"It's ..." concluded Mama Lilian while patting her son's arm. "It's not good to say that. Let it be your own Papa's secret. Mama won't interfere."
"So Mama herself?"
"You mean?"
"Mama's views are with those Muslims."
Mama Lilian snorted again. Not then answered, but speechless with a look of laughter. Like I was thinking. Then he said, "For Mama, there is no reason for Mama .. to hate someone, as long as that person is good. Mama doesn't care who she is and who she comes from. Isn't it that our Lord also teaches us about compassion and love for others, Drew? Including people who are different from us."
Andrew clasped his mother's hand. "That's it, Mama doesn't hate Hanna, does she?" tanyanya.
Mama Lilian looked into the boy's eyes deeply. "What reason do you have to hate your own child, honey? Including you." He took a deep breath for a moment. "Mama was just disappointed with Johanna's decision. Not more."
"Keep Mama's support for Johanna's change?"
Before replying, Mama Lilian looked back first. Make sure her husband, Jonathan, isn't around. Then felt the condition was safe, he again said, "Enough your brother is one, Drew. Don't follow me, honey. Mama just hopes, what Papa and Tantemu worried about Johanna's decision, don't let her turn into a scary figure." The old woman rubbed her son's face. "Hopefully your sister will still be a good daughter."
Lilian often hid her heartbreak. Especially over Jonathan's recent treatment. Even so, Andrew knew that. But as a child, he was not able to do much. The fear of experiencing similar things, especially what happened to her brother, forced the child to prefer to remain silent.
Now that respected figure is gone. Buried deeply with an endless grudge against the thing he hates most.
After completing the funeral, Mama Lilian asked Johanna. "You want to go home, don't you, honey?"
Johanna wiped her eyelids that still look haphazard. "Tonight Hanna was home again, Ma" said the girl. "Hanna wants to nemenin Mama."
"Mama's house is still your home too, dear. Why did you say nginep?"
Timpal Johanna is confused. "I mean Hanna ... For a while Hanna hasn't been able to break in."
"So, Brother Hanna must miss Mama?" Andrew chimed in. "Now Papa is gone, Brother. I have no one but the two of us; Brother and Andrew!"
Hanna was confused to answer. Actually, that is not the main problem, but there is something that makes him hesitant to settle down with his family.
Aunt Chika who had never liked Hanna's changes and decisions, and happened to still be there, spoke up. "Yes, it must be .. he will not go back to the house again, Brother," he told Lilian to insinuate his nephew, "the reason is that the same life of the man was not clear earlier. What's-her-name? The Raven, huh?"
"Raven? That's a person's name or a brand of cigarettes anyway, Auntie?" Andrew wondered. "It's a weird name."
"Mas Ravi," Hanna confirmed. "The name is Mas Ravi."
"Yes, that's her name," said Aunt Chika. "So he went to the funeral, Lili."
"I know how, Chika," replied Mama Lilian.
"People are not clear! Different religions even follow our events. What do you want, try?" Again Aunt Chika spoke in a cynical tone.
"Aunty?" Hanna menukas. "What does Aunt mean, anyway?"
"That's it," Lerai Mama Lilian hurriedly mediated. "We are still in a state of mourning. Don't you want to appreciate Papa Atan one bit, huh?"
"Know Hanna" said Andrew.
"Well, how come Auntie's been wronged?" sahut Aunt Chika defending herself. "It's all because of you and that guy, Hanna! If you're not like this, Atan may still be alive."
"Why is it Hanna's fault?!" The girl was getting annoyed with her tantalizing attitude.
"Let's go! Try it if you're not sampe—"
"Already! It's already! Already!" mama Lilian's screams were accompanied by her cries. "Can you not understand my feelings? Your mom! Your brother!" yell at Johanna and Chika. "Not dry the grave of Papa Jonathan you see! You guys want to celebrate the unimportant thing here! What are you guys on crazy?"
All suddenly silent.
Andrew immediately invited Mama Lilian to leave the cemetery area, by way of breaking it down the cracks of the tomb building.
"Aren't you coming home, Hanna?" aunty Hanna asked, seeing that her niece was still standing there. "Do you want to meet that guy again on purpose?"
Not without reason the old woman asked that, because not far from there, the figure of Ravi seemed to be standing waiting outside the cemetery complex.
"Hanna is coming, Auntie," replied Johanna. "Hanna must be home, really."
There was a sound of annoyance from the old woman's mouth. He said before catching up with Mama Lilian and Andrew, "It's up to you. But just so you know, we're both not done, Hanna. You have to remember that."
Johanna's forehead was furrowed violently.
"Aunty?" the girl was confused. "What the hell is going on, exactly with Auntie? Not usually Aunt's acting like 'this is Hanna."
Starting with a wry smile, Aunt Hanna replied, "You'll also know, Johanna."
"Astaghfirullahal'adzim."
"Oh!" Aunt Hanna sneered as soon as she heard Hanna recite the last sentence.
'Yes, Allah .. Aunty ..' impaled the girl while rubbing her chest.
Outside the cemetery complex, Mama Lilian and Andrew had crossed paths with the figure of Ravi. Unasked, the man immediately approached.
"Hanna's mom?" asked Ravi while inviting salaman and immediately embraced Lilian. "I'm Ravi, Johanna's friend."
"Oh, what's wrong?" The old woman asked coldly.
"I'm so sorry for the passing of my husband."
"Oh, thank you."
Ravi said, "I'm sorry if I attended this funeral. That's why I'm late to hear about Johanna's father."
"Nothing," Lilian replied flatly. "Thank you, come."
"Yes, Mom."
"But I'm sorry .. we have to get home now."
"O, yes. Please, Ma. Sorry for interrupting my time."
"It's okay, Ravi boy. Excuse me first, yeah."
"Yes, Mom," Ravi said, bowing to Mama Lilian and Andrew. The same thing he did to Aunt Chika, but not in the least responded well by the old woman. With a wry look, he immediately entered the same vehicle of three with his brother-in-law and nephew.
