Chapter 16//Secret Status

In a crowded shopping center Zoya is driving around while pushing a trolley. He would buy a lot of things, especially groceries.

There Zoya sees a pair of lovebirds shopping while joking. She was seen wearing a high school uniform. While the guy wears a work shirt. It reminded him of the good times with Rafli. Rafli used to pick her up after school. Then they went to the mall. Zoya daydreams about her time.

Suddenly someone patted his shoulder to make himself almost a hanger.

"Zoya, you're Zoya, right?" Ask a girl who looks the same age as Zoya.

"Nus ..."

The two girls who turned out to be friendly were directly hugging each other. They shared their longing for more than a year without seeing each other.

"Of Zoya, you're getting beautiful. I miss you so much." Ezra.

"I miss you so much, too, beautiful fairy prima donna one High School." Zoya replies with a laugh.

They ended up shopping together while chatting. During High School they were both besties. But since graduating and Ezra studied outside the city, they so never met and lost contact due to their respective activities.

After they finish making the payment, they get out of there. Ezra helps Zoya carry her groceries to the car. Ezra was carrying his own car.

Ezra orders americano ice, while Zoya orders caramel macchiato. Their tastes still remain the same from SMA first. When the two hangout either in a cafe or mall, the drinks they buy are always that.

"You still like americano, don't you get tired of that bitter drink?" zoya asks in amazement with her best friend this one.

"Why bored Zoya, me and americano have fused. We are like soulmates. The most important thing is that it is low in calories." replied Ezra expressionlessly. Ezra is the type of person who is easy to gain weight, so he must maintain calorie intake every day.

"Yes, the queen of calories." Zoya said with a laugh.

"Zoya can I ask you something?" ask Ezra to Zoya who is busy sucking her favorite drink. Zoya nodded her head giving a gesture of approval.

"Hmm, you can have a black card. E.. I'm sorry, but you're not offended by my question." Ezra said very carefully.

Zoya understood what her best friend meant. He is from the lower middle class, so it is not surprising that Ezra asked that question. But the problem now, he was confused what to answer. But if he does not answer honestly, Ezra is afraid to think negatively.

"Emm. The card was from my husband." Zoya said very slowly.

After talking for a long time, they finally decided to go home. Ezra leads Zoya to the lobby of the apartment building where she lives. Ezra was amazed. Her best friend's life changed 180 degrees.

Before going inside, Zoya stared around for a few seconds. He remembered that Rafli also lived in this apartment. No one's seen there. It feels quite strange, why he should be neighbors with his ex-lover. It was as if the world was so narrow.

"Ah why am I even daydreaming here, I have to prepare dinner for Mr. Andreas." Said Zoya who then brought in all her groceries.
