Chapter 69. Something

Arriving home, Jordan was taken to his room to remain outpatient and post-operative. Though Ellea had guessed, if all that was just engineering. There's no way Jordan was really hurt.

After Jordan is taken to the room, Vanny and Lay's two confidants arrive. Ellea looked at Vanny's puffy eyes. There was a bit of a strange feeling in Ellea when she looked at Vanny's face.

His face was so gloomy and looked full of weight. Vanny also seemed to have cried. That made Ellea suspicious. Something is wrong with Vanny and Jordan's two secretaries.

Without further ado, Vanny walked into her room without speaking a word. That convinced Ellea even more, if something happened to Vanny. Ellea intends to ask Vanny, after all things return to their normal state.

"Mommy, what's the big brother?" ask Daniel plain.

"Sshhtt, Daniel, you can't be like that. Your aunt seems to be in trouble. Mommy has to make sure what the problem is." explains Ellea.

"Usually that old brother looks annoying, Mommy. I'm not excited if he's like that!"

"You again! Always looking for trouble. Shut up, your Aunty seems to be sad." said Ellea.

"Alright Mommy. I'm not gonna prank old brother. I'll just prank Daddy's new secretary!" Daniel moves out of the courtyard of this mansion, to meet Alex, Gavin's new secretary, who once turned out to be Jordan's man.

"Daniel! Waitaminute! Where the hell are you going? Hey, little boy!" Ellea shouted at Daniel, but Daniel did not listen.

Gavin then approached Ellea who was shouting, "Why? What does Daniel want?"

Gavin's still a little sensitive to Ellea. He didn't say much to Ellea, out of annoyance yesterday. Ellea was a fool with Gavin, because Ellea also had her own reasons why she did not want to tell Gavin everything.

"You ask the child!" Ellea turned cold.

"Oh." Gavin leaves Ellea.

Gavin and Ellea are like little children, they are both now engaged in an endless cold war. Gavin is angry with Ellea, because of Ellea's carelessness and dishonesty with her. Ellea was stubborn too, not wanting to apologize to Gavin.

Gavin walks to his yard to see Daniel. Sure enough, Daniel has bullied Alex in various ways. Alex who was washing the car using a hose, turned as fast as he could by Daniel. So the water in the hose spilled everywhere, and hit Alex's body.

Daniel laughed out loud, as Alex's clothes were all wet. Alex's face was also exposed to splashes of water from a swollen hose. There's a reason behind Daniel's mischief. He deliberately did that to Alex, because according to Daniel, Alex is here just to make trouble.

Upon seeing Alex having trouble because all his body was wet, Gavin immediately stopped Daniel's actions. Gavin doesn't like it if Daniel behaves like that. Gavin turns off the faucet so that the water does not constantly wet Alex.

Daniel just laughed to see Alex tormented. Gavin embraces Daniel immediately, and takes him before Alex to apologize for his actions.

Alex pretends to smile and says it's okay, because there's no way Alex is angry with Daniel, let alone Gavin in front of him. Alex could only grumble in his heart, so upset at Daniel.

Just watch out little boy! You deliberately raise the volume of water like that? Look at it later, you'll get a reply! Inner Alex.

"Alex is right you're okay? Sorry Daniel, yes. My son is sometimes outrageous. I hope you're not mad at him." Gavin said.

"It's okay, sir. His name is also a child. I can understand him. Moreover, Mr. Daniel is also very active like this." replied Alex feigning.

"Niel, don't you repeat it like this, yeah. It's a good thing Alex's secretary isn't upset with you" Gavin said.

Daniel's! Stop it! You're outrageous. It can't be, son. Come on, let's go. Alex, please continue your work. Again, forgive my son, yes." said Gavin.

"Yes, Sir. It's okay." Alex pretended to smile.

In his heart, Alex was really upset. Seeing Daniel, it felt like he wanted to repay his actions. Alex is here just to spy on Gavin, not to be bullied like this by a kid like Daniel.

Gavin takes Daniel to the garden behind his mansion. Gavin doesn't like it if Daniel behaves like that. Gavin intends, will advise Daniel, so that the same incident will not be repeated again.

Gavin invited Daniel to sit on the playground. Daniel complies with Gavin's request. Daniel already knew, he must have been lectured by Gavin. Daniel will not fight, because in fact it was done by him. Daniel who had been sitting, could only look at Gavin who was staring at him as well.

"Niel, do you know, Alex's secretary is older than you? Do you know how we honor people older than us?" ask Daniel Gavin.

Daniel nodded, though,

"Then, how do you honor someone older than us, son? Why are you acting like that to her?"

"We should be polite and respectful to those older than us. We should be good to them too. We mustn't act with them." replied Daniel.

"Then, what did you do to Secretary Alex? Is that a good deed?" ask Gavin again.

Daniel shook his head, though,

"What did you do?"

"Make Uncle Alex wet, Daddy." replied Daniel.

"That's not good, it's rude, Niel. Why did you even do it? He doesn't bother you, he doesn't hate you. Why do you have to do that?" Gavin continues to teach Daniel valuable lessons.

Daniel honestly wants to talk to Gavin about who Alex really is. But, there is a feeling of fear implied in Daniel. Daniel was afraid, Gavin did not believe him, which is why Daniel kept hiding what was in his mind.

"I'm sorry, Daddy." That's all Daniel can say.

"Do you hate Alex's secretary, Daniel? Daddy thinks you've never been this nosy before. You argue a lot with Aunty Vanny, but you've never done anything to her. But what about Secretary Alex, you're so brave? Daddy was surprised, just this time you made trouble, son." said Gavin.

"Daddy, I have a reason for this! But, I'm not so sure, if Daddy's gonna hear me and trust me! I wanted to say it since yesterday, but I've always held it back!" Daniel is upset, because Gavin keeps blaming him.

"Whatchu mean? What do you want to say? Just say it, son. Don't cover. There's no way Daddy wouldn't listen to you!" Gavin looked at Daniel who was getting upset.

"Secretary Alex is not a good person. He's a bad guy! Secretary Alex, is .., the driver who kidnapped me, and took me to Uncle Eric's house. You should be aware, Daddy! You must act quickly! All this is dangerous. There's no way he's here, if there's no other meaning! Don't you shut up, Daddy! You should be able to move fast. I'm pissed at you, because you're always quiet!" Daniel is upset at Gavin, and runs away leaving Gavin alone.

Daniel's last words, make Gavin wonder, is that true? There are so many things Gavin doesn't know. And the words of Daniel this time, were truly astounding to him.
