Chapter 6: Enticement

Alvin came out of his study with a fresh appearance. All the clothes of his assistant's blood had been burned without the slightest residue. He also found his daughter who was still cool with her lover, until he did not realize he had returned home.

"Hmm .. so nice of you two. To the extent that, you are not aware of my arrival." Calista who heard that immediately sparkled. Felix who saw his lover's father bowed respectfully.

"Good night, Mr. Alvin." Alvin nodded and looked at his daughter warmly.

"I'm relieved, Papa's back from the police station. I thought, Papa's gonna be in jail there." The daughter pursed, recalling the incident at the Lotus Shop.

"Of course not, baby. No one would dare to imprison Papa." Alvin kissed his daughter.

"really? If someone wants Papa to go to jail, what?" Calista looked at the investigating father.

"You take it easy, Calista. That's not gonna happen. They would be destroyed if they happened. Oh yeah, Papa can you borrow your girlfriend for a second?" Calista nodded in spirit.

"Felix, be good with my Papa huh." Felix nodded.

"I love you, Pa. I'll go to the room first, bye." Calista kissed his father's face and went into his room.

"Felix." Felix turned his gaze from Calista to Alvin.

"We're talking in my room." Alvin walked back into his study, followed by Felix.

"What's the need, sir?" Alvin grunting.

"You are, you can't talk. I have a request for you." Felix frowning.

"What request?" tanyakanya.

"I want you to find out, the man who spread the footage in my apartment. I also want you to find out where this girl is." Alvin handed Felix a picture of Clara.

"Who is he?" Felix asked while looking at Clara's photo.

"Name Clara. How much time do you need?" Felix looked at Alvin flatly.

"Give me two days. I'll let you know." Alvin nodded.

"If you've found Clara, can you frame her?" Felix looked confused.

"Act like you can be trusted by him. Once you've earned his trust, bring him before me." Felix keeps a photo of Clara in his pants pocket.

"Are you sure I can trust this girl?" Alvin grinning.

"Why? Wasn't that your expertise all along? You used that way to gain your enemy's trust. Am I right?" Felix took a breath. This man before him was truly terrifying yet, he was not afraid at all. However, he cannot fight Alvin because Alvin controls BIN. The leader told him to obey whatever Alvin asked.

"All right, I'll do it." Alvin smiles triumphantly and hands the money to Felix.

"That's money for this job. The rest, I'll transfer through the account." Felix nodded.

"Is there anything else I need to do?" Alvin shakes.

"You can go." Felix bowed respectfully and walked out of Alvin's study.

"Felix, where are you going?" ask Calista.

"I'm going home for a minute, Calista. I don't think we can meet for a while. Sorry, I have a job." Calista pursed her lips.

"Alright, please work. Even if I miss you for a while, I can't ban you." Felix smiled and kissed Calista's forehead, making Calista blush.

"Don't cheat on me, yeah." Calista nodded.

"Learn college. May you achieve your goals" Felix said.

"Thank you, I'll see you." Calista and Felix waved each other's hands. Felix gets into his car and leaves Alvin's mansion.

Felix stared at Clara's photo while driving.

"Beautiful," he murmured. Felix and Calista love each other when introduced by Alvin first, when Felix comes to Alvin's mansion. He was introduced as Alvin's secretary to Calista and her mother. However, he felt it was only the first time he felt his heart racing as he stared at the photo of Clara. He had never felt his heartbeat this fast when he was with Calista.

"I'd be a jerk if I liked you, when I had a boyfriend. If only we'd known each other a long time ago." Felix keeps back a photo of Clara in his pants pocket.

Clara, David, and Rendy are now in a special room to relax.

"So, what's the matter with you to see me?" ask Clara. Rendy hesitated to speak directly to Clara.

"I feel like I've wrongly arrested someone based on videotaped evidence. I also don't know who sent the video to me. I also just found out, if Mr. Alvin is the chairman of the mafia after hearing the story from David." Clara plays a ballpoint pen on her left finger.

"Ekhem, don't be long-winded. You want something, don't you?" David smiled faintly. Clara was quite sensitive in capturing someone's intent.

"I want to ask for help, make sure my family is not touched by Mr. Alvin." Clara was quiet for a moment.

"You want me to take care of your family?" Rendy nodded.

"What can you give me in return?" Rendy.

"I'll give you whatever you want." Clara laughs.

"What about your life?" Rendy gulped down his saliva heavily. David rolled his eyes bored. This superior likes to play with someone's psychic.

"Hey, don't be afraid. I was just kidding. I'll grant your wish, I'll keep your family from Mr. Alvin. Nothing in this world is free." Rendy breathed a sigh of relief even though she had to pay a heavy price to Clara.

"Make sure, no one broke into the security of company data, my personal data, and so on. Can you?" Rendy nodded for sure.

"Well, if you're going to betray. I'll make it easier for Mr. Alvin to target your family. Understood?" Rendy nodded back.

"good. This job is the easiest for you. You can leave now, I have to finish my job." David and Rendy bowed and turned towards the door.

"For you, Rendy. If anyone breaks into it, just report it to me." Rendy turned to face Clara.

"You can trust me, Miss Lydia. Excuse me." Clara nodded and continued typing the report on her laptop.

Drrtt....

"Hello, what's wrong?" ask Clara.

"I sent the video to the police station. You promised you'd protect me, didn't you?" ask the young man who delivered the package.

"You take it easy, I'll make sure no one comes near you" Clara said casually.

"Welcome to hell, traitor." The young man across there looked surprised however, before asking further. He bounced into the lake under the bridge that he poked. His life will not be helped and just wait for the news that will broadcast his death.

"Nobody will come near you, now. You can go quietly, asshole."

2 Days later....

Felix comes to Alvin's office and is greeted by a bodyguard standing guard in front. A female secretary named Naomi welcomes Felix.

"Good morning, Mr. Felix. I'll take you to Mr. Alvin's room." Felix nodded and followed his secretary into Alvin's room.

"So, what did you find this time?" ask Mr. Alvin.

"I checked the CCTV in your apartment. If it is not wrong, there are people who take packages to your room. Right, right?" Alvin cupped his chin with his left hand.

"really. He's the one who spread the tape?" Felix nodded.

"Current, brash. He also sent terror to me with the package. The deliveryman worked with Clara because there was a letter from Clara in it. For that, I'm asking you to find out Clara's whereabouts. Did you find him?" Felix handed over all the data and photos belonging to Clara.

"You'll be surprised after seeing it." Alvin frowned and opened the contents of the envelope.

"Clara and Lydia Alcander are the same person. He's the owner of Lyd Lotus." Alvin glared and grinned.

"Finally, I found you."

"I want you to work for his company. Oh yeah, you didn't leave a trace when you hacked, did you?" Felix shook his head.

"good. You can go now." Felix bowed and left Alvin's office.
