CHAPTER 33. SORRY (TAMAT)

Mr. Indra then approached Resti and looked at him sharply, "Now do you know who your ex-husband is? So do not be too trivial with her husband who is silent and always gives up."

"I know, all this time how you've treated my son, so I've been supportive of him looking for another daughter-in-law for me."

Resti did not want to lose, then he chimed in on the words of his former father-in-law.

"Hahaha.. aren't you ashamed of getting a prostitute's son-in-law? Wanna put where your face is if colleagues find out Mr. Indra's son-in-law, the number 1 owner of the city's company is just a whore!"

"Be quiet, I'm more proud of jasmine than you are to enslave my son and cheat on him. You're more than a whore."

"You who have never appreciated your husband and played with fire behind your husband are no better than Melati."

"Lay only the victim of in-laws like that woman. A woman who never appreciates a son-in-law and uses and sells a son-in-law for her own luxury!" said Mr. Indra while pointing towards the former in-laws of Melati.

"You are indeed suitable and the same will be languishing in a holding cell until it rots!"

Hearing the threat, Resti shuddered in horror, he did not know what to do to get out of the law.

The mother did not come to his trial this time to make Resti feel down and desperate.

Agam approached Indra, and he said, "Pa, let's sit down. The trial will begin soon, free to talk to him. His heart was blind and he would never realize all his mistakes."

Mr. Indra also complied, then followed the steps of Agam to the seat that had been prepared.

Resti who felt fear, put aside his shame. He ran after Agam, then hugged his feet while begging to forgive him.

Agam actually could not bear because as bad as any attitude Resti, he had become his life friend almost 7 years of marriage.

But when he looked at Bayu and Melati, his hands clenched back. If only the male Resti would have been Agam to beat up.

Melati approaches Agam and he asks Agam to forgive Resti but Agam shakes his head, he has to teach her a lesson so that Melati is not arbitrarily against others.

Agam let go of Resti's hold on his feet, and he invited Melati and Bayu to sit with the Papa.

The trial began, all witnesses gave incriminating testimony for both.

One of them is Bayu's nanny.

The decision was read and the two were sentenced to different terms.

Melati's former in-laws were sentenced for molesting Bayu and her nanny and for selling her as a prostitute.

Not only that, Mr. Indra also added with his crimes in the past that had extorted his parents' money, namely Agam's grandfather.

Mr. Indra apparently still keeps the evidence that he put in a file cabinet in his office.

During the trial he asked the secretary to bring him to the courtroom.

Melati was sentenced to 5 years in prison. That was enough to teach him a lesson.

Melati cried, now her regrets are useless. Agam no longer cares about himself. Agam's love for him is dead.

When the police brought Melati, Agam could only sigh and she prayed, hopefully Melati will be aware and be a good person while in the cell and when free later.

While the grandmother kept screaming, cursing Melati and Mr. Indra. He did not accept it and threatened to retaliate later.

Both of Melati's former in-laws also chided even throwing Jasmine with a bottle of mineral water.

Fortunately Agam responded so he could block and finally the bottle hit his arm.

Agam approached the two, looked intently at them and said, "If you hurt my wife and child, don't blame me if you catch up with your mother immediately, crouching in the same cell!"

The guts of the two shrieked, then they hurriedly left the place.

Mr. Indra only laughed to see the two run away because of the threat of his son, then he invited Agam, Melati and Bayu to return to his residence.

Chandra today could not attend because she was accompanying her father to see a client.

Mr. Indra also asked Agam to stay with him and he will hold a reception for Agam's wedding which was delayed.

He does not care what the guests comment later, the most important thing for him is the happiness of Agam who loves Melati.

Agam and Melati actually do not want a big reception, they just want thanksgiving and sharing with the poor and children of the orphanage.

But Mr. Indra had arranged everything and Agampun could not refuse anymore.

Mr. Indra asked his personal assistant to go to Melati's hometown to pick up Father and Mother.

He wants at the reception later Melati family also present because there he wants to improve the image of Melati which is already bad in the eyes of the community.

Mr. Indra also wants to introduce Agam to all guests that Agam is his son and also the heir who will control all his efforts.

Melati did not expect her life would turn that drastic, from a prostitute to a Mistress from a famous family.

Although her fate has changed but Melati is still a good woman who will forever be the darling of Agam.

Their happy life was lived until Agam got a special surprise that he did not expect would be as fast as Agam got.

After the office Melati showed me a pregnancy test kit that showed line two and that means they will give a sister for the baby.

The news is the most beautiful gift for Agam and also Mr. Indra. They will celebrate it at the same time as the wedding reception.

Agam does not allow Melati to do anything and now replace Agamlah who serves all the needs of Melati when he was at home.

Melati's parents who had arrived were shocked, when they saw her daughter's new life.

At first they refused but because Agam begged that they could help pay attention to Melati's pregnancy, the two agreed.

Melati was very happy, she was able to get together again with her parents.

The party took place, important guests and famous businessmen in the city were all invited by Mr. Indra. And sure enough Melati's guess, they make fun of it, talk about it and some want to harass.

Mr. Indra who knew about it immediately took Melati and Agam to the party hall and there he told all the truth about Melati and Agam.

He said out loud, if he is proud of his son-in-law and will fight anyone who still wants to harass Melati.

The guests were moved and apologized. Although some are still sneering but Mr. Indra and Agam do not care.

Mr. Indra also announced another happiness that he will soon receive is the presence of his family's grandson.

Melati's parents were initially shocked, embarrassed and disappointed to learn that her daughter had been a prostitute.

But after Agam explained they felt guilty why they did not know if his daughter was suffering.

Fathers and mothers apologized and they felt they contributed to make Melati a prostitute because of their complaints that used to be difficult in terms of finances.

Hugging mom and dad, he cried and begged for mercy if all this time had humiliated both of them.

Father and Mother do not blame Melati anymore, they only regret why Melati kept such a big secret and chose to live in pain just to please the family.

Mr. Indra mediates and he asks that they forget the dark past of Melati. Now the most important thing is to correct the mistakes and reorganize life.

The party continues until the end. The guests came home one by one and as they were about to rest, security came to tell if there was an old woman dressed in ragged camping like a beggar forcing her way in and wanted to see Agam.

Finally Agam asked security to bring the woman in and Agampun was surprised when the woman suddenly hugged her feet while crying.

Agam asked the woman to stand up and she was surprised when she looked at him with both hands clenched, apologizing for all her mistakes.

"Mama Helen?"

Helen cries and apologizes again, asking Agam to help Resti who is currently dying in the hospital.

It turns out that Resti tried to commit suicide because he could not stand life in prison which always received torture from his cellmates.

Agampun pity, then he invited Melati and Chandra to visit Resti.

Mama Helen was grateful because Agam still wanted to care about Resti and herself.

Agam asks Helen to forget everything and start a new life. He promised to return all the Assets that Agam had taken just because he wanted to teach Resti a lesson.

Arriving at the hospital, Agam entered Resti's room and he saw Resti lying with a bandage wrapped in his arm.

Resti cut his own veins with a weapon belonging to his cellmate.

Agam sat down beside Resti, and then he clasped the hand that now looked small and pale, and Agam said, "Res, why are you doing this. Remember Res the law of the Hereafter hurts more than the law of the world. Rise up and repent, Res, Allah will surely forgive His servant who truly wants to repent."

"I know you're a good woman, just because you've been tempted to forget your treasure. Wake up Res, pity mama. Look at how he is now. He's worried about you Res!"

Resti's eyelids began to move, it indicates if he began to be aware.

Agam and Bu Helen were relieved, finally Resti survived death.

Resti cried when he opened his eyes and saw Agam and Melati in front of him. He felt embarrassed because the person he had dzolimi turned out to still want to come visit him.

Seeing Resti's attitude, Agampun said, "Have not cried Res, the most important thing now is that you must be eager to heal. Forget everything that happened and put your life back together. There's still time to turn into a good human being."

Sobs were heard and Resti shaken in a voice apologized to Agam and Melati.

Melatipun also grasped Resti's hand and he said that he had forgiven all of Resti's mistakes.

Resti and Mama Helen were relieved because their mistakes had been forgiven and they also promised to leave this city after Resti was free.

They will return to Helen's hometown to start a new life.

Agam also promised to return assets and give some money for the life of Resti and Helen in the future.

Now they have made peace and Agam said goodbye because he did not want to get Melati exhausted. Melati is currently pregnant young so her condition is still vulnerable.

Resti congratulated and regret arose in his heart for having wasted a good husband like Agam.

Regrets are always late and that is what Resti is feeling. He has lost Agam forever.

From this story we can learn the same if patience has its limits and do not waste the sincere love of a husband, because many women out there who crave love like we have.

Regret after loss will not be useful then we are equally restful and struggle to reach the ridho and love of the husband to Jannah.
