The application of this glaze material can be done by dyed, sprayed, poured, or polished with a brush onto a ceramic surface evenly. The function of glazing on ceramics is to add beauty, so that it is more watertight, and add certain effects as desired. Fire clays are a type of clay that has a high refractivity of 1,600 °C and is suitable for use in fireplace construction, firebox, and other applications that require high temperatures such as the Metal processing industry. It usually consists of kaolinite, halloysite, and other minerals that provide good heat-resistant properties. Fire clays are also often used in the production of ceramics and other materials exposed to high temperatures. It is found in various locations around the world and can be processed to produce different types of fireproof clay products.

Stoneware Clay is a fairly plastic Clay, hard, and not porous almost like a rock. Getting its name because of its quality that is like a stone. Stoneware clay is mostly clay-ball based, not and not kaolin-based. In addition, like Fireclay, Stoneware Clay also has a high hot spot that is 1100 to 1200 ⁰C. Stoneware Clay became a popular clay used for tableware such as Pot.
