"Hai—you, Maydea?" Keeran extended his right hand doubtfully to the blue-eyed girl. The other side of his hand was trying to scratch his non-itchy nape. He smiled stiffly.
For a few seconds, Maydea ignored the new figure. The girl prefers to focus her attention on the beautiful flowers that are part of the whitewashed villa building.
"You already know—so there's no need to ask again" Maydea said. The girl stopped her activity in watering the plants. He shifted a little, then panned towards the young man in the leather jacket.
"Yes" said Keeran, looking clumsy. He muttered for a moment, then rushed in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. The pull on both corners of her lips, automatically widened when the woman received a helping hand.
"What's your name?"
"Robert," he answered. He felt awkward when he saw Maydea's expression that did not show the highlight of hospitality. The girl's face looked flat, as if she did not have the intention to get acquainted with the young man.
"You arrived quicker than my father said" Maydea said. He took off his hand, then returned to water the garden which contained the majority of the various flowers.
"Your father?" ask Keeran, witty. His conscience feels bitter. To be honest, he was worried when he said that sentence. He doesn't want Maydea to be offended. However, his negative thoughts were simply unbelievable. The albino girl looked relaxed.
"Yes. Yesterday he said that the children of his co-workers would come the day after tomorrow. Doesn't that mean tomorrow?" Maydea put down for a moment the sprinkler plant, then do a little stretching. The air this morning was cool, making him more excited than usual.
"Indeed. But I came first. Ya—understand? This is just to make sure" Keeran said. He glared at Maydea intently, then scratched his arm because he felt wrong.
"Say Dad, I'll be your tour guide. I finally agreed with a forced. At that time, he also gave me a picture of you with your brothers" he said. Maydea rubbed her hands as the air cooled for a few seconds.
"I'm sorry if you had to." Keeran grimacing. The young man bit his lower lip, trying to shake off any strange feelings he felt. Maydea just stared at it with raised eyebrows.
"No problem" said Maydea. The girl stared at a clock hanging on the wall a few meters away from her position—then she sighed. "What's wrong?" tanyakanya.
"What's wrong? Meanin?" Keeran frowned in confusion. He looked at Maydea with a questioning look. For a moment, he felt washed away when his gaze, accidentally met the girl's gaze.
"Don't waste time just getting acquainted. It's almost nine o'clock. You don't want breakfast?"
"Oh!" Keeran looked awake. He smiles. A highlight of admiration, could be found from the look in his eyes. Somehow, he felt that Maydea was not just an ordinary village girl.
"By the way .., nice to meet you."
"Yes" answered Maydea, briefly. The girl sighed, then resumed her work with the figure of the young man who continued to follow for dozens of minutes.
"Still a long time, Maydea? The weather is getting hotter. Isn't that a good thing for an albino? Isn't your skin more sensitive than most normal humans?" The daughter of Mayla, chose to ignore Keeran after hearing the question. But only for a few seconds, he was clucking.
"I know that if my skin is sensitive, so are you. Can you stop tailing?Your behavior reminds me of Danu, Keer ...!" said. The teenager with the mane in high ponytails stared intently at the man.
"Andu?"
"My sister's ex-boyfriend. At that time he did not want to break up; therefore he always tailed Brother Gendhis," said Maydea. The girl looked directly into Keeran's eyes, making the young man misbehave and spontaneously turning her gaze towards the flowers.
"Look—doesn't that flower look like you?" yell Keeran, suddenly. With his index finger, he pointed towards a plant.
Maydea's forehead is wrinkled. The girl turned her gaze, then looked towards the plant Keeran pointed at. But apparently, his face immediately turned sour after that— made the perpetrator confused.
"Why? Ah—do you know the name of the flower?" keeran asked, looking enthusiastic, while Maydea could only exhale slowly.
"It's the Senduro Flower. Commonly known as Eledweiss. Its scientific name is Anaphalis javanica, from the Asteraceae family," Maydea said. The girl looked bitterly at the showy-looking flower. Yes, because he was alone, separate from the others. "Your analogy fits. But I don't like it very much" he said.
"Oh—why? I didn't offend you, did I?" This time, Keeran scratched his ear. He was confused as to what to behave. He is not the kind of man who is experienced in understanding women. After all, even though he had become an experienced man, it would be difficult to understand a figure like Maydea. The girl is different from the people in general.
"You wanna come?"
"No. I had breakfast before I got here."
"With what?"
"With ... instant mi." Maydea hesitantly mentioned her breakfast menu. Now, he feels like he is back to being a child of SD— where he would be embarrassed if asked what breakfast by the teacher.
Without a warning, Keeran who looked annoyed immediately pulled Maydea. If only the balance of the girl was bad, she would have already fallen when the young man started the action.
"It's not breakfast, the name."
"I'm sure you know that the calories in instant noodles are high." Maydea looked at Keeran from behind. To be honest, he felt he did not know what to do when dealing with an active youth like Keeran. Moreover, he did not interact often enough with others.
"But eating with instant noodles alone will not meet your nutritional needs, Miss ...!" keeran. Maydea just chuckled without a sound. It felt unbelievable when he looked this familiar with the figure he had just met.
"At least it's good for the stomach."
"Stomach wrenching? Which language, that? The stomach is not a door you can wedge, Miss ...! In your stomach there is a digestive organ that requires nutritious food to be processed, so that your body system can work properly. Youunderstand?" Keeran said the sentence in a funny tone. It was as if he was an elementary school teacher teaching his students about the digestive system. Instantly, Maydea felt deja vu. Keeran's behavior, managed to throw his memory on the figure of Mother who had long gone.
"Then?"
"Eat with us" Keeran asked. Maydea who still felt strange was silent. This feeling, either happened because Keeran was familiar, or because Maydea was already used to the attitude of not caring about the people around her.
"I guess—" Maydea took Keeran's hand off his hand. It's uncomfortable to have that kind of touch. Yes, even if it is from a handsome man though. "—it is not necessary, Keeran ...! Nah! No need," he said.
On the other hand, Keeran seemed to be frowning. The young man closed his eyes while recalling the story of the Aunt earlier. Honestly, he feels terrible.
"I'm sorry if my attitude makes you uncomfortable. Sorry, too, because I've actually been meng—ah!" Keeran held his breath for a few seconds.
Previously, Keeran had intended to tell the master, that he already knew the story of his life; but in retrospect, he thought, it was not necessary. The man did not want it until Maydea felt offended and pitied. In fact, Keeran is actually sincere.
"What?" Maydea looked at the leather-bound young man with a hard to interpret look. This was only the beginning of the meeting and they had not been acquainted for long, but Keeran had shown strange gestures that made Maydea feel increasingly unwary.
"I—it ..., uh ..., forget it!"
Maydea clucked. His eyes narrowed as he looked at Keeran with a probing look. He admitted, he felt suspicious of the young master of the Virya family. Is it possible that the man is interested in him and is trying to approach?
Suddenly, Maydea immediately dismissed the crazy thoughts that came out of his brain. He thought he was too confident thinking Keeran was 'interested' in him.
"Oh, yeah—what did you do last night, Maydea? Alone at that hour?"
Maydea thins her lips. He realized, Keeran is trying to divert his attention. But in the end, he responded.
"See candra," she replied.
"Oh, Candra?" Keeran muttered with a bright mind. Candra is the name of the person and not the moon as Maydea intended.
'Who's Candra? His lover? Or who?' his inner. Keeran, then looked at Maydea with a flash of taste that was difficult to explain. 'Am I ... interested in him?' the question, to himself.
Throughout his life, Keeran never felt attracted to the opposite sex. While in school and college, he focused only on himself, and did not think about anything about romance issues. Like, he was still so innocent, that he still could not understand his own feelings.
"Come ...! Think of this morning's meal as an introductory ..gift," Keeran said, with a faint, fluffy smile.
"You don't know if Mr. Bara doesn't like me. Many do not like me," said Maydea, making Keeran who realized it was stunned.
"No problem, Maydea ...! We can take the food to that chair, which is in front of the park. We can eat both there. Aunt Sarah, I wouldn't mind. After all, this is my family's villa," Keeran said, with an annoying grin at the end of his sentence. Right, he's the one in charge here.
