Chapters 3. Apple and Tree's
The smell of dew in the morning after the rain causes a sweet sensation like sugar from the fruit.
The crackling sound of fire from the last charcoal awakens Elea from her deep sleep.
The only warehouse located at the very end of the row of uninhabited housing blends with the wild twigs that exist along the way, becoming the safest shelter for now.
Not surprised by her absence, Elea begins to resign and realize how often Lucas has a habit of always disappearing. He finally emerged from the entrance hurriedly carrying two fish and a basket of apples. Putting her in the corner of the room she said, "I caught a fish in the river, quite far from here. On the way home, I saw a wisp of smoke around the tree and found this fresh apple"
"Thank God. It's enough for dinner"
"Let me clean it up"
Lucas took the initiative to help, then the girl nodded in agreement.
He stared at the nanar as they continued walking to take on their respective roles.

"If it's safe, I'll go back home"
Elea's chirps suddenly made Lucas turn his back instantly.
"Are you sure? It's dangerous! They already know where you live and are waiting for you there."
"Tell me what choice we have! Even this warehouse we live in is far from a decent place to live"
Lucas lowered his head, at a loss for words. After all, it was she who dragged Elea into this matter, and the girl lost the only home that was so precious to her"
Lucas took a rough breath and finally agreed to her.
"I'll help you go there, but we can't to mene-"
"Revelation!!"
Lucas reflexively pushes and catches Elea until they fall to the side. A spear suddenly nearly struck the girl from the front, and she was completely unaware of the sharp object coming.
A group of bandits wearing braies pants without tunics or robes with bare feet.
They gathered and surrounded them in one place, leaving almost no room to escape.
Their leader, Nikolas, picks up the apple Lucas got and advances towards them both.
"You got guts, hm"
He showed the apple to Lucas
Look, do you know this?" Nicholas pulled his head back
"This is a trap for you. Didn't you notice? And this entire region, is in my power!"
He banged his head against the wall very hard
Nikolas turned around, "This is the mouse we're looking for!"
"Haha!!!"
His flock responded with a cynical laugh. Nicholas turned towards Lucas and raised his chin forcefully.
"Look at this weak thief..."
Nicholas held Lucas' wrist and punched him repeatedly in the stomach until his mouth was bleeding.
"Prepare to pay for it"
"Stop!" Shouted Elea
Nicholas glanced at Elea. And now he turned to the girl.
"Wow.you brought a girl too, yeah"
As if he had imagined what would happen, Lucas threatened the man.
"Stay away from him or I'll kill you!!"
Nikolas ignored her, his gaze only fixed on the girl.
He approached and touched his face,
"Keep your filthy hands off me!"
Elea slaps Nikolas in the face but is met with a firm grip on her wrist, leaving her grimacing in pain.
The man's hand traced Elea's jawline and her thumb ended up on her lower lip and pressed down on her.
"This beauty.."
"B**ngan!"
They simultaneously point their guns at Lucas
"Try to move, then you'll die"
One of them threatened him
Nikolas' gaze became wild.
The girl tried to rebel but was easily repelled by him
Hatred, anger and sadness mixed into one in his sobbing. He who was arrested did not get a chance to fight.
Nicholas started to become violent, now he was going to destroy the girl, like a wild beast ready to pounce on its prey, no one could stop him, not even his own person.
"Amuse-toi avec moi, bebe" whispered Nicholas
Unaccepting with all his repulsive treatment of Elea, the young man's anger mounted and his patience ran out. Fortunately, at that time their focus was only on Elea. Lucas took the opportunity to take out the remaining smoke powder in his pocket. He pulled Elea away from the crowd.
After blurring their vision, without wasting time, Lucas threw Incendium around the source of the fire from the torch on the still-flaming wall not far from the enemy.
"Take this basic hormonal old pack!!" Lucas exclaimed
"Boom!!"
An explosion was heard. The fire spread quickly and spread to the wall. The warehouse was burning and burning in a burning fire.
In a panic, the bandits fled in all directions to protect themselves.
Lucas takes Elea out of enemy territory and puts her brown robe on Elea who is shivering.
"My neck?!"
"Calm down. It's safe with me."
Elea looked down, not daring to show her face to Lucas who was very worried about her current condition.
Lucas rested the back of his hand on Elea's shoulder
"Hey, I'm here, and I promise I'll always protect you..." Lucas with his distinctive soft tone tried to calm the mixed thoughts of Elea at this time.
"It's all your fault" Elea sobbed again but was muffled in Lucas' embrace.
Elea's eyes rounded instantly. Lucas tried to say something.
"Sorry..."
Elea looked at Lucas and smiled weakly at him. He returned his embrace

Lucas and Elea walked down a narrow path downstream of the river. The path was filled with tall trees and bushes.
When they reached the riverbank, Elea stopped on a large rock facing the stream, and Lucas, who was far ahead, stopped his steps and turned to Elea
"Elea?"
Elea follows Lucas' attention as he approaches her.
"Is everything okay?" Add
Elea shook her head
"Lucas, I'm not sure" Elea replied
"What do you mean, Elea?"
"The soldiers have definitely blocked the entrance and I know it's too dangerous. The guards are cruel, and I don't want you to get hurt"
The clear thread passed through two of his petals.
"Everything's messy. I don't even have a home to go back to, but what choice do I have? I can't stay on the streets, and I can't go back home either"
In a serious tone, Lucas tried to reassure her "I won't let you face this alone, Elea. We'll go together and finish it. I'm sure we'll find another way, don't worry"
Elea nodded, and they resumed their journey.
