Chaptre 35. Elena's Surprise
Fei's surprised. He quickly decapitated the monster in front of him and turned around to see what was happening. It turned out that Elena had not been attacked by monsters at all. However, he looked soullessly at the entrance of the dark cave located far away. His body was stiff, and his hand that was holding the bow trembled uncontrollably. Tears dripped onto his pale face as he stared at the blackened object.
Fei's worried. He rushed to Elena. As he gets closer, he discovers that the blackened object is the corpse of a mischievous woman.
The body was wearing a rough leather suit common to female rogues. She had red hair as well, but looked younger than Elena; about 17 years old. He must have been tortured by monsters while he was still alive. His chest was open, and his heart was gone. Elena lost the strength to stand up. Since Fei has memories of the original game, he chose a path that directs them directly to 【Dark】 Wood instead of going to the second level of 【Underground Passage】.
It was brighter, similar to when Fei and Elena first exited the portal from 【Underground Passage】 to 【Dark Wood】.
【Darkwood】 is not too dark. There are more grasses and trees than 【Blood Moor】 and 【Cold Plain】 although it is not close to the forest at all.
Rain falls from the sky. Fei looked into the distance and found a crowd of monsters and demons. They're much more aggressive. When they saw two people emerge from the portal, they started attacking towards them and shouted loudly.

A barrage of ice arrows shot out as if they were bullets from a machine gun.
"Whir, whir, whir"
Under the slaughter of these two mad warriors, monsters and demons died as fast as they did.
Fei and Elena destroyed the monsters as if they were skilled farmers harvesting their crops.
A miserable scream filled the forest. The two of them quickly approached the 50-yard (50 m) giant withered tree while stepping on the monster's flesh and blood.
It was the Inifuss tree.
There's a pile of rotten bodies under the tree. Flocks of flies hover above them. There were even some corpses hanging on the tree branches, dripping blackened blood and pus. The stench around the tree could easily make anyone vomit. The scene was like hell.
Fei squeezed his nose as he slowly approached the tree, and then gently touched it.
"Pa!"
A white parchment scroll slid down from the tree.
Fei took it and opened it. There was a large circle drawn with a kind of reddish-black material similar to blood. The circle contained a five-point star and mysterious symbols covered the rest of the scroll. It seemed like it was one of those magic scrolls, but Fei could not understand anything.
“Looks like I have to translate it by Akara. ”
Fei threw it into 【Item Slot】 and also picked up some valuable items dropped by monsters. He then used 【City】 Portal Scroll, and the blue portal appeared again.
Fei turned around and signaled Elena who was guarding him to follow him to the portal. However, a shocked expression appeared on Elena's face again.
"This ...... is 【City】 Portal Scroll?"
Elena's voice trembled, as if she couldn't believe her eyes.
