A Very Painful Rejection

Hearing that Laura laughed made Louis confused by Laura's attitude, "I appreciate you? Didn't I hear wrong with what you said. I can't possibly marry you, you haven't parted with Felia how I can believe what you're saying, Louis."

"I told you to wait for Felia to arrive in Indonesia and I will solve my problems, then I can marry you after my affair with Felia is over."

"That's it. I'm tired of arguing with you I want to take a break." Louis sat back on the sofa as he watched Laura leave.

Tania who from earlier eavesdropped on their conversation so bad, because from earlier she saw her boss had a fight with her lover. Tania brought a glass of water for Louis and put the glass down.

"Master is okay?" tanya Tania was sitting down while Louis was on the sofa.

Louis smiled as his housekeeper worried about him, "I'm fine Tania. You keep working just don't think about me."

Tania nodded and she returned to work, on the other hand Nia always paid little attention to Edbert but the man's reaction was still indifferent. Nia comes to Edbert's room with a cup of coffee, Edbert who is seriously working on the office report did not hear Nia coming.

Without any sound from Nia, the woman did not leave at all she still looked at the handsome man who was in front of her.

"Father if you are serious gini more handsome. It's not wrong that I like this guy." Nia's mind kept looking at Edbert.

Edbert positioned his body to accidentally see Nia, the woman was busy daydreaming without hearing her voice from earlier.

"It!" Nia was aware as the sound of baritone echoing in this room entered her mind, and she saw the eyes of the man staring at her sharply.

"I-yes sir." said Nia made the man lean on the back of the chair.

"You didn't hear my voice Nia? Why are you in my room, instead you still have a lot of work to do besides daydreaming here."

"Ma-sorry sir. I came to my room to deliver coffee for my father."

"Coffee? Isn't this not your job? This task should have been given OB instead of you working on it" Edbert said as he glanced at the glass on the table and saw the tray in Nia's hand.

"Have you returned to work, next time do not do a job that is not your duty. What is later you even used by others Nia." said Edbert again made Nia nod.

The woman returned to her original place, just as Nia came out of her private room she heard a phone call. The look on her face changed when she saw Felia contacting her.

"Dad how are you? How's dad doing in there all right?" ask Felia from behind the phone screen.

"Yes, my dear is fine. How you there you like to live there, are you now used to taking care of your own company."

"Yes I'm happy here, but I miss my dad too, I miss Alfred."

"I miss you, too, Felia. Oh yeah when you come back and take care of your farewell letter with Louis." said Edbert who was a little curious about Felia's answer.

Since Felia left, her daughter-in-law has never discussed her relationship with Louis, even as if she was not married at all.

"When I get back, I'll take care of my divorce papers with Louis." when they talked, Novan came to tell his schedule back, "Yes my father's rested first tomorrow I have to go back to work."

Edbert nodded not forgetting his smile, "Bye father."

Nia from earlier was there, she was very curious as to who that woman was. Just now he had not misheard that the woman was his daughter-in-law, but why his attitude was not like that of a father and son-in-law, like that of a lover.

Laura came back with her actions, she always catered to the man who paid her a fantastic price. This is a rare opportunity for him, since doing this activity he always gets a very big advantage especially he gets an extraordinary job.

Every time Louis goes to work he goes out to meet a moneyed man, the poor man doesn't know he's doing this job to earn money. It was not in vain that he did this job, it was very easy to deceive a poor man like Louis.

"Indeed I want to marry a poor man like him, his company has a problem. I'm sure he'll soon be broke and poor, if he's poor I'll easily leave him." Laura said when she had tidied things up in the bag, then he took the bag to get out of there.

Louis is very distrustful of what he is going through now, the company that usually handled Novan has almost gone bankrupt and lives he who takes care of the rest that he still maintains. The problem is that he worked from morning until now has not asked Laura if he wandered again like yesterday.

"Why am I now suspicious of Laura, is this what Felia felt when I had an affair with Laura. But he's not angry, the proof is that he still loves me. He should have given a letter from the court but until now he had not gotten any letters." Louis' inner self stopped work and was busy daydreaming about his marriage.

"I'm sure soon she will be humiliated and demeaned like a widow in general" Louis said with a happy smile, he was very confident in his delusion.

"Good morning, sir." said a woman who had been in Edbert's room, smiling at Edbert and Bob.

Edbert did not respond at all to greetings from Nia, he instead immediately headed to work when Bob immediately gave a schedule.

"Nia, why are you still here. It's not out why it's still standing there." said Bob who saw Nia still standing there looking at Edbert.

"No sir! Does Mr. Edbert's clock break have a schedule? You see, I want to talk to Mr. Edbert" said Nia made the two men look at each other.

Bob saw a response from Edbert immediately check Edbert's schedule and then he looked back at Nia, "Edbert's lunch hour is not on any schedule, but you why ask Mr. Edbert to talk to you. Is this about the company?"

Nia smiled then shook her head, "No sir, this is not an office matter but rather my own personal matter. Well sir, if that's what I'll excuse you first."

Seeing the departure of Nia Bob immediately looked at Edbert, "Sir! It's not like lunchtime you want to go to Louis's company, why would you agree to Nia's request."

"Nia's problem is more important than Louis Bob, I want to solve my problem with Nia because I don't want the woman to misunderstand her own feelings."

Bob who heard it was confused with his boss, he did not know what happened later which he must know.

"Okay sir, if that's what I'm going to do first." Edbert nodded then he saw that Bob's shadow had left his room.

Edbert's lunch hour was waiting for Nia's arrival, he asked Bob not to bother him let alone the employees here. He wanted to make sure that Nia would not act like this again.

It didn't take long for Nia to immediately go see Edbert in the room, she was very happy when the man agreed to her request. I hope the man doesn't reject her, and he can tell her how she feels.

When Edbert Nia entered the room, he saw Edbert sitting on the sofa that had been provided in the room. Edbert who saw Nia immediately asked the woman to sit down.

"Please Nia what do you want to say to me, why do you ask me to talk alone with you" said Edbert continued to look at Nia.

Nia who was seen as nervous near this man, she did not know what to do for sure she had to convince herself that this man could fall in love with her.

Before speaking Nia took a deep breath and was thrown away, when she felt calm she could look at Edbert.

"Look sir, I love you." hearing that Edbert choked when he just swallowed water.

Edbert went back to being normal and then she looked back at Nia, "You mean.. You're expressing your feelings to me?" edbert asked making Nia nod.

"I can't accept you being my lover Nia." hearing that Nia immediately asked back.

"Because I already love others" said Edbert again broke Nia's heart, only this time she was rejected with a man.
