The Heart of Ana

Erlon breathed a sigh of relief when she found Ana was sitting dumbstruck in a skunk located not far from the Apertemen where they were staying. Slowly and carefully, he approached Ana, then sat down next to Ana.

"He'll know that you have a stupid twin brother-in-law like you, so he'll easily kidnap you and take you prisoner." Erlon paused for a moment before continuing her sentence. "His captive, so that Aurora may return with him. Because he must know that a brother will protect his sister in any way."

"Aren't you going to save me, if that happens?" ask Ana plain.

"That will never happen if you listen to me. Don't think too far." Erlon took a cigarette. "If that happens, I won't save you. Because there are still a lot of women out there who are much prettier." Erlon unknowingly scratches the wound back in Ana's heart.

Ana looked down lethargic, the tears that had dried up had now spilled back. Her heart was very sore hearing Erlon saying that. "If the Master never wants me, then why do you keep me by your side."

"We need to talk in the room." Erlon breathed cigarette smoke into Ana's face. "For you to know, why I keep you."

"No!" ana snapped which made Erlon clutch Ana's hand again. "Until when, I must serve you. Whereas you never put a taste in me at all." Ana could not stand it, she had to be more assertive so that Erlon would not be careless with her anymore. "I am tired, living like this" Ana stammered.

The clear liquid again managed to escape again on both sides of Ana's cheeks, sobs began to be heard in a matter of a few seconds just that cry had left a hiccuping sound. Because Ana just kept him.

Erlon thoughtlessly pulled out Ana's small body and immersed her in her arms. Erlon's hand moved rubbing Ana's hair and back. But, instead of subsiding, Ana's crying even more so-so.

"Sir, if you had known, this body would have stopped loving you and expecting you but why, this heart always refused to do that." Ana is now expressing her heart so that Erlon can find out. "Congratulations, you've managed to carve the word love in this heart."

"I never told you to love me … ." Erlon's grip tightened, occasionally kissing the top of Ana's head that was only as high as her chin. The guilt was very real infiltrating his heart. "Because the word love is only my duty" continued Erlon.

Ana who felt that her heart was already really very fragile did not pay much heed to Erlon's words. "Sir, can't I be happy just a little? Is there anyone who can protect me but myself? Why did God give me this much life's trials, from the time I was born to marriage."

Erlon let Ana spill all the burdens that had been stored neatly in Ana's little heart. He could only sit and listen.

"Then what am I living for? If my presence only became a burden to others," the words Ana spoke made Erlon's heart feel like it was being squeezed. "People who love me, and care about me why they just leave, isn't God really unfair." Ana's hand was raised to push Erlon's chest away and remove the hold. But Erlon descended it as if not giving a gap

to break away. "I'm so tired ... really so tired" Ana said. His entire strength was like being taken out of his body.

Erlon carried Ana's limp body, and she put it on the bed. Erlon then removed the remnants of the clear liquid that had already flowed at the end of Ana's eyes. "I'm sorry, if all this time my words have hurt your heart" whispered Erlon gently as she kissed Ana's head.

"When I found out, the harsh reality of what both my parents had done .. I somehow felt I had to make amends for all the mistakes they had ever made." Slowly Ana lay her head on the chest of Erlon's field which is now also lying next to her. "I'm the one who should be apologizing" Ana said before closing her eyes.

Erlon wrapped Ana's body with a blanket after seeing Ana's eyes closed, He then without hesitation hugged Ana's body. "Your salvation will be threatened, if my enemy knows all this" said Erlon slowly, because he knew Ana would have fallen asleep.
