, Arin and Aiden have always viewed their parents as perfect examples. Elinor was a skilled healer who was highly respected by the entire village. He teaches Arin and Aiden everything there is to know about medicinal plants, healing potions, and how to care for the sick. Roderick, on the other hand, was a master swordsman. He taught Arin and Aiden the art of swordsmanship and inspired him to become a knight.
However, a dark past comes after this small family when a group of villains known as the "Black Claimans" invade their village. On that terrible night, Arin, who was very young, was awakened by the rumbling and screaming sounds of people. He crept out of his bed and slipped towards the voice.
What he witnessed forever would be etched into his memory. His parents, Elinor and Roderick, stand tall in the middle of the village, fighting an even larger army of criminals. Roderick's sword shone brightly under the full moon, while Elinor tried to heal those wounded among the commotion. However, despite their efforts, Black Claiman was too powerful.
Arin wants to protect his parents, but suddenly his hand is pulled by someone. He is Aiden, his brother.Aiden pulled Arin to hide so as not to be caught by Black Claiman.
Arin and Aiden watched in horror as his parents were killed before their eyes. They felt his deep loss and burning anger. Then, his uncle who had long disappeared from the village appeared. His name is Rowan, a man who Arin and Aiden have only heard in family stories.
Rowan came carrying a sword that shone with magical power. With that sword, he managed to expel Black Klaiman from the village.
After seeing the shadow of the past when his parents were killed, Arin's body was then pulled somewhere. There he saw his 14-year-old self playing behind his house,he was an energetic teenager and was always curious about various things in this world. However, today would be a very special day for him, as his uncle would teach him martial arts and swordsmanship, he was very excited to learn from his uncle.
"Good morning, Arin!" greet Rowan while waving her hand.
Arin jumped up in excitement. "Good morning, Uncle Rowan! I'm so happy to see you."
Rowan stroked Arin's head gently. "I'm also very happy to see you, son. How are you ready to learn martial arts and swordsmanship with me?."
Arin nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, Uncle! I want to be strong like Uncle Rowan."
Rowan smiled proudly. "All right, we start today. First, we will start with the basics of martial arts. Remember, true power comes not only from your body, but also from your mind and heart."
"I also want to train with you, Uncle. You don't want to teach me either? Is it now just Arin your niece?," Aiden came out of the house with a sullen face that looked so adorable.
Uncle Rowan laughed at Aiden's behavior and invited him to practice martial arts and swordsmanship with him.Aiden nodded with vigor.
They begin practicing in the backyard, with Rowan teaching Arin and Aiden basic movements and breathing techniques. For hours, they work hard, and Arin diligently tries to imitate every move his uncle teaches.
As the sun began to sink, Rowan paused for a moment and said, "Now, let's learn the sword. A sword is a weapon that requires balance, precision, and prudence. I'll teach you the basic techniques."
Arin and Aiden's eyes sparkled. They took out the sword that his uncle had prepared and they began to practice. Rowan patiently guided his two nephews, teaching how to hold the sword properly and move elegantly.
For months, Arin and Aiden continued to train diligently under the guidance of Uncle Rowan. They not only became teachers and students, but also became close friends. The two brothers began to feel a change in themselves, both physically and mentally.
Arin's body was pulled back to the place where she saw her brother was fighting a masked creature, the mask was exactly the same as the mask his brother wore when going to block him with his friends to the Shadow Labyrinth.
The masked creatures circled Aiden in agile and graceful movements. Their bodies were covered in mysterious black coats, and their faces were hidden behind dark masks, so Aiden could not see their expressions. But he sensed the evil emanating from their aura.
With a sword in his hand, Aiden began to attack. He leaped forward agilely, trying to attack the masked creatures one by one. However, the creatures were more experienced and had terrifying magical powers. They easily dodged Aiden's attacks and countered him with a deadly counterattack.
Aiden's breathing grew increasingly hunting, and sweat poured down his face. He can't give up now. His uncle, Rowan, and his village are in danger. They were the people Aiden loved the most in this world, and he wouldn't let them get hurt by these creatures.
However, even though Aiden struggled with all his might, he was finally pushed into a corner. The masked creatures surrounded him, covering every exit. One of them, who seemed to be the leader, stepped forward. His voice echoed like thunder in the dark night.
"You almost comforted us, son of man," said the masked creature in a cold and sharp voice. "But now, we have an offer for you."
Aiden looked at the creature with caution. "What do you want?"
The masked creature smiled, though it could not be seen behind its mask. "We want you to block King Aldrick's emissary from heading for the shadowy labyrinth. They're looking for life's light artifacts, and we don't want them to succeed. "
Aiden was confused. "Why should I help you?"
The masked creature replied firmly, "We have hostages. Your mom, Rowan, and the village. If you don't want to help us, they'll suffer the consequences."
Aiden felt his heart pound hard. He has no choice. He had to obstruct the heroes who were going to the shadowy labyrinth, even though he did not know what was really there.
"Alright," Aiden said with a trembling voice. "I'll do it." He believes Arin and his friends can defeat him.
The masked creature smiled with satisfaction. "Wise choice, son of man. We'll give you a clue as to what you should do. Never turn away from this task, or the consequences will be very bad."
With a heavy heart, Aiden accepted the instructions.
Instantly the place turns into a dense forest, Arin looks around him. This is a forest where he and a mysterious masked creature who turns out his brother are blocking the path of the heroes to the Shadow Labyrinth.
Arin sees a fight that makes him feel deep pain again. In the fight that his brother was killed.Arin can hear Aiden behind his mask while fighting Drako and Dharon.
"How could I have killed my own brother" Aiden once looked at Arin fighting other masked creatures.
"I'm sorry brother, there's no other choice, it's better for brother to die than to have to kill you and let that dark alliance kill the uncle and the people in the village," said Aiden inwardly as he looked at Arin's brown eyes that let out tears.
Unconsciously Arin came back crying and everything ended dark, he could not see anything only the darkness that existed.
