Chapter 43: The War Finally Begins

For the weapons. Frame Gear Rin is equipped with a curved crystal blade, and Kyou is equipped with several crystal gloves. I also made weapons out of phrasium for Lain, Nikola and Norn.

"So, this is how we're gonna do it." I said to close the conversation on strategy.

"Relieve the situation at each of your locations and take appropriate action. If you see anything unusual or suspicious, call me right away. Any question?"

As I waited for an answer, one of the knights raised his hand.

"I've heard that there are some Failers that can fly in the air. How do we deal with them?"

"I will fight them. Try to avoid serious damage. If your Rescue Frames are damaged too badly, you will be sent back here. But if your cockpit is destroyed in person, you won't be able to be sent back here in time, so keep your Frame Rescue chest protected."

Each commander began to climb the Knight Baron each after I explained the strategy.

The soldiers are divided into A Squad, B Squad, C Squad, D Squad and E Squad. Another joined A Squad, Rin joined B Squad, Kyou joined C Squad, Nikola joined D Squad and Norn joined E Squad.

Haku, Kougyoku, Kaku, Luli and Kaitur also boarded with five representatives of Glory.

They will be able to mediate between me and the army.

Kazumi, Kazuo and Baba were stationed at WB just in case. If something bad happens, they will definitely contact me.

I started chanting [Gate] spells and moved Squad A, Squad B, Squad C, Squad, D and Squad E to their respective locations.

I also joined the battle with A Squad.

Kaku, Kougyoku, Kaitur, Luli and Haku report for duty in front of me.

I looked at my map to confirm where the Failer was. Then, I took out a tool given by Liora.

Is it true that in such a small thing there is the voice of their leader.

"I hope this thing works well." I muttered as I broke an object that resembled a little ruler of a schoolboy.

"Huh."

No sound came out.

I anxiously began to stare at the map, and saw that all the Failers in the Slave had stopped moving. After a while, they all started charging towards me. 

Seems successful. It seemed that whatever sound the Sovereign made, it was beyond human comprehension.

Of all the Failers heading towards me, some of them were moving faster than others.

"Show any type of flying Failer with yellow pin!"

{Succeed. One thousand forty-three flying Failers detected.}

The pins of some of the Failers heading towards us started turning yellow.

It seems they are not too many. This way, my work will be finished quickly.

Frame Rescue could not fly, so I had no choice but to fight them myself. 

I took out two great swords from [Storage] while preparing my energy and also mentally.

"Kougyoku, I'll kill the flying Failer that's headed this way. The first landline failer will appear in about fifteen minutes."

"understood. Please be careful, sir."

I sent a telepathic message to Kougyoku, who was with Lain.

"Well, it's time to give them a little show."

I started chanting the [Fly] spell and went gliding to meet the flying Failer.

The battle has finally begun.

I passed several Failers flying at high speed, slashing at them and piercing the core. One by one the flying Failers began to fall down after the core was destroyed.

I looked down and saw a group of Failers being kicked to the ground. I also have no choice but to trust Lain and the others to fight them.

My role here, first and foremost, is to kill the flying Failer. I'm very lucky because there's no medium-flying Failer.

I soared through the sky, killing another group of flying Failers, then slid down to kill the many Failers that were above the surface.

I kept my map open so I could keep track of all of them. The group of Failers that were the furthest away had already started to move towards this direction.

"Prepare everything, the Battle at point A is about to begin." I said to squad member A, Gardio.

I opened [Gate] and arrived at point B. Rin's group was there on standby.

"I'll start calling the Failer towards me. Prepare everyone to fight!"

My plan was to have Kaku deliver the message to Rin, and then have Rin pass the message on to the others.

I saw all the Rescue Frames start brandishing their weapons and felt a sense of pride from within them as they raised the greatsword.

I took the tool that amazed me from my breast pocket again and broke it straight away.

On my map view, the Failer that was moving towards point A split slightly, a group of them now headed towards point B. Many of them stopped and started heading to this location. There were no more flying types between them, so they all moved at the same speed.

"Search. Show current number of Phrases!"

{Succeed. Nineteen thousand seven hundred and forty-two Failer}

The number on the screen has started to decrease rapidly. That was because the battle at point A had already begun.

I used [Fly] to perch on the shoulder of Frame Rescue Rin.

"The fileer's gonna be here in a few minutes, okay? I'm counting on you."

"I understand. You can count on me."

After talking to Rin for a while, I decided to move back to point C.

When I got there, without a second thought, I immediately broke the third tool.

The Failers that were at points A and B started to split again towards me.

"Kyou's. Failer will be here soon."

"Understand."

"I'm counting on you here."

"Just calm down."

After getting answers that made me happy, I started moving again to point D where Nikola was.

"Your Majesty."

"Yoo. Is the situation here okay?"

"There were some knights who were a little frightened but we managed to convince them that we must win."

Understandably if they were a little afraid, those who usually only fight criminals now were instead told to fight thousands of monsters from other worlds.

"I'm glad they've got their confidence again."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

"Oh yeah. I'll call Failer here, get the knights to start preparing."

"Good." After Nikola answered, he immediately ran towards the other knights.

There's no more time.

I took out the fourth and broke it.

When I look at the map. Failers at points B and C began to spread and headed here.

Looks like it went well.

"Nicola. Failer's on his way here."

"Well, Your Majesty."

He answered my words while pointing his great weapon forward. Not only him, but all the knights there were ready for battle.

Looks like they'll be fine.

"I'll say goodbye first. Lead the army here well, Nikola!"

"Execute. You please be careful, Your Majesty."

"Just calm down." My answer.

After making sure squad D troops were ready to fight, I decided to go to point E.

After arriving, it turned out that there were some knights who were fighting.

"What is this. Why are they fighting?"

"Your Majesty!?" Answer Norn's surprise with my sudden appearance.

"A-there are some knights who want to escape out of fear, but are stopped by our knights."

As I looked at them, their faces all looked extremely frightened, they also rebelled in their grasp.
