Palembang, three years after the incident in Bandung...
I stepped my feet in a hurry towards a coffee shop most hits in the city of Palembang that afternoon.
Today I was quite busy, so many clients from out of town that I had to meet on the same day was quite tired.
After years passed, I managed to graduate with excellent grades from my own university in Bandung as I promised Papa and Mama back then.
Now, I've managed to get a very decent job even though sometimes the shadow of Luccane still comes.
I can live my life better indeed, but until now there has not been a single man who was able to fill the emptiness of my heart after the departure of Luccane the man I loved most in my life besides Papa.
Slowly, I pushed the glass door of the coffee shop, circulating the view to all corners of the room in search of a client figure who had arranged an appointment with me a few hours ago.
"Good afternoon Mr. Jake, sorry I'm a little late" I said after finding the handsome cross-faced figure smiling kindly to me as I walked over to him.
Mr. Jake was the last client I had to meet to discuss business today.
The man was not too old when seen from his face, maybe the difference in age with me was not so far away just that he already had a treasure and exorbitant social status that made the gap between us feel so obvious.
"No problem, Miss Vishabea. Incidentally the hotel where I stayed was very close from here so I arrived first," replied Mr. Jake in a voice that was so soothing.
Not only is his handsome face amazing, he also has the quality of a dream man that is quite awe me. Mr. Jake's manner of speaking was very well mannered with good manners, illustrating how high his education was.
"Please sit down and order a drink to your taste, Miss Vishabea," Mr. Jake said with a smile.
On the table we sat on I did find a big glass of cold Americano coffee, which belonged to Mr. Jake who was still intact.
"Thank you, sir. You can drink your drink first" I said, waving, trying to call the waiter over.
Soon a young man walked up to me and Mr. Jake, ready to take down my order.
"Mas, I want to order one hazelnut choco yes," I said to the waiter.
"You warm or cold, brother?" ask the waiter.
"It's cold, Mom. Thank you." Thank you."
"Well, please wait a minute, brother."
I nodded my head, waiting for my order to arrive while starting to discuss the business matter that Jake and I were planning.
"It seems to be very profitable if I make an investment into your company," said Mr. Jake seemed amazed by the way I explained the business mechanism that I will apply this time.
"I will try to give the maximum benefit to both sides, sir. So I tried to design the most efficient and effective mechanism," I replied with a faint smile.
"Now I have come across a very careful business plan like yours, Miss Vishabea. All right, I'll make an investment into your company with the nominal we've agreed to," said Mr. Jake steadily, making me smile triumphantly.
"I'm not going to make you regret working with us, Mr. Jake," I said, handing out several pieces of business contract agreements.
Mr. Jake nodded with a smile, signing the contract that I offered so confidently.
"I'm sure before getting this position there are a lot of life experiences that you have gone through" Mr. Jake said while returning the contract he had signed to me.
I chuckled softly. "not really, sir, I just live my life properly."
I raised my left eyebrow, puzzled at Mr. Jake's talk as if I were discussing my past Luccane.
"What do you mean, Mr Jake?"
"There is a handsome man behind you who is looking at you lovingly, Miss Vishabea. Who's she?"
My heart trembled violently, and my brain turned back all my memories of Luccane automatically until the figure appeared again in memory so clearly.
Luccane, that man can never completely disappear in my heart and mind.
"His form is very handsome with light brown hair and thick eyebrows, a pair of blue eyes and his body is also tall and sturdy. Did Miss really intentionally nurture that figure?"
I could not cry anymore, making Mr. Jake surprised so he hurriedly gave me his handkerchief.
Mr. Jake also seemed to feel so guilty that he repeatedly apologized to me for alluding to Luccane.
I bowed lethargic, feeling very guilty to Luccane for leaving without saying goodbye which must have inflicted deep wounds on him as well.
Luccane and I were both victims, we loved each other so much that we forgot the fact that we could never be together at that time.
The Universe and God who also opposed our love story had no idea because we too fell into the beauty of the burning love charm.
Such a beautiful and intoxicating love must end painfully, successfully wounding me and Luccane deeply with each other. Yeah, a wound I can never forget a little something.
"He's Luccane, Mr. Jake. He is not the person I have kept but the person I have loved until now. Our relationship couldn't possibly be united so I decided to close my inner eyes in order to continue living life," I said with a intermittent breath, trying to control myself amid my cries.
"I'm sorry, I really didn't think the story was so painful. You must have been very hurt by that, "sorry Mr. Jake, making me try to publish a smile as proof that I am okay.
"I'm fine, Mr. Jake. I love Luccane sincerely and vice versa. Although we can not unite but the bitter reality that makes me now able to become a stronger person as now," I reply.
"I hope that the best happiness will come to you soon, Miss Vishabea," said Mr. Jake, patting my right shoulder.
"Thank you, sir. I beg you to help me pray for Luccane to have the best place by His side."
Mr. Jake nodded. "of course, all of God's creations should return to their rightful place once the time has come. Luccane, you don't have to worry now that your girlfriend is living a better and happier life."
My fur is bristling, while Mr. Jake just smiles while watching the back side of my body carefully.
"I will love you until the sun never rises again, Vishabea Lazuardi. Now I have to go back to where I belong so promise me to always be happy. See you again in eternity, my dear."
The whisper sounded so slow and thin, yet I could hear it very clearly from the right side of my body.
My cry broke even more after realizing that it was a voice that I had been secretly longing for.
Of course, that voice belonged to Luccane, the man who chalked up such a beautiful love story to me.
Luccane, the only man I've ever wanted to be in every moment, who I miss every second.
"Luccane's gone to his last place, miss. Please keep your word to him, Miss Vishabea," said Mr. Jake.
I couldn't say anything to reply to their words because my heart was so messed up, my feelings mixed I couldn't describe one by one.
My head could only be bowed in lethargy, hoping Luccane would always be in the best place by God's side.
