Go Home to Revenge
20. Talk Both

Zaki sat pensively in his chair. Something was troubling his mind. Not a company issue, but a relationship issue with Selvi.

In the past, Zaki wanted to quickly get engaged and married to Selvi, the woman he loved so much. But that desire is no longer as passionate as it used to be. As there are doubts over his relationship with Selvi, especially lately Selvi often shows his true character.

Zaki remembers the incident at the engagement party where Selvi humbled Dira. Zaki's mother talked about the incident all night. His mother was quite disappointed with the attitude of Selvi who will soon become his daughter-in-law and instead praised Dira who had just met once.

Zaki has not met Selvi even once after the engagement party. Even every time Selvi contacted him, Zaki preferred to dodge for work reasons.

Like this morning, Selvi sent him a message if he would catch up with Zaki to the company. But Zaki just read the message without replying to it. Somehow Zaki does not like the spoiled attitude of Selvi after seeing how barren Dira is.

Dira again, Dira again.

"Darling ... " Suddenly the door opened. Then Selvi walked in with her seductive smile. "Why not return my message?" tanyanya. The woman approached Zaki in her chair and sat on his lap. Zaki did not refuse. She still loves this woman, but not as much as she used to.

"I'm sorry, I'm busy" Zaki replied as he was.

"Let's have lunch, it's been a few days we don't eat together," asked Selvi.

Zaki looked at the clock in his hand. "In a moment, I'll finish this first and then we can go" he replied. Selvi nodded and came down from Zaki's lap. The woman turned to sit on the sofa.

Moments later Zaki's assistant knocked on the door then walked in.

"Sir, I just want to remind you that soon there will be a meeting at once lunch with Vinson Corp."

"Good God, I forgot! You reminded him this morning." Zaki immediately stood up and cleared his desk. Because most daydream Zaki forgot his agenda today.

"Therefore I remind you again, because we should have left for the meeting location" the assistant replied.

"All right, wait for me in the parking lot. I'll be right down."

Assistant Zaki nodded then left.

"Darling, sorry it looks like we'll have lunch next time. I forgot there was a meeting with Vinson Corp. We'll just delay tonight. You want to, don't you?" zaki said while wearing his suit in a hurry.

"There's Dira too?" Hearing the name of Vinson Corp, Selvi immediately remembered Dira. Zaki stops his activities hearing Selvi's questions, hesitating to answer.

"Why silence? I asked if Dira was also having lunch with you guys?" reset Selvi.

"Yes, of course. He's the head of that company" Zaki replied in the end.

"Come Cells! It's a business, not a personal matter! This meeting was scheduled a few days ago. After all this was not a meeting of the two, we brought our respective teams! Open your mind a little, do nothing jealous! You were not like this!" Zaki starts to get annoyed at being asked questions by Selvi.

"You weren't like this either! You've changed since Dira!" reply Selvi slightly shouted.

"That's it, I don't want to talk about this!" Zaki passed by leaving Selvi who looked angry. It is not impossible if this debate continues to turn into a big fight.

During the trip to the meeting location, Zaki was more silent and daydreaming. In the past, there was almost never a debate between him and Selvi. Their relationship went well. Selvi is never jealous of any female clients who deal with Zaki, and Zaki also feels that Selvi is the most understanding and perfect woman she has ever met.

But everything changed after he got to know Dira. Zaki always compared Selvi to Dira, and in any case Dira was far superior. This makes Zaki aware if it turns out there are so many flaws Selvi who somehow he was not aware of all this time.

Soon Zaki and his team arrive at the meeting point where Dira and his team are waiting. This meeting at once lunch went smoothly so it was quickly completed. Zaki asked his subordinates to return to the company first because there was something he wanted to talk to Dira about.

"You don't mind, do I keep you here?" ask Zaki.

"I'm actually a little busy, but it doesn't matter. I can take a minute. What do you want to talk about?"

"Dira, I want to apologize for Selvi's attitude towards you that night."

Dira smiles. "It doesn't matter Zaki, I'm indeed the son of a maid. Selvi is telling the truth."

Dira's answer made Zaki even more amazed. In addition to being independent, Dira's way of thinking is also very mature, even he is not ashamed to admit his origins.

"Also I feel bad for you."

Seeing Zaki's seriousness, Dira thinks maybe it's time to tell Zaki how it really is to do with Selvi first.

"My mother used to work as a maid in the Selvi family home. Mr. Harsa was so kind that he gave me a scholarship. But that then made Selvi become arbitrary to me. He often insulted me, humiliated me, harassed me and many other bad things. That's what he used to do to me. So, what she did to me that night, nothing compared to how she used to treat me."

Zaki is stunned to hear Dira's story, between believing and not. "I know you are angry at Selvi's attitude towards you but you don't have to say anything bad about Selvi."

Dira smiled again, but it was not the sweet smile she used to show Zaki. "You knew her schoolmates, didn't you? You can ask them if you think I'm just making it up. Believe it not, but that's what Selvi is like. If he says we used to be friends, it's wrong. He's very evil Zaki, not as you've known all along."

"I'm sorry, I have a lot of work to do. You better think about your relationship with him, it's not too late to end it than you regret it" Dira said. "And one more thing, he should be the one apologizing to me instead of you. You know what that means?" said Dira before stepping away.

Zaki was speechless.

Without them noticing a pair of eyes kept paying attention to Dira and Zaki. Yes, Selvi followed Zaki to this place. He was very upset because after their subordinates came home, Zaki and Dira were still alone. But unfortunately Selvi has no idea what Zaki and Dira are talking about because she is watching them from a distance. Selvi could only clench her hand holding back the anger.
