Galen accepted it and opened the pendant until it split in two.

“You left the necklace to Aldo to give it to me, before going to this hospital for surgery. You said if anything happens, this necklace will unite us.”

Galen looked up at Aline. “You know this thing means a lot to me!”

Aline nodded slowly.

Both were silent for a moment. Galen was still staring and stroking the photo of the woman in the locket. Aline wishes Galen's memory would come back.
