Going To Another World Only Relying On Five Senses

Going To Another World Only Relying On Five Senses
Chapter 12's

Anqa and I walked together in a very long corridor of the palace.

This surprised me, I just found out that inside the palace was quiet like this, or maybe because it was still very early so the people in the palace were still united with their respective mattresses.

Talking about the bed made me sleepy again, I yawned and immediately covered my mouth with my left hand.

If you recall, this is the first time I woke up this morning in this new world. And this silence intrigued me.

"It's so quiet herewell, are the guards sleeping too?"

"Night until morning, the guards were just standing guard at the outside of the palace. Just imagine, if a fully combat-dressed guard were to pander around inside the palace."

In retrospect…

"Friction of his clothes will disturb the person inside the sleeping palace."

"Yep, at least you're not just an ordinary perverted boy."

This woman is stupid or unconscious, the real pervert here is her. You weird woman, and stop calling me a perverted boy.

We stopped talking for a few seconds because we ran out of topics, but suddenly Anqa started talking to me first.

"Hey, I have an offer for you. Emm…"

"City."

"Really! Icy! Are you interested in becoming a palace guard?"

It's great! He finally called me right. What that means is that he wants to recruit me, an interesting bargain, but unfortunately I already have other goals.

"Why are you suddenly asking me?"

Anqa was silent for a moment, it seemed like she was thinking of something.

"Yesterday, you can dodge my attack. Looks like you have some pretty decent skills. Tomorrow will be a day of tragedy, ironic when a day that should be fun, even a scary day. Whatever happens, I will protect the king and protect his throne."

It sounds like me or it's a little weird, what exactly does Anqa want.

"So actually, you're either on the princess' side or on the king's side?"

"We may have just met, but I'll tell you a story."

"Wow start again…"

…

About 4 years ago, there was a little boy who was fixing the roof of the house, the little girl was doing her job which was a builder.

Lately the weather in Eus Trama is bad, very strong winds make many houses in the suburbs of Edman destroyed. Moreover, the houses there are made of makeshift materials and the area there is very slum.

Despite earning me a small wage, this bad weather can be a source of sustenance for a little girl who is a builder.

An old man inside the house shouted at the child who was hitting the tile with a hammer.

"Hey Anqa! After you are done with the roof, please fix the window near the door. It was also destroyed by yesterday's windstorm."

The little boy did not answer the old man's words, but the old man did not mind, as if he knew the little boy would still fix his window.

To be honest, the little boy was starting to get annoyed by this state of affairs. Forced to become a builder because the people in suburban Edman are all very selfish. They think only of themselves, blaming the king and the nobles for their poor condition, even though it is because of their own ignorance and laziness in developing.

Until one day, a group of palace guards came there and intended to displace the territory there by order of the king.

The palace guards had already explained that the suburban Edman area would be evicted and those living there would get a new residence, a new flat south of the recently completed city of Edman.

The building on the flats was definitely sturdy, and the surroundings could not possibly be shabby like this place.

Even so, strangely the suburban residents even against the palace guards. They choose to keep their house which if hit by a storm once again, the house is likely to collapse.

This dispute was incomprehensible to the little boy. Obviously if this benefits the residents of suburban Edman, but why they reject it.

Eventually the dispute reached its peak and the suburban residents had to give up their homes.

From there the little boy began to think, if this continued he would become as stupid as the suburbanites, he would have to change. After he was transferred to a flats, his life became comfortable, his residence became safe from natural disasters.

One year after moving in, the young boy, who was starting to become a teenager, decided to train as a city guard. He wanted to protect the city as a thank you to the king for giving him a proper home. He also swore to protect the king.

"Hoo…"

I said after I finished hearing Anqa's story.

Seriously! I don't know why I've been hearing other people's past stories lately. It was too convoluted, why they did not just tell the core of the story.

"So you will tell me if the king is not as bad as Naberus said. Well then, if tomorrow you meet Naberus on the battlefield, will you fight him?"

"Stupid! I love my daughter from the outside to the inside. Of course I can't fight it. But I won't let the plans of the revolutionary forces succeed."

"... So, what do you want to do?"

Since there were still things we had to talk about, we started to stand facing each other.

"That's easy. I will fight all revolutionary forces besides the princess. Therefore, if you refuse is also okay, but if you are a person who likes to interfere, help the city of Edman with your abilities."

Anqa extended her hand towards me.

"Respect your offer. But I'm sorry, I have other business to do."

Anqa pulled back her hand.

"So then, sorry for trying to drag you down too."

"What I'm more worried about is you. How can you defeat a revolutionary army while you cannot fight Naberus. He's the key to this attack."

"Joke what are you saying. The princess isn't the key, she's an angel."

As Anqa said something vague, the door opened. The light from outside started to enter the palace where I was standing.

"Let's just calm Iky down. Other than me, there are two more guards who are extremely strong. The royal army is not without power."

"Then I can calm down. See you later, Anqaneh..."

"Call me with another 'neh' and I'll hit your head with a hammer."

I finally made it out of the palace.

The first place I went after coming out was definitely the adventurer guild. What happened to Andra when I wasn't around?

I ran, kept running until I finally got to the guild. Andra was there, she was waiting standing beside the entrance of the guild.

"Andra!"

I screamed as I ran closer to him.

"Iky, what a coincidence you came. I just came too."

I catch my breath because I ran out after running. Finished taking a breath, I began to ask Andra.

"Where are you?"

"So this is the story…"

"Not to tell anymore! I'm tired of hearing people's stories. The point is."

Andra was confused to hear my words, but she quickly ignored them and began to explain.

"Yesterday afternoon when you asked me to wait here, I kept waiting for you until midnight."

"... Sorry…"

"It's okay. Since you haven't come yet, I've decided to sleep here."

"... Sorry.. how?"

"But suddenly Margaret came to see me and invited me to stay at her house. I then went with Margaret and after waking up early, I planned to wait for you again here. It's only been a few seconds since I arrived, you've come."

"Margaret? Who is it."

"You must know him. He is a union receptionist who often helps us on mission purposes."

So the receptionist's name was Margaret. Fortunately, he knew Andra. When I meet again, I have to thank him.

"Andra, this may be sudden. But there's a change of plans, we're leaving Edman's town today. So pack your things."

"Can't."

"We're going to take one more mission-huh?"

What did I hear just now?

"I can't."

"Th-can't! The situation in the city is in an emergency, if you don't want to get involved we better go as soon as possible."

"But I promised Margaret."

"Promise!"

"Yes, we're both going to the festival together tomorrow."

"Festival!"

Why didn't anyone tell me about the festival. Why did the people of this city, even the princess, tell me about the assault of the revolutionary forces instead of a festival.

Attack when there is a big event. This town is getting unhealthy to my wits.
