LIVESTREAM: The Jury of Death

LIVESTREAM: The Jury of Death
chapter 142

Outside the courthouse, protesters watching the death broadcast cheered a name on the street.

The investigator!

Had it not been for the sudden intervention of the Inquisitor, they would have probably watched Judge Harriman and the five heartbreaking men leave.

All they could do was protest angrily, as Harriman said, in vain.

And now everyone was very satisfied with the results of the death broadcast.

After the broadcast ended, the protesters did not leave. Instead, they continue to protest. Because even though Harriman and the exorcists are dead, as long as the legal system remains the same, there will be other Harrimans and countless more criminals and other victims.

Currently, the police officers who were maintaining order at the scene were extremely embarrassed. After all, they might have just sat together and watched a live broadcast with someone else's phone. Now, they are being asked to expel protesters. They can't do it. What happened today touched their hearts. Most of them had chosen when they were watching the live broadcast, and they also did not want that gut-digging gang to survive.

Right now, the scene outside the court was filled with angry protesters and police officers deliberately slacking off. Many police officers saw that people watching the live broadcast with them stormed the human wall formed by police officers and even pretended to be torn down. They made a gap so that protesters could immediately storm into the field. When the other police officers saw this, they did not go into the crack but pretended not to see it, and that did not stop the people rushing into the court gate.

Immediately, a large number of protesters rushed to the court and blocked the exit. They smashed Harriman's table and hammer, but they didn't hurt anyone.

A police car slowly drove out of the court's underground garage. Looking at the scene before the court, the police officer driving the car lowered the edge of his hat and smiled in satisfaction.

The police car drove into the distance and slowly disappeared at the end of the road.

The demonstration took place outside the court. It also happened in the California governor's office. A large number of people gathered outside the governor's office, demanding the government change unfair state laws and establish a system of judicial oversight.

The governor sat in his office, lit a cigar, and looked down at the people who were being confronted by the National Guard. He frowned, and then, as if he was thinking of something, a satisfied smile appeared on his lips.

He did not want his position as governor to falter because of Harriman the idiot. When Harriman was alive, he could tolerate Harriman because he was still valuable to him, but now that Harriman is dead, he is useless. He did not want to offend the voters who were angry for the dead. His position as governor depended on these voters so that he could maintain his influential position.

Thinking of this, the governor did not hesitate anymore. He stood up and went down to the main door.

When the people protesting saw the governor come out, they instantly became even more furious. They shouted loudly for the governor to step down.

When the media saw the broadcast of the death, they of course smelled the warm news and immediately rushed to the governor's office.

"Trs. Governor, what do you think about the death broadcast of Judge of Death?”

“This is the first time Death Investigators have convicted criminals outside New York. Do you think he will come to California often in the future?

"Are you going to order the police to arrest the Death Inquisitor as soon as possible?"

“People wants you to change state laws and establish a court surveillance system. What do you think of this?"

The governor looked at the protesting people and journalists questioning him. He was very satisfied with his plan. He looked at them and slowly answered.

“I know you're all very angry right now. I can understand that because I'm just as angry as you. I was so surprised that the San Francisco court still hid bastards like Harriman in it. I will consider creating a court monitoring system, but I still need to communicate with the legislative department to provide an explanation to the public as soon as possible. As for the Death Inquisitor, I don't know if he comes to California often, though, but I would urge the police to increase the pace and speed of case resolution so that the Death Inquisitor does not need to come and the arrest plan against the Death Inquisitor is assessed. I have no plans for now. I think he's protecting the dignity of California law and Justice. After I took office, the efficiency of the police increased greatly. Most likely they would instantly capture the Death Inquisitor. Even if the Death Inquisitor is really caught, I will forgive him!”

“Life justice!”

Hearing the excited speech of the governor, the citizens and the reporters protesting were all dumbfounded. They did not expect the governor to say this.

After a moment of silence, there was a warm cheer.

“Alright, I have to get back to work. Have a nice day.”

It seems that his position as governor could be more stable.

Like changing the law? Setting up a surveillance system for the courts?

No kidding. Those people in the legislative department aren't as easy as these people being fooled.

After all, everyone would soon forget about this matter.

As long as these words were published by the media and his approval ratings increased, it would be fine.

...

Victor looked at the protesting crowd outside and frowned slightly. His mind fell apart as he muttered to himself, "How did he do it?"

His police car followed behind him. He had only been gone for less than two minutes when he arrived in the alley. How did he arrive at the execution site so quickly without being searched by many police officers?

Suddenly, Victor's eyes widened in disbelief. His face was full of shock.

A bold guess appeared in his heart.

"Go! Grab your gun and follow me!”

Before he could finish his sentence, he opened the car door and got out of the car to walk towards the court gate.

The Los Angeles police behind him had blank expressions on their faces. They don't know what's been going on. What happened to the sheriff?

However, they still directly took his gun and followed behind Victor towards the field.

Victor and several police officers broke through the crowd blocking the door and quickly walked over to the court staff. Court staff took him to an information room in the court's basement.

As soon as he came out of the stairs, Victor sighed. The others widened their eyes and were shocked by the scene before them.

The corridor was covered in radioactive blood, almost covering the entire corridor. The walls, floor, and ceiling were all covered in blood. Did any meat fall from the ceiling?

"It's..."

"The Death Investigator actually dared to set up the execution ground in the court's basement ?!"

“Why don't we hear the explosion?!”

Victor shook his head and said lightly, “I don't know. Contact San Francisco Police to come and collect evidence.”

After saying that, he left without looking back.

What happened here has nothing to do with him. He was just trying to verify his own thoughts.

The death investigator ...

How could he leave so soon?
