Hamdan had just finished from the dawn prayer in the mushallah. He sat in the house waiting for the shining morning sun to warm the earth.
Bayu was seen coming out of his room, while Chandra was still curled up with her blanket.
Seeing Hamdan in the house, Bayu approached him, then sat on Hamdan's left side.
"Just returned from the mosque..?" tanya Bayu is friendly.
"Yes." replied Hamdan briefly, looking straight ahead.
"Thank you for all your help, if it wasn't for you, maybe I'd still be shackled in the context of the covenant with that cursed creature.." Sayu sincerely.
"Thank You to Your Rabbi, for He has opened the way of guidance for You, and not everyone gets it." replied Hamdan calmly.
"Yes.. But I want to express my gratitude to you, as the intermediary." Bayu said solemnly.
"Everything.. All can be done because of your desire also to be free from the cursed covenant." replied Hamdan calmly.
"If you may know, you're ready Mala..?" ask Bayu curious.
Hamdan breathed heavily, then turned to Bayu. "I'm Roni's eldest brother, Mala's late husband." replied Hamdan, with a light smile. Then look straight ahead.
Deeeeeeegh..
Bayu's heart skipped a beat, hearing Roni's name as the younger brother of the man who had helped him.
"Rone.. With what should I thank you..? You gave up your wife to be mine, and now your brother has freed me from the snare of the devil that holds you back.. I promise you, I will wake up the biggest mosque in this village in your name.. Just pray that the effort I'm starting goes well.." Bayu groaned in his heart.
Bayu sighed heavily, He felt very embarrassed to face Hamdan, especially he was the older brother of Roni, Mala's late husband.
"Sorry, I have no intention of taking your former sister-in-law away from Roni, while this has not been even 100 days." said Bayu lirih, while lowering his head.
Hamdan smiled faintly. "Everything is outlined, and we just live it.. Please take care of him.. All this time He has been so tired of taking care of my sick sister for months, give her happiness." said Hamdan with a sigh of heaviness.
For a moment, the sound of people cooking from the kitchen, and it was confirmed that Mala was cooking breakfast.
Hadi just came out of his room, he went to the terrace, Kardna saw the shadow of Hamdan and Bayu from behind the window.
"Uncle, what time do we have to move..?" tanya Hadi was still with slightly sleepy eyes.
Then he glanced at Bayu.."Morning Mr. Bayu." he said trying to be friendly.
"For Hadi.. Why rush back, stay here overnight stuff again." Sayu Bayu offers.
"Can't, Hadi there are some important matters in the city that he has to settle, and if at any point He needs your help, are you willing to help him." asked Hamdan with a serious look.
"Of course, with pleasure." replied Bayu quickly, although He himself what help will be needed later.
He yawned, then closed his mouth. "So, uncle goes to the city, uncle wants to go to the International airport, because Uncle will leave again to Egypt" said Hamdan.
Hadi scrunched his forehead.."Want to learn some more, Uncle..?" tanya Hadi was curious.
Hamdan smiled mysteriously, making Hadi curious. "Uncle will marry there, with Egyptian girls, Uncle's college friends while studying in the same campus..". Hamdan replied in a timid tone.
"What...?!" why did Uncle not tell you before, can I take a leave of absence for the uncle.." cried Hadi, a little silly.
"Waaah.. Cool it.. Didn't we get the invitation..?" tanya Bayu enthusiastically. He hopes to attend Hamdan's reception, while taking Mala on her honeymoon, if she wants to.
"Of course I invite, if you want to be able to attend it, there are still 3 weeks left." replied Hamdan increasingly excited.
Hadi seemed to think hard, thinking about the speech problem from Hamdan, about what problems will happen next. He hopes to finish it before his uncle's wedding reception day.
"That's it.. Immediately take a shower, our journey is still long." said Hamdan reminded.
Hadi nodded his head, then told Chandra his father-in-law and Shinta, in order to get ready to return home to the city immediately.
Mala had prepared breakfast for everyone, just waiting for Hadi and Chandra who were still cleaning themselves.
Shinta had just come out of her room. "Why didn't Mom wake me up to help make breakfast" she said softly, as she gently dipped her mother-in-law's cheeks.
"Just have breakfast, you can prepare yourself" Mala replied with a smile.
"Mom.. We're going home this morning.." Shinta replied.
Mala scrunched her forehead. "Why so suddenly..? Even Hadi has not told Mother yet." said Mala with a sad face.
"Don't know Mom, there may be work to do." replied Shinta, then helped Mala prepare breakfast in front of the family room.
When he crosses paths with Hadi, Mala questions what Shinta said just now.
"Yes, Mom.. Excuse me.. There was a sudden affair, and Hadi could not cancel it.." Hadi replied lying, while he also did not know what the real problem was.
Mala just grunted sadly, kinIa had to part with her baby again. "Maybe that's why God gave you a mate so quickly that someone would look after you when I couldn't take care of you with my hands.." Hadi said, Then hugged Mala softly, and kissed her mother's forehead.
Even amazed by Hadi's words, I might have a point in what his son said. A widow's life alone and away from relatives and abundant property will pose a great risk to face.
In addition to the risk of flirtatious eyes, scorn, and also dangerous is a robbery that can come at any time.
Maybe it's time he opened his heart to Bayu slowly.
Hadi released his indentation. "Breakfast yuk Bu, Hadi hungry.." Said Hadi while stroking his stomach spoiled.
"Yes already.. Call the others." said Mala softly.
Then they had breakfast very well.. After breakfast, they say goodbye to return to the city.
Although with a beeat heart, Mala released Hadi's return to take care of her work.
after all were in the car, and waving each other, Hadi's car moved to leave his mother's house.
In the middle of the journey, there is something that really stuck Hadi's heart, and he wanted to say.
"Uncle.. There's something I want to ask." said Hadi while driving.
"What's that..?" Hamdan replied briefly.
"Why didn't Uncle exterminate that accursed creature last night..?" said Hadi impatiently.
"Because it will be Satria's business, Uncle has sent him to goa with the damn kuntilanak." said Hamdan seriously.
"A..what..?" tanya Hadi couldn't believe it.
"Yes.. Satria will be back soon.. And uncle hope, you can attend Uncle's wedding in Egypt, because only you Uncle's family is left." said Hamdan lirih.
"What..? You want to get married in Egypt.?" chandra asked curiously, because she had just heard it.
"Yes.. I hope you come too, with your halal partner." Hamdan quipped.
Chandra smiled wryly, He is still thinking about his terrible fate. Should He move on and out of the shadow of his past.
Meanwhile, Bayu who was looking for work clothes felt confused, because he did not find his backpack near the sofa where he used to sleep all this time.
Mala finds out what Bayu is looking for, and she hands him over to Bayu, a suit of the man's work clothes.
"This is what you're looking for..?" he said softly, while giving up the clothes.
Bayu turned to the voice of the woman who greeted him, without both hands holding the clothes he was looking for.
Bayu smiled sumringah.."Thanks.." Say Bayu, then grab it.
"If you are looking for your clothes, look for them in the room, because I have moved them there." Mala replied by lowering her head, then immediately left.
But Bayu called him. "Wait, does that mean I can move all the clothes in my house here.?" ask Bayu seriously.
Mala immediately stopped her steps, then turned her head with a gaze that refracted her two eyes.
At once Bayu grimaced, then hurriedly entered the room and copied his clothes.
