KING IN THE NORTH

KING IN THE NORTH
chapter 29 hurt

North Kingdoms.

Such a limit of sanity that is hard to accept....

Olive will not forget how King Alzov promised before walking away leaving him limp helpless. Although the pain was still felt in every inch of his body, surprisingly Olive still hoped that the promise of the man was true.

But two days passed when Olive didn't feel King Alzov cared about her, and Olive began to feel that she might be as worthless as the man's entire promise to her, each time Olive felt stupid and helpless for letting herself hold on to something that didn't make sense. Olive was still sobbing on her bed when a female servant came to check on her.

"I hope you're okay, My Lady."

Olive recognized Gabriel's soft voice, somehow the woman's voice really sounded like a mother's voice to her. Gabriel was like a mother to Olive, and she helped him escape the other day. Olive was relieved to know that her fate did not have to be as good as Edmun's, and suddenly Olive again remembered her other sadness.

The girl came back crying as Gabriel hugged her.

"Calm down, baby."

Olive can only come back sobbing...

"Did King Alzov hurt you? " whispered Gabriel.

Olive did not know what to say while her weak body could only move a little on the bed.

"Trust me dear, you'll be fine, and I'll treat your wounds."

Olive just realized that Gabriel had deliberately come with a set of treatment boxes, Olive did not know ... "What did King Alzov send, Auntie?"

Gabriel shook his head, and somehow it let him down.

Realizing how ruthless King Alzov's heart had left him helpless as a worthless and pitiful creature.

"Did my king ever come back?" ask Gabriel, again.

Olive just shook her head, King Alzov did not appear after that night, Olive herself still felt lost sense if she had to recall the events of that night.

"Let me see your wounds, son."

Olive obediently followed Gabriel's instructions and began to undress her silk.

There are some bluish bruises around Olive's back, although it is not swollen the scar still leaves pain when touched slowly.

"I can't believe King Alzov could have done this to you" Gabriel said.

Olive lay face down as the maid wiped her back with warm water.

"Don't be afraid son, believe me I'll figure out a way to get you out of this place."

"Truly I don't want to make you go along, Aunt Gabriel," for Olive was enough of what happened to Edmund and Prince Keive.

Olive tried to get up to hug Gabriel, as she was relieved that the servant was okay.

Olive herself did not know what else was left of her, even if she still wanted to live, it seemed like the entire misfortune had left her numb. It makes no difference to Olive if she has to die now because or tomorrow because she knows it is impossible to go back to her family again.

"Oh.... Believe me baby, you deserve to be loved" Gabriel could see the young girl's despair.

"Auntie I don't know.... "Olive is crying again.

"Looks like you got a fever, I'd better get you some warm clothes, son."

After giving Olive the clothes and blankets Gabriel seemed relieved it seemed like the girl was starting to fall asleep.

"I'll be back soon to bring you some warm soup, get some rest."

Gabriel walked slowly before closing the door quietly.

"Don't you ever dare try to take her away from me again, Gabriel."

The servant was shocked when he found his king already standing at the end of the hall not far from him.

"Don't think I didn't know you were helping him escape the other day."

"I'm just a waiter, My Lord. Please you can punish me, not that poor girl."

"I still respect you Gabriel, lest you stretch your limits."

Maybe King Alzov wouldn't just let go if someone else did, but Gabriel already thinks of him as his own family even though he's just a servant. She was still the woman who nurtured her from childhood, both herself and Artur had gone through times where Gabriel was the only person they could rely on.

"I just want to keep the rights of Prince Artur, but it seems like you yourself are already very over the line."

"Don't try to remind me of Artur !"

"Until when will you continue to take possession of her?"

"This time I'm serious Gabriel, don't interfere! " cry King Alzov to his old nanny.

"Is losing Claire still not enough for him? "

"Listen, maybe Artur will kill me for this, but I still won't return Olive to him !"

"Don't tell him you care about him, be wise, My Lord.  You've abandoned her to the death that she wants now."

King Alzov's jaw twitched, but, "You won't understand Gabriel."

"I know you very well, My Lord... Now have you ever wanted to see it for yourself without having to send a waitress like you did these few days?"

King Alzov ignored Gabriel's question and left.

Gabriel could only stroke his painful chest, if the big man he had raised could be a little compassionate, perhaps Prince Artrnyapun would also be able to return.
