Secret Arrest
Alex rested for a day before his strength gradually recovered. He returned to the Emperor's hotel to handle his daily work. As he was about to go to the hospital, Hengky suddenly entered from outside and said, "Sir, there's a man named Reyhan looking for you."
Alex thought, "Isn't Reyhan Wendy's niece? What's he looking for me for?"
"Let him in."
Shortly after, Hengky brought Reyhan in, Alex smiled, "Rey, what's looking for me?"
Reyhan looked at Hengky, he did not immediately reply. Alex said, "It's okay, he's not someone else."
Reyhan said: "Uncle, didn't you ask me to observe Elno's movements? He showed up last night."
Alex immediately asked, "You really saw him?"
Reyhan said: "My subordinates monitor his house 24 hours a day. He sees Elno wandering around his house, but he seems hesitant and does not dare to go home. According to my understanding, she was worried about her daughter, so she planned to risk going home and seeing her."
Alex asked: "Then do you know what happened to his family?"
Reyhan said: "Yes. It was supposed to be because the auditorium of the school where his daughter Noviani was studying collapsed. Noviani was trapped under rubble and slightly injured. Elno did not know the condition of her daughter's injuries, and she also did not dare to call home, so she came home when it was dark."
"By the way, Uncle, you should know Noviani, didn't you save 24 little girls at school?"
Alex suddenly realizes, "Oh yes, the girl's name is Noviani. I can't believe she's Elno's daughter."
Alex thought for a moment before calling Nova. After Nova heard the news, she immediately said: "Alex, if this news is true, we will immediately arrest Elno. You better come here. We'll discuss the arrest plan."
Alex says, "Okay. I'll be there soon."
Alex said to Hengky: "Heng, go to the hospital to protect the safety of your sister-in-law. Reyhan and I are going to the police station."
When Alex arrives at the police station, Nova is waiting for him, "Alex, Inspector Gilang is also here, let's discuss the plan for Elno's arrest."
Nova said: "According to the instructions given by Reyhan. Last night, Elno showed up near her house. The reason he didn't enter the house, I don't think Noviani was discharged from the hospital last night, and a new repatriation procedure was performed this morning. Elno came back this time because she wanted to see her daughter. Therefore, I think he'll be home tonight. We're gonna catch him tonight."
Inspector Gilang asked Nova, "Your plan is to act alone with Alex? Not bringing in troops?"
"Yes." Yeah." Nova answered firmly.
Inspector Gilang said anxiously, "If Elno was a ruthless killer, would you two be in danger?"
Nova says: “Ten easy. If we have a lot of people, the opposite will be difficult. Sir, something's wrong with our team. I'm afraid someone will tell Elno. Only by arresting Elno can we establish Devan's punishment. Please approve."
Inspector Gilang said: "Alright, I approve of your actions. Watch security. Besides, I'll ask the special police on standby to provide assistance at any time."
Nova said: "Last night, I looked through Elno's files. A few years ago, he was already on the run for hitting people with disabilities. However, it is recorded in the file that he is a devoted son and he has an aged mother and also a daughter. Devan must have given him a lot of money to run abroad when he last helped Devan blow up the factory. The reason he didn't leave was definitely because he missed his family back home. How could he possibly be willing to go on such a futile journey if he did not see his mother and daughter?"
Alex agrees with Nova's thoughts. Inspector Gilang said, "Alright, may you succeed. We can punish Devan after capturing Elno."
In the afternoon, Alex and Nova follow Reyhan to East Jakarta and have dinner at Wendy's house.
After it gets dark, Alex and Nova secretly come to Elno's house. Nova didn't dare park the car near Elno's house. He knew that such people must be very sensitive.
Nova discovered there was a two-story commercial building about fifty meters from Elno's house. The two quietly climbed to the top of the building, where they could see into the house of Elno who was below from fifty meters away. "Here tonight. If Elno doesn't come home tonight, then there's something wrong with my analysis. I'll adjust it on time tomorrow and reassemble another plan."
