FIRST AND LAST FRIENDS

At Andy's

"Lauren, where are you? Tell me why," Andy called out anxiously.

Lauren finally appears in front of Andy. "Hey, Andy. I'm here" he replied.

"Why can I live that long? Explain to me," asked Andy curiously.

Lauren took a deep breath before replying, "Look, Andy. Humans on Earth today have an average lifespan of less than 200 years. There are even those who only live about 140 years, and many who die before the age of 64."

"But in ancient times, when the Earth was not too densely populated by human populations and still maintained its sustainability, humans could live up to 1000 years. In fact, the human body at that time was much larger than that of humans today, even larger than that of dinosaurs. If dinosaurs lived today, they would look big and scary because humans today are smaller. However, that did not apply to ancient humans who had large body sizes."

"All of it is influenced by nature and the surrounding environment. If you live on Earth now, maybe you won't be thousands of years old. But when you go to the world you're going to, it will be completely different from Earth in the Milky Way Galaxy."

"People on my planet have been studying humans on Earth for a long time, but it was only me who came here for the first time. And the results showed that if Earth humans went to a particular planet in the Milky Way Galaxy, they would have a long lifespan. This is due to the body getting used to the environment of the planet there which is very different from Earth. Our body will adapt to the strong and the endurance that increases tremendously."

"I don't know for sure if you're really 10,000 years old, but it's most likely more than that" Lauren explained.

Andy considered Lauren's words carefully. "You sure about that, Lauren?" tanyanya doubt.

But Lauren assures him, "Of course, Andy. You think I'm just telling a fairy tale? I really believe in this."

"I understand now," Andy said as he nodded.

"By the way, what do you mean by a different nature?" ask Andy again.

Lauren explained, "It doesn't mean there are no plants or rain there. What I mean is the difference that only your body can feel. The nature there is almost no different from Earth, but the shape of the planet is truly unique. You'd be surprised to see it."

"I don't like to be surprised by trivial things" Andy said with a smile.

"I'm so sleepy, Lauren. I want to sleep" Andy said.

"It's up to you, Andy," Lauren replied.

Tomorrow

Tok, tok, tok (door sound knocked)

Andy was awakened by the sound of knocking on the door and immediately went outside.

"Who came this early in the morning?" thought Andy.

Andy opened the door and was surprised to see Vienna, his classmate, standing in front of him with a smile. "Win? Vienna?" surprised Andy.

"How do you know my home address?" ask Andy curious.

Vienna replied, "I know from the teacher. I asked him where your house is."

"Oh, so," said Andy.

"Is there anything you need to tell me at my house, Vienna?" ask Andy.

"I want to take you for a morning run. Wanna come?" bring Vienna.

"Morning run?" Andy's surprised. "I have to take a shower first."

Andy ran inside the house, but then came back because he forgot to invite Vienna in. "Vienna, enter. Come on!" bring him.

Vienna walks into Andy's house and looks around. His eyes were fixed on the picture of Andy's family plastered on the wall.

"Win, you've been coming to my house once. What's up?" ask Andy while running.

"I actually want to talk to you about something, but we can just talk in the park" Vienna replied.

"Oh, okay," said Andy.

They both ran towards the park, but halfway...

"Hey, Andy. I have a nice place, come with me," Vienna suddenly asked.

"Wait a minute, Win," said Andy.

Andy turned and took Vienna to a river with a small waterfall.

"This is the place, Win. Nice, right?" said Andy.

Vienna is fascinated by the natural beauty in the morning. "I just found out there's a place like this near us, Dy. Nice work!"

"I used to come here a lot with my parents" Andy said.

"This is indeed beautiful" said Vienna with a smile.

Andy bought Viennese bread and drinks from a nearby store, then they sat by the river and enjoyed breakfast together.

"Dy, there's something I want to say. Last night, I had a dream..." Vienna suddenly stopped talking.

Andy looked at her with attention. "What dream, Win? Tell me."

Vienna recounts his dream of Andy leaving or dying, where he sees Andy's spirit come out of his body and smiles at him. Vienna was crying and feeling sad in her dream. Andy's spirit said to him, "Win, I have to go somewhere. I wish we could meet again." Vienna woke up at 3am and then went to see Andy at 5.

"You're really dreaming like that, Win?" asked Andy with mixed feelings.

"Yes, Dy. I don't know why I dream like that either" replied Vienna.

"I don't want to go, Win. I want to stay here" Andy said in a soft voice.

Vienna lowered her head and cried on Andy's lap. Andy gently stroked her hair, though she knew that in two days, she would leave Earth forever.

"Andy, don't go. I don't want to lose you" Vienna said in a sobbing voice.

Andy felt a sense of pain in his heart, but he kept smiling and uttering soothing words. He could not tell Vienna that he would be gone in two days. Instead, he invited Vienna home.

"Come, Win. Wakes up. It's getting late" Andy said.

Vienna nodded and the two of them ran back after a long time sitting by the river. Although Andy was sad about leaving his first friend, he still tried to smile because he knew that he had to keep his promise.

"Let's go home, Win. See you at school" Andy said.

"Alright, Andy. See you," replied Vienna.

Andy arrived home feeling sad. He had just gotten his first friend, but in such a short time, he had to leave her forever...

Andy was so long alone, he had no friends other than Vienna who always paid attention to him. For Andy, Vienna was the best friend he knew, Andy was so grateful to know Vienna. He will protect Vienna if needed, he will look after his friend as best he can.

But Andy had no idea what was going to happen in the future.
