Chapter 4: Intensive Training
In Chapter 4, we will explore Rara and Hans' journey in the face of the challenges of public speaking. They enter an intensive training phase, where they engage in various opportunities to deepen their skills in public speaking. In this chapter, we will see how Rara brings Hans to various events, seminars, and simulation exercises to help Hans gain confidence and overcome the nervousness and uncertainty that may arise.
Rara realized the importance of honing her public speaking skills, especially for Hans who was developing his career in communication. Eagerly, Rara arranged an intensive training schedule for the two of them. They began by attending seminars related to communication and leadership, where Hans could gain new insights and knowledge. At the seminars, Hans learned about effective speaking techniques, good speech structure, and how to manage nervousness when performing in public.
In addition to attending seminars, Rara also takes Hans to more casual social events but still allows Hans to practice speaking in front of a crowd. They attend community gatherings, small parties, and even charity events. Rara is convinced that by getting used to talking in front of the crowd in a more relaxed atmosphere, Hans will be more confident and can overcome nervousness.
However, Rara also realized that theory and practical experience alone were not enough. Hans needed more intensive simulation exercises to deal with real situations. Therefore, Rara arranged an exercise where the two of them would do a speech in front of a small group. In this exercise, Hans can feel the sensation of speaking in the presence of an observing person and giving direct feedback.
Slowly but surely, Hans began to feel a marked improvement in his public speaking skills. The nervousness that once haunted Hans gradually began to diminish, replaced by a greater sense of confidence. Through intense practice, Hans learned to control his voice, use proper body language, and build an emotional bond with his audience.
Not only that, Hans also learned to overcome the uncertainty that often arises before and during public speaking. He learns to prepare well, conduct in-depth research, and practice as much as possible before performing in front of a crowd. The more frequently Hans speaks in public, the better his skills will be at delivering messages clearly and effectively.
This chapter 4 illustrates how important intensive training is in developing public speaking skills. Through this journey, Hans learned that the opportunity to practice and speak in public was an important step in overcoming nervousness and increasing confidence. Rara continued to support and encourage Hans during this process, and together they proved that intensive practice and perseverance will bring significant progress in public speaking skills.
