Lacey did not take the legal title that Adam gave her. Instead, he turned around and looked at Zeke as he wanted to know what his next best course of action was.

Zeke smiled wryly.

Judging from the look on his face, he believes Adam is aware that Jeremy is behind bars.

Although he knew what was going to wait for Lacey, he insisted on handing over the official title to her.

Adam was a cruel man. He did not even bother to hold back his own grandson.

I will stop showing mercy to you because you also have no intention of holding back.

Zeke tells Adam, "We will take over official ownership on one condition."

"I want you to transfer title ownership to Lacey. I don't want such conflicts to happen again in the future."

That's exactly what Adam had in mind because he could send Lacey behind bars and free Jeremy once he transferred his holdings to Lacey.

He's nodding. "Sure!"

Zeke grabbed his phone and made a call.

Before long, someone from the Land Bureau showed up.

Of course, they were part of Zeke's plan as well.

They perform the necessary procedures online, right in the steel mills. The law degree was soon transferred to Lacey.

Lily had an evil smile on her face as they verified the authenticity of the updated legal title.

"Good! Lacey, aren't you and your family full? How dare you humiliate me and ask me to kneel!"

"Hopefully you can keep it behind bars too!"

Adam replied sarcastically, "Lily, take care of your manners."

"Again, Lacey is your cousin. You should stop by and visit her once in a while once she's arrested."

Lacey and her family were confused by their words because they had no idea what was going on.

Lacey asked, "Lily, what do you mean by being behind bars and visiting us?"

"Good! I'll tell you the truth. The Schneider family stopped by earlier because the steel you produced doesn't meet the standards."

"As the steel mill's in charge, my father was arrested by the police."

"Thankfully, we can prove otherwise now that you have become the person in charge of the steel mill. I'll ask the police to arrest you and immediately release my father!"

A chill ran down Lacey's back and her family.

It is a conspiracy against our family.

Dad and Lily want Lacey to replace Jeremy behind bars.

Hannah was crying because of how hated she was. "Dad ... You ... That's too much!"

"Lacey is your granddaughter too! How can you ..."

"Do you seriously consider yourself his grandfather?"

"You brash fool!" Adam widened his eyes and pursed his lips. "You asked for it!"

"You shouldn't produce such low-quality steel! You're the one who got Jeremy sent behind bars!"

Daniel bellowed furiously, "If not for the scheme you created with Jeremy to take over the steel mill, he wouldn't have been sent behind bars either!"

"He deserves it! He should have seen it coming!"

"I will beat you to the ground, you unfilial child!" Adam raised his staff and hit Daniel. "Jeremy is your brother! How can you say he deserves it?"

Daniel also did not avoid his father's attack. He let his father beat him as he pleased.

The excruciating sensation he felt physically was nothing compared to what he felt deep down.

His eyes were teary, "Jeremy took over the steel mill in a hostile manner, yet you didn't even bother defending us."

"He wanted Lacey to take his place behind bars, but you kept quiet, too."

"However, you decided to beat me up to the point just because I was against you and said he deserved it?"

"Did you never think that you were a biased person?"

"Damn? I'm your father! I decide who I am biased to. Stop telling me how or what to do!"

He struck Daniel once more with his stick as soon as he finished his sentence.

Lacey and her family were very disappointed.

Suddenly, sirens shouted in front of the door of the steel factory.

Lily was so happy. "Grandfather, it's the police!"

"I just called them and told them that Lacey had been in charge of the steel mill."

"I'm sure they're here to catch Lacey!"
