Chapter 28: Unliked Qiao Yu

The slap sounds he anticipated were not heard. Third Madam Qiao's raised arm was held tightly by a large hand, and Qiao Yue quietly lowered her slightly raised leg and looked at Qiao Jing.

"Third aunt, did you not hear what I said?" Qiao Jing said as she let go of Qiao Xin's mother's hand.

Third Madam Qiao fell a few steps back before she was supported by Qiao Xin.

"Second brother, how can you talk to mom like that!"

Qiao Jing ignored Qiao Xin and asked Qiao Yue to recount the incident. Qiao Xin tried to interrupt Qiao Yue a few times but was stopped by Qiao Jing.

After Qiao Yue finished speaking, the entire room became silent.

A moment later, Qiao Jing, who was not smiling the entire time, slightly smiled. He ruffled Qiao Yue's hair and said, "It's good."

"Second brother, I didn't hit anyone." Qiao Yue smiled at Qiao Jing.

"Yes." Yeah."

For some reason, Qiao Yue could hear the pampering tone in Qiao Jing's voice.

“Mrs Third Qiao, if you still have questions about what your daughter is doing, why don't you ask Qiao Yu? She almost became a victim too.”

Previously, the third mistress and Qiao Xin had not even realized that there was anyone else other than Qiao Yue. With this reminder, they suddenly looked out the door.

Qiao Yue glanced at him indifferently, lacking the previous warmth and familiarity with Qiao Yu. “It depends on my mood.”

After everyone left, Qiao Jing received a phone call and began reviewing the documents sent by her subordinates.

Since Qiao Jing did not let Qiao Yue leave, she picked up a book from Qiao Jing's bookshelf and started reading.

Qiao Jing's study room was full of books on business and finance. Qiao Yue had been reading these kinds of books when she was doing a photo shoot in KA, so she did not find it difficult to understand them.

Since childhood, Qiao Jing's parents were not by his side, and he lived with his grandfather. In the past, he often forgot the time when reading. His grandfather always accompanied him and would cough to remind him when it was time to sleep.

"Because I'm the one who brought you home."

"This only?"

"Yes." Yeah."

“If I really sue Qiao Xin, who will you help?” Qiao Yue asked curiously.

"Nothing."

“You won't help Qiao Xin? He was a member of the Qiao family. It will affect the reputation of the Qiao.” family

Qiao Jing's tone was flat, as if they were talking about the weather.

"You're very protective of me, but you wouldn't consider helping me?"
