It was late afternoon and they were still gathered in the guest room with their own activities.
"Will it rain outside?" Annabeth glanced out the window.
"It's certain that the river will rise tomorrow morning" he continued, which made Stave stop his chess game.
"I don't think you need to think about it" interrupted Stave who was sitting on the floor.
"Again the danger of playing there, too," he continued, which made Peter glance at him.
"What happened to you Stave, only this time I heard you say such a thing," Peter straightened his body as Stave said that.
"Nothing happened, everything was fine" Stave tidied up his chess and closed it.
"You guys just keep going I'll go back to the room." Stave immediately left from there and walked towards his room on the second floor.
Stave went into his room and he lay in his bed staring up at the ceiling.
"It looks like I'm mistaken, alright Stave don't think of anything unimportant!" Stave was talking to himself.
On the eve of the evening the Jouvalines sat in the dining room together for dinner, the four of them having dinner in silence as usual.
"I'm done," Stave sidelines between their silences.
"You only ate a few spoons?" look at Phyllis with a confused face because she feels strange to her sister.
"No problem, you guys just go ahead." Stave left there and he returned to his room to continue his painting.
Peter and his sisters looked at each other and they continued their dinner.
"Peter, do you think Stave got weird after he came out of the woods?" ask Annabeth who made Peter think.
"It seems like he just wants to paint in his room," Phyllis looked at the two of them.
"I think he got a good idea for his painting this time" explains Phyllis who was taken by the two of them.
After finishing dinner Phyllis and Peter played guessing words from the Latin words in the dictionary, of course it was a very boring game for Annabeth, especially for Stave, he would rather sleep than follow the play of both of them.
"Why do you always play guessing words like that, you are really boring" said Annabeth who looked at them while leaning on the old chair there.
"It's not better if we play charades like this, it can add to your insight Anna" Peter explained with a small smile on his youngest brother.
"You go ahead, I want to see Stave." Annabeth got off the chair and ran to Stave's room not far away.
Upon arriving in front of Annabeth's room saw Stave from a small blemish and she saw Stave who was focusing on his painting, Annabeth slowly entered the room, a room that she thought was very neat but creepy.
"What's Anna?" ask Stave without turning around.
"You know it was me" Annabeth sat on her brother's bed.
"Peter and Phyllis were playing the word guess is very boring," Annabeth explained while looking at Stave's painting.
"Isn't it better if you study with them?" stave asked without looking at Annabeth sitting next to him.
"My age is 10 years old why should I study as hard as they do?" Annabeth kept staring at her brother even if Stave didn't look at her once.
"Stave what are you painting?" ask Annabeth who made Stave stop his activities.
"I don't know either" replied Stave, putting his brush on the paper on the floor.
"It's just so scary" interrupted Annabeth who noticed Stave's painting.
"True, I don't think I should continue," Stave stood up from there tidying up his tools on the floor.
After tidying up all his belongings, Stave and Annabeth walked into the room where Peter and Phyllis were still playing charades.
"Is the game not boring?" ask Annabeth when she enters the room.
"You should join Anna," Phyllis asked with a smile on her sister.
"No thanks for your offer" Annabeth sat down the old chair she was sitting in before she went to Stave's room.
"Is your painting finished?" peter asked who saw Stave sitting quietly by the window.
"Stave told me that he didn't want to continue" Annabeth interrupted, which made Peter look at her.
"Why?" now Phyllis looked at Stave by the window.
"The painting is too creepy even Stave himself doesn't know what he's painting," as usual Annabeth will explain everything to Peter and Phyllis when Stave doesn't want to talk.
"Peter I think across the river there's something" Annabeth said, making Stave look at her.
"Something?" ask Peter and Stave at the same time.
"I think the forest fairies are there!" annabeth shouted with passion but her spirit was just stared flat by Stave.
"All right, we'll explore again tomorrow" Peter smiled as Annabeth grew excited about her exploration.
"Do we have a picnic in the woods tomorrow?" bargain Phyllis who makes them more excited.
"Of course Phyllis, let's do it!" yelled Annabeth with a burning spirit.
The night passed so quickly that the morning sun rose and the light slowly entered the room. This morning Stave woke up faster and now he saw Peter who had started sports in front of the house.
"Do you want to run?" stave asked that made Peter turn around and look at him.
"Of course, do you want to join?" peter's bargain is possessed by Stave.
The two of them started running even their route was connected to the forest, because running around the forest was very good. The two of them ran for quite a while, after passing through the cattle ranch they ended up in the forest and they both continued to run nonstop.
"Are you tired of Stave?" ask Peter who likened his pace to Stave.
"Lie if I say no" replied Stave who ran small because it was not strong.
"We can rest again your tree house is not far from here." suggested Peter who only stared at Stave.
On arrival at the tree house Stave lay down because he had run out of energy there, while Peter was downstairs and still doing sports.
"It's like you're not tired Pet" Stave sidelines as he sits in his tree house.
"I'm used to it, it seems you have to get used to Stave." Peter replied to his sister.
Stave was silent and then he daydreamed for a while to recover his energy and soon his gaze was shifted to the river visible from the top of his tree house. Stave rounded his eyes after he saw a black figure standing beside the river, a black figure wearing a robe, his hands and face looking like a skull.
"Did I see wrong?" stave asked what Peter had heard.
"See what Stave?" peter asked with a puzzled face as his sister looked the other way.
"You see anything?" Peter climbed the tree to get to Stave.
"Peter did you see it?" ask Stave who didn't take his eyes off.
"What, I don't see anything?" peter looked confused while paying attention to what Stave noticed.
The shadow also pointed its sharp sword at Stave then it disappeared after showing it.
