I'M THE KING

I'M THE KING
Goodbye

The Oracle shield that protected the bodies of Reka and Zasa from the lightning strike slowly shone and disappeared as well as the Cruel Judge sword Devan was holding back then, the two weapons seemed to slowly disappear along with the killing of all those people. Devan walked over to the bodies of Reka and Zasa. Devan stayed beside the two bodies.

"Go away from here!" shouted one of the policemen.

Dor's!

Dor's!

Residents who heard the gunshots were a little shocked, though they gathered far away from the scene. They were delighted when they found out the thugs had disappeared from the territory.

"Finally, we're free!"

The cheers of the residents dispersed after seeing the incident. They could live quietly now, without the fear they had been feeling all along.

The man in full military clothes walked towards Devan who was more than 500 meters away from the platoon. He carefully approached Devan who was just sitting limp with a blank look.

"Commander, don't go there. That guy is dangerous!" yelled at the wrong member warning him.

"Be quiet, are you all blind? that guy didn't even threaten us,"

Hearing the angry screams from his commander all the members who had been noisy became silent. The commander walked slowly facing Devan.

"Include me Jack, the head of this platoon" said Jack firmly.

Devan was silent with a blank look, he seemed to be indifferent to what the man said.

"Young man, how can I know your name if you just keep quiet" with a little smile Jack tried to get closer to Devan.

"Shut up!"

"Your son ..."

"Be quiet, what's the point of introducing yourself this time!" Shouted Devan loudly.

"I just want to help you" Jack patiently tried to calm Devan down.

Hearing those words, Devan was silent for a moment. Devan looked at his two bloodied hands, Devan laughed as he clasped his hands as if trying to hold back his anger.

Jack could only fall silent at that moment, he realized his mistake. If he had known this earlier, perhaps at least two of the girls would not have been victims. Seeing such a heartbreaking sight, without even being told, people would know what was happening.

The atmosphere became tense, the platoon members could only wait from a distance and could not hear what they were talking about.

"helpful? don't joke you fuck. Too late, it's too late." With a sharp look Devan like he wanted to vent his emotions to Jack.

Devan was shocked when he saw that the person standing not far from him was crying. All of his anger seemed to disappear after seeing that. Devan threw away his eyes and could only be silent after that.

"I just want a decent funeral for these two girls" Devan said.

"They are both Reka and Zasa, they are brothers and sisters who are victims of the uncivilized exploitation of humans." Devan's hand pointed towards the large hole of the former lightning strike.

"I'm sorry." Jack lowered his head, "If there were no enemies in the blanket and if only I were more competent then none of this would happen" he said, bowing behind Devan.

"Jack, I want the funeral process to be done immediately" Devan answered briefly.

"At least, let me know your name young man."

"Devan, Devano Devan."

"Come with me, Devan, change your clothes in proper clothes. It's not polite to go to the cemetery in such blood-soaked clothes" Jack said, holding Devan's shoulder.

"Let me take this little girl," Jack told Devan.

Jack, who was holding Zasa, walked towards the platoon. He quickly leads Devan to the platoon.

"You guys, hurry up and call an ambulance and immediately do a proper funeral for these two girls" he shouted to the platoon.

"Ready sir" said all the platoon members.

"Do a closed funeral and keep it away from the media" Jack shouted.

"Ready sir, carry it out!"

At 17:00, Devan showed the burial place next to their mother and father. A small debate ensues while searching for a burial place but after hearing Devan's reasoning, Jack finally agrees.

Devan puts the last flower before the coffin closes. Devan looked at the faces of the two of them, he tried hard to give a smile at the end of the meeting. But no matter how hard Devan tried, Devan's tears kept dripping down his cheeks.

After the coffin was closed, Jack gave the signal to immediately bury the two of them. Devan sprinkled flowers on top of the coffin. The funeral was carried out only by some of the people responsible for the funeral, Devan and Jack.

"Hey Reka, Zasa do you still hear me? I realized that parting was painful, but I didn't expect it to hurt like this."

"Reka, I'm so sorry. Maybe if I hadn't seen you that night, maybe you could still be joking with Zasa."

Devan wept bitterly as he lamented at the graves of the two girls. He tried not to show his weak side, but how hard he endured the grief would always defeat him.

"Do you remember when we joked together, when we ate together. I thought I was too stupid, I didn't realize that the time we spent together was the most wonderful time I ever had."

"Hey Reka, Zasa what should I do now. I'm so lonely, there's no place to go home for me. I have no brothers, no parents, no friends."

"I'm sorry if it wasn't for me if it wasn't for me." cried Devan.

"Pacify yourself, young man, please let them both be. Please don't mourn the tomb like that, I'm sorry for all the events that happened to them both" said Jack, holding Devan's shoulder. He tried to win Devan when his tears poured out to see it all.

...***...

At 18:00 the sky turned dark, one by one the tomb manager said goodbye and went home. Only Devan and Jack remain in the tomb.

"Then what are you going to do from now on, young man" Jack told Devan.

"So, I don't know either" Devan said.

"Hey what if you join my platoon, there will be many privileges for you. You no longer need to live in the shadows if you want to join my platoon, I will take full responsibility for you" Jack assured Devan.

"Thank you Jack for everything, but for now please leave me alone" Devan said limply and resignedly.

"At least, take this young man. This is my personal phone number."

"Young people, do what you like, but remember not to stray from the path of virtue. I don't want our next meeting to be an enemy" Jack told Devan. Jack left the funeral.

"I'm sorry if I'm troubling you." Devan bowed to Jack who was about to leave.

"It's nothing young, it's my duty." Jack walked away, he raised his hand as if to signal that he was leaving the cemetery.
