I WAS TRASH

I WAS TRASH
The Part 29

Alex and the others began to move in the footsteps of the disgruntled Resca who had been wandering around there. They were so cautious, occasionally hiding behind walls to see the situation.

"Faith," said Reca lirih.

They also ended up running small when they saw some places there were so safe. But of course, that didn't last long. They almost got out and got caught by them. Apparently, they had gathered somewhere.

"Wine! They were there. We have to go out there to get out" said Resca.

"Is there no other way out?" Ask Alex.

"There, chairman. But, it will be very dangerous because it is located close to their headquarters" he replied.

"Remember the saying, the most dangerous place is the safest place. They wouldn't think we'd go there" Alex said.

"What you say is true. We should try it."

The review also points out other alternative paths. Closer, but also more dangerous. Luckily, the base is empty. They were all busy looking for their whereabouts. They managed to escape until they were right in front of the gate.

"All right, for now we're safe."

Alex sent his subordinates to step outside first, especially those who carried critical people on their backs.

Tettt...

The alarm went off when Nero first stepped over the border. An invisible scan escaped our sight. Some of their teams seemed to be starting to deploy troops, clearly heard from their increasingly rapid footsteps. Alex and the others were getting more panicked at this moment.

"Quick! Hurry along!" Alex screeches them to speed up his pace. He also helped some men who were no longer able to lift the weight of their colleagues on their backs. Alex did it in turn.

No no no...

They accelerated his pace. While running, they looked back occasionally, ascertaining the distance between them.

Alex and the others ran down the stairs leading to the basement just for transit. That's the only way that connects with the open exit in the back area.

"Master, where is this?" Resca asked when faced with two twin aisles inside the basement.

Clotch clotch...

The sound of their footsteps was clearly heard due to the zinc material used to build them. Alex is confused to decide which one to choose. If he chooses wrongly, he'll be stuck there. Of course, that will take up a lot of their time.

"Speed up your steps! We have to catch that snot boy and those baj*ngan men!" Called their commander.

Alex was panicking there.

Relax, Alex. Breathe and think carefully. Don't sacrifice anyone here,~Batin Alex in heart.

"Lord, please give us a hint." This is the first time Alex asked the creator of everything after the incident that happened to him and Russell at that time.

When Alex thinks hard, he accidentally sees a painting that might be a clue for him. God was so good to her this time. With Alex's sincere heart, everyone was convinced they would survive under his command.

Alex looked at the painting carefully. Quickly, Alex had been able to remember everything. He hoped that what he saw this time was a map of the underground passageway that they would pass through.

No no no...

The sound of the enemy's footsteps was getting closer. Alex was immediately aware. He walked in front of all of his troops, including Resca who had pointed the way to the underground.

They dare not answer. Answering is tantamount to exposing their position. "As much as possible, walk calmly. Don't make a noise."

"Chairman, maybe we better take off our footwear. That way, it will not cause such a sharp sound effect when we run," suggested a subordinate.

"yes too. All right, everybody, get off your footwear now. However, beware. It's so dark and the possibility of broken glass is everywhere. I don't want you to get hurt and hamper our journey."

Alex had to say a lot this time. He hated it so much, but the lives of a handful of people there depended on his every decision.

...*...*...

Alex and the others continued to dwell in the dark passageway. They were almost frustrated being trapped in that endless room.

"Chairman, let's stop for a moment. Poor they are tired like that" said Nero when he saw his comrades-in-arms who began to almost run out of breath.

Alex turned his eyes towards them. It's true, however, they are human even though Alex does not know clearly how they can join a gang.

"Alright, besides, the sound of their footsteps is not heard."

Alex and the others chose to take a break. They look lethargic and limp, they have not eaten a mouthful of rice until this moment.

"I'm sorry. Because of me, all of you are caught in this situation. I'm sure you know about my latest mission and the punishment I get if I refuse. But, not for the sake of protecting my life, I'm risking your lives instead" said Alex feeling guilty.

Nero stood up and walked over to Alex.

"Chairman, we've been in this world for a long time. We have been trained to dare to die. In our opinion, the chairman is the best chairman for us."

Aron suddenly showed signs that he was conscious.

"Young gentlemen? Young master is it okay?" The first thing he said after coming to his senses was to ask his young master's condition.

"I'm gapapa, uncle. Look, I'm still so hot!" Alex showed his side so strong. Unfortunately, their arrogance could not last long.

"Commander, where are we going?!" Ask the man who is getting frustrated.

"Stupid! You guys who can't catch him and now blame me instead? Look at those Zumba brothers' Frogs, they're not complaining at all" said the burly man.

"Then, why don't we just report to the big boss? Let them handle it."

"You've been in this white tiger gang for how long?"

The man fell silent as he recalled the treatment of their big boss when they failed to execute the mission. They choose not to return before their goal is achieved. It's a risk to them.

Alex, who had the sharpest eyesight and hearing among them, immediately got up and started to look panicked.

"Nero, Reca and others. Not that I meant interrupting your rest. But, they've started heading this way" Alex said.

"What?! That fast?!" Scream them together.

Alex nodded. "However they chose this place to hold the woman. Meaning, they should have understood the area right here."

"What he said made sense."

"All right, let's go!" Nero's words burned their spirits to make them smolder. It was evident by their much different spirit than before.
